“ | Let me hear you cry out in despair! Bruford was just a swordsman with a gimmick-- Using that hair of his! I respected him, but in the end he was naught but an magician... I, on the other hand, aimed to be a master of massacre! I kill and destroy with brute force alone! | „ |
~ Tarkus to Jonathan Joestar |
Background
Tarkus is a secondary antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood. He is a knight who originally he served Mary Stuart alongside Bruford. He was killed by Elizbeth I when he gave his life to save Mary. However before he was killed he was shown that Mary had been killed and that he will die for nothing filling Tarkus with rage against humanity. Three hundred years later he and Burford would be resurrected as zombies by Dio Brando who they would their swear loyalty to. Dio would command the two to battle Jonathan Joestar which would result in Tarkus killing Will Anthonio Zeppeli. However his victory would last shortly as Will would transfer the last of his Hamon to Jonathan who would easily overpower and kill Tarkus.
