Articles About Chiaotzu
Main Series Dragon Ball
Other Media That Time I was Reincarnated as Yamcha
I... I tried... At first I honestly tried to live my life as Chiaotzu!!! But no matter how many times I go through it, it never ends well!!! Yeah!!! I don't even know how many times I've died now...!!! I used to be an elite student aiming to be number one... Being Chiaotzu doesn't suit me. So this time I decided to try being the bad guy... With psychic powers and extensive Dragon Ball knowledge at my disposal I will rule this world...!!
~ Oushou to the soul in Yamcha's body

Background

Oushou is a normal boy who ended up in the "Reincarnation Game" as Chiaotzu. Oushou was the name he utilized online.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Oushou’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Background
Oushou was as avid fan of the Dragon Ball series and a player of Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. He was highly skilled enough at the game that he won many tournaments.

Reincarnation Game
At some point Oushou was reincarnated into the Dragon World as Chiaotzu and used his knowledge of the series to get by. However it continually ended badly for him each time, having numerous attempts at going through life as Chiaotzu.

Eventually deciding he'd had enough, he chose to go another route and planned to use his knowledge combined with his psychic powers in order to rule over the world.

Cell Saga
Oushou's presence was sensed by Kami, who likened it to that of the soul inhabiting Yamcha. When Oushou was confronted by the reincarnated Yamcha, the two battled with Oushou losing after Yamcha asked him what Yamcha's birthday is, causing him to let his guard down and be struck.

Yamcha attempts to use the Evil Containment Wave to trap Oushou in a jar but chooses not to at the last moment after remembering who Oushou was in his own world. The two then discuss their love for the series which causes Oushou to break down and cry and vows to change his ways.

Yamcha suggests that they use Fusion so they can assist in the Cell Games and Oushou agrees with idea believing they could possibly take down a Cell Jr. but realises it is not possible as they do not have identical energy levels or similar body types. However, Oushou remembers Ex-Fusion from Dragon Ball Fusions which allows anyone to fuse and the two head off to see Bulma who creates the device for them.

The two fuse successfully but their appearance is less than desirable so instead decided not to get involved and to never fuse again.

It is then revealed that Oushou along with Yamcha were just pawns in a game involving Beerus and Champa to pass the time.

Codex Statistics

Grade: B

Tier: At least 7-A. Varies-E with Strongest Charged Blast

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Power Source: Ki (All beings in Dragon Ball[3][4][5] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[6], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[7] block attacks that would otherwise[8] kill them from[9] raising their guard[10], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[11])

Attack Potency: At least Metropolis level (Potency) (Fought against the soul possessing Yamcha[12], who trained with Nail, giving him a power level over 10,000,[13], along with this he fought and held off against Saiyan Saga Vegeta[14], making him superior to Nappa, who casually destroyed a city and stood within the blast without having any damage). Varies: Skill with Strongest Charged Blast (Charged Blast have one focus all of their energy into one single point[15], putting the blasts power far beyond what their peak strength is[16], allowing them to destroy things they couldn't prior with their regular attacks[17], this also allows them to use charged attacks that can stop enemies far beyond their level, such as Tien Shinhan pushing back Semi-Perfect Cell with his Neo Ki-Ko-Ho[18], along with stopping an attack shot from Buu absorbed Gotenks[19]. Strongest charged blast can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[20], with blasts capable of[21] seriously damaging/destroying[22] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[23]. Charged Blast also rely heavily on emotional states for example Gohan not believing in himself[24] was having Cell overpower him in a beam clash[25])

Durability: At least Metropolis level, Higher with Guard Up (Ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even block attacks that would otherwise kill them from raising their guard), Lower with Ki Control (Higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them)

Striking Strength: At least Metropolis Class (Potency)

Lifting Strength: At least Class 1 (Superior to Saiyan Saga Goku, who before his training with King Kai is able to barely move around and jump in gravity that multiplies his weight by ten times, where he's naturally 62 kg, thus making him 620 kg on King Kai's planet and after training with King Kai, he is able to move around naturally in ten times gravity)

Travel Speed: High Hypersonic (Superior to Saiyan Saga Son Goku with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds)

Attack Speed: High Hypersonic

Reaction Speed: High Hypersonic (Far beyond 22nd Budokai Son Goku, who could dodge a mouth blast from Tambourine, which he used to tag the flying nimbus where even post King Kai training Goku used the flying nimbus to make it to the saiyans implying it is at least comparable to his flight speed by then, with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds)

Stamina: Superhuman (Should be comparable to Vegeta who stood thinking for three days without showing any signs of tiring or growing hungry)

Range: Standard Melee, Interstellar with Ki Attacks (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun) (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun)

Intelligence: Genius Intelligence (Possesses the combat skills and intellect of Chiaotzu, along with his own intellect, allowing him to be unaffected by Chiaotzu's shortcomings, such as him being bad at math)

Powers and Techniques

Equipment

  • Crane School Uniform: The signature gi of the Crane School.

