Background
King is the S-Class Rank 5 professional hero of the Hero Association. In public, King is known as "The Strongest Man on Earth" and "The Heroes' Hero". In truth, however, he is just a normal civilian who unintentionally gained credit for the heroic acts performed by Saitama.
Personality
- Facade: King fakes the facade of being an immensely powerful being, where even robots believe he is the "strongest hero" where in reality he's a 29 year old unemployed, antisocial otaku loser[1].
- Helpful Friend: Despite his facade, the real King is actually a helpful friend. When Saitama was feeling down, King talked to him, giving him genuine advice and showing him his emotions still existed[2].
- Otaku/Nerd: King is a huge nerd in reality, loving a bunch of hero shows for kids, anime/manga, and video games. King even writes his own video game scripts for fun[3].

Powers and Techniques
All beings in One-Punch Man have a Limiter which through trying to break it[35], starts granting them the following abilities:
Indomitable Will (One that breaks their limiter need to have extreme will to continue[36]), Pain Tolerance (As they constantly need to put constant pressure on both their body and mind[37]), Accelerated Development (Passive, Physical Stats & Abilities; Limiter Removal, allows for endless growth as there is no intrinsic limit placed on people[38]), Adaptation (Garou has shown to increase himself to blitzing and overpowering Darkshine, who previously managed to break his entire ribcage, by breaking his limiter[39]), Supernatural Resilience (Characters like Garou were able to survive being ripped apart and a hole in his chest[40]), Resurrection (To experience explosive growth, one must be on the brink of death and die than resurrect[41]).
Equipment
Nothing notable.
Notable Techniques
- King Engine: A thumping that shakes the ground, a sign that King is ready for battle. "His blood must be gasoline." The thunderous sound is so loud that it has become the origin of many whispered urban legends. In reality, it is merely King's heart beating from how sacred he is. Though due to beings not knowing that, the sheer pressure from the engine puts fear in his enemies, and can even cause them to faint.
Other
Standard Tactics: King will never try to attack, trying to use his intimidating appearance along with threatening talks[48]. His extreme luck also seems to help him out in situations. If an enemy is not affected by his intimidation he'll opt to make excuses to "hold off the fight"[49].
Weaknesses: His name will not intimidate robots[50]. His name will also not scare people who have absolute faith in their strength, though his extreme luck will cause them to do things like overthink every action he does[51].
Note
- One-Punch Man has a weird two chapter numbering system, one based on those published in volumes and one based on the online chapters, along with the numbering being further messed with due to redrawn chapters and merges/splits, due to this it is not viable to do references to chapters, but rather through arcs.
Trivia
- King likes silence and peace[52].
- King dislikes crowds and noises[53].
- King's hobbies are training in the mountains (likely not true and moeso a lie he came up with)[54].
Battle Records
4 - 0 - 0
- Blizzard Bunch - Fight[56]
- Conditions: It was a fighting game comepetiton where King easily beat over 30 of Fubuki's men.
- Location: Blizzard Group Headquarters
- Elder Centipede - Fight[57]
- Conditions: Initially Genos, Bang, & Bomb fought off against Elder Centipede and then King & Saitama came later.
- Location: Unknown Forest
- Note: Genos, Bang, & Bomb could not defeat Elder Centipede and King goaded Elder Centipede to come to him so Saitama could hit him. If Saitama was not there, none of them would have beaten Elder Centipede.
