| ~ Syndrome |
Background
Syndrome is the primary antagonist of the Pixar movie The Incredibles. Initially, Buddy Pine was Mr. Incredible's biggest fan and hopeful sidekick, he grew to despise his hero after constantly being rejected by him. Over the next several years, Buddy would develop advanced technology and weaponry in the hopes of one day eliminating his former idol. He created the Omnidroid and tested it on several other "Supers," making sure it was ready to face Mr. Incredible himself.
Personality
- Fanboy-Turned-Villain: As a child, Syndrome was cheerful, eager, and deeply admired superheroes, particularly Mr. Incredible, claiming to be his number one fan. After being rejected as a sidekick, he became bitter and obsessed with surpassing those he once idolized.
- Sociopathic and Cruel: In adulthood, Syndrome displays a sociopathic streak, being sadistic, ruthless, power-hungry, and vengeful. He takes pleasure in manipulating others and causing suffering, especially when he is in control of events.
- Charismatic and Resourceful: Despite his malevolence, Syndrome retains charisma and ingenuity, using these traits to orchestrate elaborate schemes and maintain an image of dominance.
- Short-Tempered and Cowardly: While often arrogant and confident, he reacts poorly to unexpected setbacks, displaying cowardice when situations deviate from his plans. His temper flares quickly, leading to erratic and dangerous behavior.
- Obsessive Need for Attention: Syndrome craves recognition and control, enjoying the spectacle of heroes performing feats only when he can dictate the scenario. He combines his intelligence with a desire for validation, making him both dangerous and unpredictable.
Appearance
General Description: Syndrome is 6'1" tall and weighs approximately 185 lbs (83.9 kg). He has a barrel-chested build, giving him a broad, imposing upper body.
Facial Features: He has fair skin with light freckles, bright blue eyes, and prominent buck teeth. His red hair stands straight up, forming a widow's peak that resembles flames.
Hair/Head: His hair is a striking red, styled vertically to create a flame-like effect, emphasizing his flamboyant personality.
Clothing/Outfit: Syndrome wears a distinctive superhero-style costume, primarily black and white with red accents (details vary by scene in the film), designed to reflect his self-styled image of power and control.
Special Features: His exaggerated hair and animated expressions give him a cartoonish, caricatured appearance, reportedly inspired by Brad Bird, the director of the film.
Alternate Forms/Disguises: None noted; Syndrome primarily appears in his signature costume throughout the film.

- Inorganic Physiology (Non-living Object; A metal machine made to kill Supers)
- Large Size (Building Sized; The Omnidroids are each far larger then the average person, spanning at least the size of a house[24])
- Possible Non-Standard Interaction (Dimensional Interaction; Killed Blazestone[25], who can fight in other dimensions[26])
- Analytical Prediction (A powerful learning robot that enables it to solve any problem it is confronted with, every movement it spends fighting its enemies increases its knowledge of how to beat them[27])
- Energy Projection (The Omnidroids have a weapons system that allows them to shoot lasers[28])
- Limited Fate Manipulation (Lucius noted that Everseer, a clairvoyant, told Frozone exactly how he'd die and it wasn't supposed to happen to the Omnidroid[29], where it's noted how accurate Everseer's predictions are[30]).

Note
- The Incredibles comics may not be in the same continuity as the movies as they are based off the Rise of the Underminer game, directly referring to events from the game[39], which was the official sequel until The Incredibles 2 removed it from official continuity, but statements regarding abilities or physiology should be usable as there shouldn't be any reason they cannot be replicated in the movies.
