Background

Totem Mimikyu is the Totem of Acerola's trail at the Thrifty Megamart, which involves Ghost type Pokémon. In order to lure the Totem Pokémon out, the player must take photos of several mischievous Ghost type Pokémon. To find the Ghost type Pokémon, the player must investigate curious phenomena in the Thrifty Megamart. When the player investigates one of these phenomena, the Ghost type Pokémon will become visible in the Poké Finder; when the player takes a photo with the Ghost type Pokémon in the center of the frame, it will spot the player and attack, giving the player no opportunity to submit the photos online. After defeating the Ghost-type Pokémon, what appears to be a Pikachu will run in the direction of the next phenomenon, running towards the back door once the player has defeated Gengar (the last trial Pokémon). After taking photos of the three different trial Pokémon and approaching the back door, the door will be unlocked. This where Totem Mimikyu appears and after defeating them, the player is rewarded with the Ghostium Z

Notable Techniques

*Play Rough: The user plays rough with the target and attacks it. This may also lower the target's Attack stat.

  • Shadow Claw: The user slashes with a sharp claw made from shadows. Critical hits land more easily.
  • Astonish: The user attacks the target while shouting in a startling fashion. This may also make the target flinch.
  • Mimic: The user copies the target's last move. The move can be used during battle until the Pokémon is switched out.
  • Leech Life: The user drains the target's blood. The user's HP is restored by half the damage taken by the target.
  • Slash: The target is attacked with a slash of claws or blades. Critical hits land more easily.

*Hypnosis: The user employs hypnotic suggestion to make the target fall into a deep sleep.

  • Sucker Punch: This move enables the user to attack first. This move fails if the target is not readying an attack.
  • Night Shade: The user makes the target see a frightening mirage. It inflicts damage equal to the user's level.
  • Lick: The target is licked with a long tongue, causing damage. This may also leave the target with paralysis.

  • *Shadow Ball: The user hurls a shadowy blob at the target. This may also lower the target's Sp. Def stat.

  • Hypnosis: The user employs hypnotic suggestion to make the target fall into a deep sleep.
  • Night Shade: The user makes the target see a frightening mirage. It inflicts damage equal to the user's level.
  • Shadow Punch: The user throws a punch from the shadows. This attack never misses.

  • *Screech: An earsplitting screech harshly lowers the target's Defense stat.

  • Will-O-Wisp: The user shoots a sinister, bluish-white flame at the target to inflict a burn.
  • Feint Attack: The user approaches the target disarmingly, then throws a sucker punch. This attack never misses.
  • Curse: A move that works differently for the Ghost type than for all other types.

  • *Water Pulse: The user attacks the target with a pulsing blast of water. This may also confuse the target.

  • Snore: This attack can be used only if the user is asleep. The harsh noise may also make the target flinch.
  • Spite: The user unleashes its grudge on the move last used by the target by cutting 4 PP from it.
  • Night Shade: The user makes the target see a frightening mirage. It inflicts damage equal to the user's level.

  • Other

Standard Tactics: Mimikyu leads with calling an ally first turn. It then uses physical Fairy, Ghost, and normal type moves along with being able to heal with Leech Life.

Weaknesses: Mimikyu's death manipulation requires the opponent to look at his true form and it is overtime along with the disease manipulation. If their disguise is broken, their neck is broken. Mimikyu is weak to Steel and Ghost type moves. Haunter and Gengar are weak to Ground, Psychic, Ghost, and Dark type moves. Banette is weak to Ghost and Dark type moves. Jellicent is weak to Electric, Grass, Ghost, and Dark type moves.

Note: While it was agreed that Wild Pokémon should not have pages due to the number of pages needed and how wildly inconsistent Pokémon species vary, Totem Pokémon are an acceptation as they are member from their species who is much more powerful than a normal member and were affected by energy spilled from Ultra Wormholes. They directly act as bosses as well, making them valid.
