~ Bruford to Jonathan Joestar

Background

Bruford is a secondary antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood. He is a knight who originally he served Mary Stuart alongside Tarkus. He was killed by Elizbeth I when he gave his life to save Mary. However before he was killed he was shown that Mary had been killed and that he will die for nothing filling Bruford with rage against humanity. Three hundred years later he and Tarkus would be resurrected as zombies by Dio Brando who they would swear their loyalty to. Dio would command the two to battle Jonathan Joestar which would result in Jonathan using his Hamon to restore Bruford's humanity allowing him to die in peace.

Equipment

  • Luck: Luck is Bruford's sword which he used to battle various knights three hundred years before Phantom blood. After being defeated by Jonathan Joestar, Bruford would give the sword to Jonathan as a parting gift.

Notable Techniques

Bruford growing his Danse Macabre Hair
  • Danse Macabre Hair: When Bruford was a human he learned how to control his hair as if it had muscles. Similar to the plant know as Mimosa Pudica, Bruford is able to grow and retract his hair by manipulating Turgor Pressure. This allowed Bruford to be the only person to complete the 77 Rings Challenge without a muscular build as he was able to carry the weigh of the rings on his hair. When Bruford was zombified he gained the ability to suck the blood of others through his hair. Using his hair Bruford can attack his opponent as a way to distract them allowing him to strike his foe's blind spot. Bruford's hair is sharp it, being able to easily pierce skin along with being strong enough to restrain Hamon users like Jonathan Joestar.

Other

Standard Tactics: Bruford will use his Danse Macabre Hair to attack his opponent either by using it as a third limb or as a way to restrain his opponent. When using his hair as a third limb Bruford will use his hair to grab his blade, Luck which he will use to attack his opponent.

Weaknesses: Zombies are weak to sunlight and Hamon. Hamon can cause zombies to feel pain.
