Background
Eliwood is the protagonist of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and the father of Roy. Eliwood first appeared as a supporting protagonist in Roy's primary game, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. Though he appears as a sick older man in The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade showcases the events from when Eliwood was still a heroic young man.
As the Prince of Pharae and Knight of Lycia, Eliwood was childhood friends with a man named Hector, and would soon become aquainted with a woman named Lyn; these three would form a legendary trio, who get drawn into an ever-expanding plot featuring both human and dragon-kind. On this quest, Eliwood meets a young Manakete woman named Ninian, whose possible death or survival mark a huge turning point in Eliwood's future.
