Child

From The Codex
Revision as of 16:47, 13 November 2023 by GiverBot (talk | contribs) (re-categorisation per CFD, replaced: ===Powers and Abilities=== → ==Powers and Abilities==, ===Standard Equipment=== → ==Standard Equipment==, ===Notable Techniques=== → ==Notable Techniques==, ===Other=== → ==Other==, ==Statistics== → ==Codex Statistics==)
Sometimes clever, sometimes immature. For example, he carries a balloon to make him float, yet it's filled with water so he can splash people.
~ Child’s description

Background

The Child is the son of the Duplicator. He is often seen with his father, yet also enjoys sneaking around alone to spy on others. He has adopted the Bunny as a pet, yet he shows no emotion to the Lizard.

Codex Statistics

Tier: 10-C

Name: Child

Origin: Run

Sex: Male

Age: Unknown

Classification: Alien

Species: Unknown

Occupation: None

Status: Alive

Alignment: Neutral Good (Merely just a child exploring with his father)

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Below Average Human level (The Child has no notable destructive feats and is a child among his race)

Durability: Unknown (The Child doesn't seem to get hurt by any means in the game. Even if he hits a box while running at full speed, he simply stops, and won't get hurt. Also, since he can respawn, even falling into space won't kill him, and will send him back at the starting point instead making it hard to gauge his durability)

Combat Speed: Athletic Human

Reaction Speed: Athletic Human

Stamina: Very High (Can run across the galaxy without getting winded. Can keep running at a relatively high speed)

Range: Standard Melee Range, Universal with Gravity Manipulation

Intelligence: Average

Powers and Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Acrobatics (Has a jump height above Runner), Stealth Mastery (He is shown to be hiding in the background of multiple cutscenes, spying on the other characters), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance; Can naturally breathe in space), Gravity Manipulation (Capable of shifting the gravity while running), Resurrection & Teleportation (Respawning in the Run series is a canon element that teleports Child right back to where they died), Telekinesis & Limited Flight (With Rings can telekinetically move objects around to different places and allows the user to stand on nothing without falling), Statistics Boost (His jump height increases by ~10% for every consecutive jump; capping at the third).

Resistance to Space, Cosmic Radiations & Extreme Colds (Can survive the vacuums of space for long periods of time, with it being noted they've been in space for nearly a year and characters like Lizard casually sleeping in space), Gravity Manipulation (Implied by Runner that they do not follow gravity), Pain (He is able to hit a box with his head and let it speed away in space, seen during the Bridge Building minigame. From the impact, it should be understood that he was also hit in the head by the Box. However, he doesn't seem to mind the effect)

Standard Equipment

None notable

Notable Techniques

Respawning: Every time he falls into holes and gaps, he can respawn in the level, granting him the ability to use the trial-and-error method to figure out how to beat the level and go over the obstacle in front of him.

Invincibility: He doesn't seem to get hurt by any means in the game. Even if he hits a box while running at full speed, he simply stops, and won't get hurt. Also, since he can respawn, even falling into space won't kill him, and will send him back at the starting point instead.

Pain suppression: He is able to hit a box with his head and let it speed away in space, seen during the Bridge Building minigame. From the impact, it should be understood that he was also hit in the head by the box. However, he doesn't seem to mind the effect.

Other

Standard Tactics: Characters in run never really fight, though it’s likely safe to assume their method of attacking is running into the opponent while also manipulating gravity.

Weaknesses: None notable.
