Background

The Spiteful Crow is an enemy in EarthBound, being one of the many animals that attack Ness. It resembles a black crow wearing a bowtie and black sunglasses and also appears to have a large grin on its face. After being defeated, Spiteful Crows become tame, and always drops a Cookie. Ness first encounters them at Onett, near his house, and later at the exterior of the cabin in which Paula was kidnapped. They are also encountered by Jeff after he leaves the boarding school in Northern Winters. However, when Ness has to go to the Rainy Circle, the Spiteful Crows, along with the Gruff Goats and the Runaway Dogs are replaced with stronger enemies.
