Background

Kraid is a corpulent, three-eyed green reptilian extraterrestrial from the Metroid series. He is one of the largest enemies Samus ever encounters in her missions, taking up multiple screens at a time. Kraid is a Space Pirate, and though his rank within the marauding race has never been officially stated, he is likely a high-ranked member and may even be a leader, as he is a prominent boss in his canon appearances. In Metroid Blast, hew serves as a major boss enemy first fought in mission ten.

Codex Statistics

Tier: 8-B

Name: Kraid

Origin: Metroid (Originally), Nintendo Land

Sex: None, referred to as male

Age: Unknown

Classification: Brutal ruler of Brinstar, Awakened Behemoth

Species: Unknown

Occupation: High-ranked member of the Space Pirates, Attraction, Robotoic Entity

Status: Has been both Active and Destroyed several times, with his final status being Destroyed (Was first defeated in mission ten of Metroid Blast by the attraction goer, then would later reappear in mission twenty-four, and would finally be defeated for the last time in mission thirty alongside Ridley)

Alignment: Chaotic Evil (Is directly based on Kraid from the Metroid series[1], who is a high-ranking member of the Space Pirates. Directly fights the attraction goer in an effort to stop them and kill them)

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: City Block level (Can harm the gunship and power suit-wearing attraction goer in combat, the latter of who can directly survive the epicenter of Kraid's death, which generated an explosion of this magnitude)

Durability: City Block level (Can tank numerous attacks from the Gunship and Arm Cannon, with the attraction goers even needing to target specific weak points on Kraid's body to even damage him properly). Invulnerability and Resurrection make him extremely difficult to kill.

Striking Strength: City Block Class

Travel Speed: Immobile (Kraid is unable to move his body out of the lava pit)

Combat Speed: Relativistic (Can hit the Power Suit-wearing attraction goer and the Gunship, with the latter having galactic travel capabilities[2])

Reaction Speed: Relativistic (Comparable to Ridley who can block laser fire from the Power Suit arm cannon and the Gunship. The laser fire should be comparable to the inferior flashlight beam by proxy of being an offensive weapon, and both are massively faster than missiles)

Lifting Strength: Class K (Due to Kraid's sheer size, he would logically need to be able to carry this much to even sustain his own weight)

Stamina: Limitless (By proxy of being a mechanical being, Ridley should have no energy-related limitations)

Range: Tens of Meters via sheer size, Hundreds of Meters with various missiles and projectiles (Kraid can fire lasers and missiles across the entire Brinstar arena), Higher with Summoning (Can summon Space Pirates to attack from afar where he can't)

Intelligence: Unknown (Is directly based on his canon counterpart[1], with his intellect being left ambiguous)

Powers and Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Inorganic Physiology (Is purely inorganic due to being a robot), Large Size (Building Sized; Like his canon counterpart, Kraid is a very large monster, with his Metroid Blast appearance likely being his tallest yet), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance, Nutritional Self-Sustenance, and Restful Self-Sustenance; As a robotic entity, Kraid shouldn't require any form of restoration demands of life), Natural Weaponry and Penetration Damage (Physical Penetration; Kraid's claws are highly dangerous weapons capable of piercing Power Suits and the Gunship), Regeneration (At least Low-High; Can remove parts of his body and quickly grow them back), Resurrection (Is consistently resurrected after being destroyed and returns in later missions), Invulnerability (Physical Invulnerability; Kraid's skin is too thick for any normal attacks to pierce through[1]), Spike Manipulation & Homing Attack (Kraid can fire off his claws as boomerang-like projectiles that home in on targets), Curtain Fire, Energy Manipulation, & Light Manipulation (Kraid's body is littered with weapons and cannons that fire massive laser streams, energy balls, and rapid fire laser blasts), Explosion Manipulation & Breath Attack (Can fire missiles from his mouth that lock on to targets nearbye), Summoning (Can summon Space Pirates to attack from afar where he can't the more his body is damaged).

Resistance to Explosion Manipulation & Shockwave Generation (Missiles and Morph Bombs can't damage his skin, with them only being good for damaging his weak points), Pierce Resistance (Major Pierce Resistance; Kraid's body is immune to damage from the Power Suit arm cannon and the Gunship, and can only be reasonably damaged by having his weak points targeted), Extreme Heats & Magma Manipulation (Kraid starts his battle completely submerged in molten lava and can naturally survive in it)

Standard Equipment

Space Pirates
