Background

SCP-6448 refers to an anomalous species within the deer family (Cervidae), known for possessing advanced intelligence and presumed sentience. These creatures often have physical deformities that distinguish them from normal deer. While their abnormalities vary, common traits include backward-bending legs, an enlarged chest or swollen abdomen, extreme thinness, eyes from unrelated species, forward-facing eyes, erratic or twitchy movements, lack of fear towards humans, walking on hind legs, and general bodily distortions.

Behaviorally, SCP-6448 deviates significantly from normal deer. They are known to stalk humans for extended periods, sometimes following them to and from their homes, where they steal belongings, food, and weapons. Though they rarely attack while indoors, their presence is unsettling.

SCP-6448 is typically encountered in dense forests, especially at dusk or nighttime when the person is alone. Acknowledging their anomalous characteristics in these encounters will inevitably lead to the victim's death. In such cases, personnel must immediately follow the Cervus Protocol outlined in the attached file.
