Greetings, X-Men I trust you're all quite recovered from Mesmero's Mindgames we have unfinished business, you and I. If you'll remember, when last we me, I swore that not all your powers nor your skills would save you from my wrath and they will not!
~ Magneto to the X-Men in Uncanny X-Men (1963) Issue 112.

Background

Max Eisenhardt otherwise known as Magneto, is a re-occurring character from Marvel Comics first appearing in The X-Men Volume 1 Issue 1 released in July 2nd 1963.

Max Eisenhardt grew up in a Middle-Class Jewish family during the rise of the Nazi's. Throughout his teenage years he was continuously by not only his colleagues but also even the teachers from his school. This eventually culminated when Max and his family were sent to the "Warsaw Ghetto". When the Nazi's began exporting people to the Treblinka extermination camp he and his family tried to flee for their lives. However they were caught and executed by a firing squad, leaving Max the last member of his family.

Later he was sent to Auschwitz where he was forced to work as a corpse burner to survive. Eventually he was able to escape from the camp and married a woman he met there named Magda and had children with her. This happiness did not last forever since as he was spotted using his powers, not long after his house was burned down with his daughter inside. On that day Max had enough and decided to strike back against humanity becoming the villain...Magneto.

Throughout his stint as a villain Magneto truly just wanted the best for his people even respecting his enemies Charles Xavier and his team The X-Men. Eventually he realized that his methods weren't helping mutant and human relations so he changed sides becoming a Hero and a valued member of the X-Men.

General Information

Name: Has used many names such as Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, Max Eisenhardt and of course Magneto

Origin: Marvel Comics

Sex: Male

Age: 82 - 83 years old

Classification: Former Leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, X-Man and Human Mutant

Status: Currently Deceased (During the Judgement Day Event he battled Uranos until he was brought to near-death by having his heart ripped out. However he manages to stay alive by using his powers to pump blood throughout his body. He and Storm were transported by Iron Man to Uranos. Storm and him battled against Uranos long enough for Iron Man to hack his weapons and used them against him, Defeating Uranos. Magneto had run out of time and laid in Storm's arms as he was on death's door. He asked Storm to take care of Charles for him before he died in her arms. Sacrificing himself to save the world and proving that he was a Hero.)

Alignment: Chaotic Evil (Was originally a very one-note villain who aimed to take over humanity. He was extremely abusive to the people he worked with such as Toad who he usually beat) | Chaotic Good (While he has been both a Villain and Hero he is usually characterized as wanting the best for his people and is willing to do anything to make sure they are safe. He however is known for respecting his adversaries such as Charles Xavier who he views as a close friend despite disagreeing with his beliefs. However for the past few years he has proved himself to be a heroic member of the X-Men even sacrificing himself to save the world)

Codex Statistics

Key: Pre De-Aging | Post De-Aging

Tier: Varies, usually 8-A physically. At least High 5-B with powers. Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually 8-A physically. At least High 5-B, Up to 2-C, Higher by stealing the powers of planetary objects. 2-A+ with Mobile Power Amplifiers. Far Higher with Resolve

Cardinality: Varies

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Varies (It is directly noted in "The End", there is a balance between good and evil where even when evil grows stronger, heroes will also grow stronger and even come back from the dead if need be to stop the new evils, keeping a balance between good and evil[1]. Thor has noted that a ones strength is relative to the need for it, if he has to he can stand on Jupiter, he can stand on anything if the need is great and the cause is just, as can anyone else, not being measured by strength nor raw power but rather measured by what they do[2]. It is noted by Stan Lee in response to the questions of "who would win in a fight?" is the person the writer decides to win[3], with the meta aspect of Marvel Comics being acknowledged[4]), usually City District level physically (Was able to knock out Quicksilver with one punch[5], Who should be at least as tough as Street Tier heroes like Moon Knight and Daredevil. Destroyed a table). At least Large Planet level with his powers (Was able to keep up with a held back Thor and even managed to send him flying backwards.[6] Thor even when held back should at least be stronger than Grey Hulk who managed to destroy an asteroid twice the size of the Earth.[7] Was able to temporarily restrain Namor.[8]). Far Higher with Resolve (Heroes are noted to be able to defy all logic and reason, to find some hidden well of strength and resolve allowing them to break through things they shouldn't be able to[9], Mephisto directly notes that a hero can reach deep into themself and find untapped reserves of strength that allows them to "lift the impossible weight"[10]. It is shown in "HOW TO READ COMICS THE MARVEL WAY #4", Spider-Man notes how when he has to call upon all of the inner strength within himself[11]. Spider-Man noted how when he knew he couldn't let Aunt May down he reached deep inside of himself and do the impossible and do anything to save the ones he loves[12]. Thor just having a motivational speech from Peter Parker amplifies him to easily defeat M.Y.T.H.O.S.[13], when he couldn't beat him beforehand[14]. Conan noted that the human will can be greater than any physical strength, even sorcery[15]. When Morlun was about to kill Spider-Man, he remembered his friends and family and got a resolve boost to start overpowering him[16]. The Thing through his heart alone when he was about to turn back into Ben Grimm was able to beat The Hulk in one punch who he admitted was stronger then him[17]. When Spider-Man in the first Sam Raimi movies loved ones are endangered Peter becomes far more powerful being capable of completely stomping someone who was previously stomping him[18]. Raimi Spider-Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe was originally defeated by Green Goblin, and in their next fight when completely angered, easily beat him down and was going to kill him if Raimi Spider-Man didn't stop him) | Varies, usually Multi-City Block level physically. At least Large Planet level with his powers (When transformed back into an adult[19] he stated twice that his powers were at their peak.[20] This makes sense since even before De-Aging he was becoming more powerful each day.[21]), up to Universe level (Banshee compared Magneto's power to the time when Phoenix saved the universe which referred to when she stopped the creation of a neutron galaxy which would've collapsed into a gravity well powerful enough to destroy the universe). Higher by stealing the power of planetary objects (Siphoned power from the sun and channeled energy from every planet within reach growing in power by the second until he was able to fight evenly with Bleeding Edge Iron Man.[22]). Multiverse level+ with Mobile Power Amplifiers (At his absolute peak power he managed to temporarily hold back the Incursion for a short time before he was eventually killed (See explanations).[23]). Far Higher with Resolve

