~ Hien to Hiryu |
Background
Hien was a young man who was taken into the Strider training program, nearly two thousand years after the defeat of Grandmaster Meio and the destruction of the Third Moon. Hien was skilled enough to earn his place as a Special A Rank Strider, which very few were known to have reached.
With his career as a Strider going extremely well, he was soon made the partner of the Strider legend, Hiryu. Hiryu, having been the one to have defeated Grandmaster Meio, carried with him a great reputation. Although Hien was honoured to work with Hiryu and became friends with him, he quickly started to feel overshadowed and jealous.
Overcome by his jealousy, Hien developed a resentment he could not overcome, and mysteriously vanished from the Strider program. In secret, Hien had discovered the remains of Grandmaster Meio, and resurrected him; pledging himself to Meio as his right-hand man. After years of working under Meio, he began to view him as a deity.
As Hiryu made his way to the new Third Moon in order to do what he had once done two thousand years ago, Hien was challenged to stop him in his path. Right before reaching Meio’s chambers, Hiryu was stopped by Hien, and the two engaged in a legendary battle.
Hien, still feeling some sort of comradery between him and Hiryu, begged him to stop fighting and join Meio’s side. He was unable to convince Hiryu, however, and was finally defeated in battle. Hiryu finally reached the Grandmaster, slaying him once and for all. Hien’s further whereabouts are unknown.

Powers and Techniques
Equipment
Weapons
- Geometrical Cypher: The Cypher is a weapon that functions as the sign of a Strider, being a blade made of pure plasma and gives off electricity. Hien wields a special type of Cypher, which is two blades that can be combined into one. As such, it has several different forms.
- Twin Tigers: When the Geometrical Cyphers are separate, they are known as the Twin Tigers. These function nearly identically to a regular Hiryu’s Cypher, although they are dual-wielded due to there being two.
- Dragon Claw: Combining the two Cyphers together, they become the Dragon Claw, which is usually used for defense. Hien usually spins the Dragon Claw in front of him, essentially creating a shield that protects him from most attacks.
- Phoenix: The two Cyphers are combined to form a “V” shape. When in the Phoenix form, Hien uses the Geometrical Cypher to throw it like a boomerang at his enemies.
- Climb Sickle: A metal sickle that Hien uses to climb up nearly any surface with ease.
Other
Weaknesses: Hien is prone to extreme cases of jealousy that causes him to do very rash things; his jealousy of Hiryu being the reason for Grandmaster Meio’s return.
