Elder Guardian
Original

Background

An Elder Guardian is a stronger and larger variant of the Guardian and is an aquatic mob. Also unique to the Elder Guardian compared to its weaker species is its ability to inflict Mining Fatigue; A status debuff that significantly reduces mining and attack speed. It is the largest aquatic mob in Minecraft, as well as the strongest. Three of them spawn inside an ocean monument; one in the penthouse room and one in each wing.

Durability: Room level (It takes several hits for an unenchanted armored Steve/Alex to kill it. Can survive ghast fireballs), possibly Small Building level (Can survive hits from an enchanted impaling trident [An enchantment designed to kill aquatic mobs such as the elder guardian. This potentially makes it comparable to the Ender Dragon and the Wither)

Travel Speed: Below Average (Due to its older age, it is much slower than the typical guardian)

Combat Speed: Superhuman (Superior to the regular guardians and can tag Steve/Alex with depth strider), Higher with laser attack (One of the fastest projectiles in-game, only rivaled by lightning bolts)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Natural Weaponry (Based heavily on the pufferfish as it has retractable spikes all over its body), Aquatic Breathing (Type 1; As an aquatic mob, it has the innate ability to breathe underwater [Unlike other mobs of the aquatic species, the Elder Gaurdian can also survive on land]), Extrasensory Perception (Always tracks the likes of Steve/Alex even while under the effects of a potion of invisibility), Passive Statistics Reduction and Astral Projection (Upon getting a certain distance near the Elder Gaurdian, it will inflict the Mining Fatigue debuff, causing a 30% to 99.73% decrease in attack speed. When inflicted, a ghost-like projection of the Elder Gaurdian is manifested in front of the target's face), Energy Projection and Water Manipulation (Fires a laser beam that emits bubbles around it), Minor Magic and Durability Negation (The Guardian's laser counts as magic damage, allowing it to bypasses conventional defense), Non-Physical Interaction and Immortality Negation (Type 7; Can both interact and kill Vexes, along with various undead mobs), Minor Resistance to Attack Reflection (Its laser attack cannot be reflected back), Extreme Heats (Can survive in the Nether), Extreme Colds (Can survive in any part of the ocean including the frozen ocean depths)

Standard Equipment

None.

Other

Standard Tactics: The Elder Guardian prefers to hide away in the Ocean Monument where it's most safe. When enemies approach it, it will inflict Mining Fatigue in an attempt to scare off threats. If this fails, it will charge and fire its laser beam and use its spikes to damage those who challenge it in close quarters.

Weaknesses: Is very old and lacks mobility when compared to the younger guardians. Is very vulnerable on land and loses any mobility it had previously. Its laser projectile is dependent on the Elder Gaurdian's vision, thus hiding behind solid surfaces disengages the laser entirely)