Durability: Varies, usually City District level physically (Should be comparable to his own durability. Tanked a kick to the face from Hawkeye[24] who is comparable to other Street Tier heroes like Daredevil). At least Large Planet level with barriers (Was able to tank multiple attacks from a held back Thor although he admits that eventually it would break down.[25] Claimed that his barriers would be able to restrain even The Hulk and due to the context of the story this claim seems likely.[26]). Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually City District level physically. At least Large Planet level with barriers (His shields should be as durable as before. Was able to tank Cyclops' full power Optic Blast[27] which have enough firepower to rip a small planet in half), up to Universe level (The durability of his barriers should be of a similar level to his Attack Potency). Far Higher with Resolve

Lifting Strength: Varies, usually Unknown physically, Class 10 (Lifted the X-Mansion with only a "fraction" of his power). Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually Class 1 physically (Can break people's necks with his bare hands), Class T with his Magnetic abilities (Lifted an entire mountain). Far Higher with Resolve

Striking Strength: Varies, usually City District Class (Was able to knock out Quicksilver with one punch). Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually Multi-City Block Class (Should be as strong as he was before. Beat Red-Skull to death with his bare hands. Harmed Cable with his punches), Far Higher by stealing the power of planetary objects (Fought hand to hand with Bleeding Edge Iron Man and can punch with the force of a Sun). Far Higher with Resolve

Travel Speed: Varies, usually Likely Athletic Human physically, Massively FTL by using his powers (By harnessing magnetic waves he managed to pull himself from a planet in another Galaxy to Earth in a very short amount of time.[28]). Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually Athletic Human, Massively FTL (Should be around the same level of speed). Far Higher with Resolve

Attack Speed: Varies, usually Unknown, likely Faster Than Light. Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually Faster Than Light (Is able to keep up in fights with X-Men like Wolverine and Cyclops. Managed to activate his powers at the Speed of Thought, In Marvel the Speed of Thought is comparable or even superior to Lightspeed. He projected his consciousness at the Speed of Light). Far Higher with Resolve

Reaction Speed: Varies, usually Unknown, likely Faster Than Light (Dodged Cyclops' Optic Blast[29] which have been stated to be Lightspeed numerous times). Far Higher with Resolve | Varies, usually Faster Than Light (Should be as fast as he was before. Has fought against members of the X-Men numerous times who should scale to the long list of FTL feats done by Street Tier heroes like Daredevil and Spider-Man. Was able to react to Dazzler's Photon Blasts from a very close range. While Quicksilver has managed to catch him off-guard he should still be at least comparable to his son since he has tagged him before, Quicksilver has outran radio waves which move at lightspeed). Far Higher with Resolve

Stamina: Superhuman (Even though he is an old man he is still able to fight against a whole convoy of soldiers without tiring)

Range: Standard Melee Range physically. Intergalactic with his Powers (Sensed Magnetic Waves from another Galaxy and managed to use his abilities to pull himself back to Earth)

Intelligence: Genius (He has very in-depth knowledge of science and physics so that he can use his powers more effectively. He is also a very talented inventor as he invented machines to hold the X-Men captive and keep them unconscious.[30] He also managed to create an army of Mutants on his own.[31]) He is considered one of the finest minds on Earth with many of his discoveries guaranteeing him a Noble Piece Prize)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Genius Intelligence, Martial Arts, Magnetism Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation (Due to being able to tap into the Electro Magnetic Spectrum he is able to control electricity even being able to redirect Storm's lightning back at her. He can also shoot bolts of electricity.), Flight (He can do this by creating an anti-gravity field around him) also an example of Gravity Manipulation, Forcefield Creation, Limited Sound Manipulation(Redirected Banshee's scream right back at him.), Weather Manipulation (Created a cyclone around a Sentinel and has also created Storms), Limited Power Nullification (Managed to jam Jean Grey's psionic powers), Mind Manipulation (Does this by manipulating the brain's electro magnetic field. Can read people's minds if they don't have a mental block. He can also hypnotize people.), Statistics Amplification, Energy Manipulation, Molecular Manipulation (Can manipulate Iron down to the molecules.), Astral Projection (Can project his consciousness.), Blood Manipulation (Has manipulated the Iron in blood numerous times.).
Resistance to Power Nullification (Rogue couldn't absorb his powers.), Possession (Fought off possession from Proteus.), Mind Manipulation (Has fought off mental attacks from Charles Xavier and claimed he could do the same with Psylocke. His helmet also blocks telepathic attacks similar to Juggernaut's helmet.)

Equipment

Armor: Made up of lightweight metals tougher than steel.

Helmet: Not only does it protect him from physical attacks but it also allows him to block off telepathic attacks as well.

Other

Standard Tactics: Magneto will rely on his powers for most of his encounters with fellow Superhumans. Regularly magnetizing nearby objects and throwing them at his foes, or if his opponents have any trace of metal on them he will manipulate it. He will also use his forcefields to protect himself. Although he doesn't usually do it first, Magneto can still fight on his own without using his powers.

Weaknesses: Manipulating energies instead of magnetism can take a toll on his body, When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces. There are objects that he can't actually manipulate such as wood and even Vibranium.
