Background

Steven Quartz Universe is the titular main protagonist of the TV show of the same name, the film based on it, and its epilogue series. He is the son of Greg Universe and Rose Quartz, the only known hybrid of a human and a Gem and the first Crystal Gem of human descent. As a result of his parentage, Steven is an extraordinarily unique being with innate powers beyond that of normal humans and Gems. While he was only a child, Steven steadily grew from a tag-along to the Crystal Gems into the heart of the team thanks to his kind-hearted nature and resourcefulness.

Steven is devoted to protecting humanity and helping those in need just as Rose Quartz did, and though her monumental legacy once forced Steven to live in her shadow he has since surpassed her by ending the authoritarian practices of the Great Diamond Authority and establishing peace across the galaxy. However, the consequences of his mother's mistakes continue to haunt Steven and those he cares about to his growing frustration. Additionally, as his friends and family continue to grow and start to go out into the world and beyond, Steven has begun to struggle with his own self-identity and what he wants to do with the rest of his life. He has also started coming to terms with suppressed trauma that he has built up over the course of his years of adventures and near-death experiences with Gems.

At the end of the series, however, after holding his feelings in for so long culminates in him transforming into a giant Gem monster after coming to the conclusion that he is one, Steven's friends and family manage to get through to him with the power of love. In the months following, he decides to leave Beach City to go on a trip to see the world and find himself.

Age: 12 at beginning of series, 16 by Future

Classification: Half-Human/Half-Gem, Crystal Gem, Rose Quartz, Pink Diamond

Attack Potency: Wall level (Could rip off and destroy an arcade game machine) | At least Multi-City Block level (After learning more about his powers and getting used to them he could fight equally against Amethyst, who should be comparable or superior to Sapphire who could hit a baseball this hard, though she was more distracted by Steven's growth making her feel like the weakest member of the Crystal Gems. Fought Pearl together with Connie) | At least Multi-City Block level (Can fight Jasper who overpowered Garnet for a majority of their fight. Was even noted that he was holding back) | At least Multi-City Block level (As the fusion of Steven and Connie they should be far superior to Steven's regular self. Fought and defeated Jasper and her corruption) | At least Multi-City Block level (Easily defeated Jasper and defeated her when she fused with a corruption. Should also naturally be stronger then Stevonnie as Steven fuses with a stronger partner) | At least Multi-City Block level, possibly Small Town level (Casually pushed back all the Diamonds, including White Diamond, the Diamonds are considered to be the most powerful gems in existence putting them far above the likes of fusions like Alexandrite. See note for the reason for small town level) | At least Multi-City Block level, possibly Small Town level (Easily broke Lapis Lazuli's water chains and knocked out all of the Diamonds. Stated to be even stronger then The Cluster)

Powers and Abilities:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Creation & Energy Manipulation (Can summon his shield though he can't properly control when he can summon it by this point, it is described by Garnet that the way one summons their weapon is by linking their mind with the energy of all existing matter, channeling the collective power of the universe through one's gem), Weapon Usage (Uses a shield in combat), Attack Reflection (With Shield), Limited Shapeshifting (Can turn his fingers into living cats and overtime the rest of his body), Forcefield Creation (Can create a forcefield, this also allows him to breathe underwater), Age Manipulation (Can age himself based on his emotions), Regeneration (High-Low. His bones passively heal themselves the moment injuries occur, however he will still have facial injuries such as a black eye), Sealing and BFR (Can bubble objects and send them off to wherever he imagines as home), Healing (Can heal injuries such as Connie's sight and cracked gems), Vibration Manipulation & Matter Manipulation (Can cause vibrations with his shield that cause water clones to completely disperse, which requires molecular vibrations to even break apart water), Plant Manipulation & Life Manipulation (Like his mother, Steven possesses limited control and influence over plant life. Using his healing saliva, Steven can grow sentient and sapient flora by licking plant seeds. In "Watermelon Steven", Steven discovers he can grow watermelons shaped like himself. They act as his bodyguards, but they are not directly under his control, and the Watermelon Stevens ignore his orders and attack whoever they think is threatening him), Fusionism (Can fuse with other gems and humans), Limited Teleportation & Dimensional Travel (Can use warp pads to enter warp space and teleport to other areas with warp pads), Empathic Telepathy (In "Horror Club", Steven can sense the Lighthouse Gem Monster's presence as well as its emotional state), Technological Manipulation (In "Maximum Capacity", Steven appeared to be able to control Greg's TV-based upon his emotion), Resistance to Acid (Able to resist Centipeetle's acid, which could liquefy solid objects near-instantly), Gem-Weaponry (Because Steven is half-human, he is resistant to anti-Gem weaponry. He can pass through the yellow destabilization fields used in the Gem Warship and can grab the live end of a Gem Destabilizer with only mild discomfort. It is unknown what long-term exposure would do to him. However, repeated strikes from a Gem Rejuvenator will render him powerless.)

Standard Equipment:

Intelligence: Average (Extremely naive, and lacks knowledge of higher concepts, not even knowing words like "procrastinate", this is due to his lack of any school and the gems beings ignorant on regular human behavior and understanding. However, thanks to his dad he has shown knowledge in why things like thunder exist showing that he has operational thought. This is further supported in his various usage of creativity in beating enemies in his early adventure that can be formed by young children. In terms of combat he originally struggled due to the Crystal Gems starting off being generally incompetent [when it comes to training their first hybrid] and having a harder time teaching him how to fight along with him wanting to use movie based moves, however overtime with Connie he started training more with Pearl and getting far better in basic combat. Near the end of Steven Universe Future he trained more with Jasper allowing him to get better in combat)

Standard Tactics:

Feats:

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Key: Season 1 | Season 2-5 | 2 Year Timeskip | Stevonnie | Smoky Quartz | Pink Steven | Monster Steven

Note: Sapphire's feat was calculated to be 485 tons, assuming a fusion doubles one's power Garnet would be 970 tons, which is 30 tons off of Small Town level, thus the sheer difference in power between Garnet and the Diamonds should be able to give a possibly rating for Small Town level.
