The Guardian Digger is a mini boss in Mother 2 (localized as EarthBound). There are five of them that appear in the Dusty Dunes Mine, each of which claiming to be the third strongest master of the hole.

- Shield β: Creates a three layered shield that halves the damage of all physical attacks. Each layer is depleted by a single hit, and the entire shield is destroyed by a critical hit. Using this while a shield is already active will add three more layers onto it.
- Lifeup α: Restores 75 to 125 Hp to itself.
Other
Standard Tactics: The Guardian Digger attacks by bashing or using its claws, and it will use PSI to fortofy itself with shields and heal itself. It begins battles with a power shield active.
Weaknesses: Has barely any resistance to PK Flash. Unable to defend itself if it is inflicted with Paralysis.
