In Homestuck, there is a game the characters play: Sburb. This game ultimately decides the fate of the multiverse, and grants the players special abilities
Type 1: Sburb Player
The first stage of being a Sburb Player. Everyone starts out as this
Powers it Grants
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics: Due to their 9-A or 8-A ratings
- Limited Cosmic Awareness and Breaking the Fourth Wall: Aware of how there is a "cosmic authority" (The Director), knows about how "there are things that shouldn't be changed", etc.
- Weapon Mastery: Capable of using their Strife Specibus
- Time Paradox Immunity (Type 1): Exist as a "paradox clone", meaning they are immune to time paradoxes
- Telekinesis: Can "click" on objects and move them around
- Resistance to Heat Manipulation: Ignores the immense heat of Dave's Sun
- Resistance to Mind Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation, and Plot Manipulation: Can ignore Andrew Hussie's influence
Type 2; God-Tier
A God-Tier in Homestuck is a status one can attain by dying on their quest bed, both in the real world and their dream selves. Once this happens, they will ascend to God-Tier, attaining new powers
General Powers
- Immortality (Types 1, 3, and 4) and Regeneration (Mid-Godly); All God-Tiers do not age, and can not die unless their death is "Heroic" (Died with a heroic cause. For example, pushing someone out of the way of a fatal blast of energy, but putting yourself in the radius) or "Just" (If their death is deserved. For example, if one has killed many people for no reason). Should they die without either of these two requirements being fulfilled, they will revive afterwards. This can work to a degree of being crushed by the Green Sun (skip to 12:20), which is the largest source of raw narrative in the multiverse
Aspect Powers
- Breath Players: Weather Manipulation: Can control the wind
- Light Players: Light Manipulation and Probability Manipulation: Can control light and fortune
- Time Players: Time Manipulation and Time Stop: Can control and stop time
- Space Players: Spatial Manipulation and Size Manipulation: Can control space and size
- Life Players: Life Manipulation and Healing: Can control life and heal people
- Void Players: Void Manipulation, Selective Nonexistent Physiology (Type 1) and Resistance to Precognition: Can control the void, can hop into the void, causing them to be undetectable
- Heart Players: Soul Manipulation: Can control the souls of beings
- Hope Players: Energy Projection and Indomitable Will: Can project energy and control the emotions of themselves
- Blood Players: Blood Manipulation: Can control Blood and connections
- Rage Players: Rage Power and Indomitable Will: Can grow stronger based off of their own anger
- Mind Players: Mind Manipulation: Can control minds
- Doom Players: Fate Manipulation and Death Manipulation: Can control the fate and death of one being
Type 3: Ultimate Being
Ultimate Beings are full totality of beings, always present across Paradox Space. Where as an individual self represents only one instance of a person in their specific timeline and manifestation, one's "Ultimate Self" encompasses an amalgamated whole of all such individual instances of the self, their memories and experiences. They also have full control over the narrative
Powers it Grants
- Plot Manipulation (Type 5), Information Manipulation and Reality Warping: Ultimate Beings have full control over the narrative, and narrate most of Homestuck^2 and most of the Homestuck epilogues. Can slice through the very narrative and code
- Abstract Existence (Type 1) and Higher-Dimensional Existence: Ultimate Beings have no true form, as their essence is above all of Paradox Space, and are the manifestations of one's memories and experiences, as well as other aspects of themselves
- Nigh-Omniscience, Clairvoyance, and Cosmic Awareness: Ultimate Beings can see into an infinite sea of possibility, can see everything, and has full perspective of their aspect
- Conceptual Manipulation: Can manipulate their aspect
- Type 1: Up-scaling from the previous God-Tier, who don't age.
Type 9: If you kill one of it's avatars, as it has infinite bodies, it can simply create another. Can parasitically hop on to someone
- Type 8: Supersedes all of Paradox Space
- Acausality (Type 5): Supersedes all of Paradox Space
- Nonexistent Physiology (Type 3) and Regeneration (High-Godly): Stated to be in a varying state of un/non-double death, implying they can come back from it. Double Death is antithetical to the narrative
- Void Manipulation: Can alter the furthest ring, which is an all-encompassing nothingness
- Avatar Creation and Illusion Creation: Can create avatars of themselves, and can create illusions, such as Ultimate Barack Obama
- Dream Manipulation: Have shown to be able to enter dreams
- Energy Projection: Can cause energy to come out of their hands
- BFR: Can teleport beings into lower worlds
- Reactive Evolution: Adapts their body to their Ultimate Self, something a God-Tier can't do
- Omnipresence: Ultimate Beings encompass all of existence
- Resistance to Plot Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1), Void Manipulation, and Space-Time Manipulation: Supersedes Paradox Space
- Data Manipulation and Afterimage Creation: Can create after images of themselves (see image above), and can cut through data
- Dreaming Existence: (Type 2; Sees all of the Furthest Ring as nothing but a mere Illusion)