Notable Techniques

  • Flight: This is the ability to fly using one's ki. Chiaotzu appears to have no trouble controlling his energy and is able to float in the air for longer periods of time than most others.
  • Ki Blast: The most basic form of energy wave.
  • Ki Sense: An ability that allows the user to sense ki and power levels. Learned from Mr. Popo and demonstrated during the Saiyans arrival on Earth.
  • Drill Attack: First, Chiaotzu rapidly spins, and then uses the speed to crash into his opponent with great force, seriously damaging him/her.
  • Dodon Ray: A superheated beam shot from the finger.
  • Dodon Barrage: The user overwhelms the opponent with repeated, rapid-fire blasts from the tip of their finger and finishes with a single powerful Dodon Ray.
  • Super Dodon Blast: This superior variation of the Dodon Ray requires the user to charge up before firing it at the opponent, rather than shoot multiple, weaker Dodon Rays. It also creates a much larger explosion upon impact.
  • Afterimage Technique: An ability to move so swiftly that an image of the user is left behind. Chiaotzu is shown doing this technique along with Tien, Krillin and Yamcha whilst jogging through a forest on their long journey to Korin's Tower.
  • Telepathy: It is a way to communicate with others using one's mind. Users can also read the minds of the ones they communicate with, similar to telepathic eavesdropping.
  • Telekinesis: A technique that allows the user to manipulate objects and other people with the power of one's mind.
    • Psychic Attack: Chiaotzu holds out his hands with palms out (sometimes in a Masenko-like position) and converts his psychic energy into an energy bubble in his hands. He then fires the sphere at the opponent, and it explodes on them, blasting them away.
    • Psychic Rock Throw: The performer uses telekinesis to lift a medium-sized to large boulder (tiles or debris) from the ground nearby, and then throws it at the opponent, inflicting moderate damage.
  • Explosive Wave: A technique where the user bursts out ki from all over their body in order to repel the opponents around them.

Other

Standard Tactics: Unlike the original Chiaotzu, he uses far more deadly telekinesis tricks and surprise attacks on his opponent.

Weaknesses

Note

  • Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities from ki use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up[150].
  • The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.

Trivia

  • Though Oushou is mentioned to have won numerous Dokkan Battle tournaments, there are no direct PvP modes in the game, although if one considers the World Tournament mode, it is possible that the Oushou typically got the top ranking (local, worldwide, etc.) whenever he participated in a World Tournament.

Codex Statistics Questions

Q: What about the planetary feats in Dragon Ball?

A: Planetary feats are normally done through their strongest charged blast, where they can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[151], with blasts capable of[152] seriously damaging/destroying[153] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[154], though they themselves are never capable of leaving this unscathed.

Frieza throws a destroy the planet death ball attack but it doesn't destroy the planet. Goku then interestingly notes the reason the planet didn't blow up is because Frieza was too scared of getting caught in the blast[155] . Vegeta's final flash is noted it's going to destroy the planet and Perfect Cell, who is beyond Vegeta, couldn't tank the blast and had to dodge it last second or it would've killed him[156]. Goku's kamehameha was going to destroy the earth and Cell cannot tank this blast, needing to regenerate[157]. Semi-Perfect Cell explosion was consistently noted it was going to destroy the planet and Gohan and it killed Goku[158]. Ultimate Gohan dies to an attack that destroys the earth, his guard was up too since this was when he was fighting Super Buu[159]. Kid Buu shoots a blast trying to destroy the planet, with Vegeta noting he's going to take himself out with it if he lets it off[160]. In Dragon Ball GT, Great Ape Baby Vegeta shoots a super galick gun that he claims will destroy Earth, when Goku is hit by it, he is knocked out to the point that he can't move for a good while, Elder Kai and Shin later state that Baby is going to shoot another blast that will destroy the planet on, greatly injuring Baby if he's caught in the Blast and will kill everyone on the planet if done[161]. Frieza destroyed the entire earth, killing Vegeta in the process[162]. In the Dragon Ball Super Manga, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't need to hold anything back and can go all out because anything that happens to the Earth can be restored with Dende and the Dragon Balls. Yet, none of Goku's all out attacks destroy the planet but just heavily causes shockwaves around it[163]. Semi-Perfect Cell unleashes a several blast that destroys several islands Android 16 notes that the attacks are just strong enough to not kill Android 18[164].

In the fight of Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza, who is far stronger than his final form, Mecha Frieza immediately goes for his strongest attack, the Supernova. In the original Z anime King Kai even states this is ten times stronger than the power he used on Namek:

  • DBZ Kai Version[165].
  • Original DBZ Anime Version[166]. The attack is directly noted that it could destroy the planet, but doesn't because Trunks catches it, when Mecha Frieza proceeds to detonate it, the explosion is massive but the planet is still intact, implying Frieza must target the core in order to destroy the planet.
