Background

Nightmare Bonnie is a major antagonist and one of the nightmare animatronics of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, first appearing in Five Nights at Freddy's 4. He is a nightmarish variant of Bonnie.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Nightmare Bonnie’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Physical Appearance

Nightmare Bonnie is a bluish-purple and broken-down animatronic rabbit. Many of his features are exaggerated beyond reality, such as his sharp teeth, big jaw, and claws. Parts of him have a lighter purple shade such as his muzzle, chin, inner ears, and belly. A large tear extends from his upper torso to his hips, almost completely revealing the endoskeleton beneath. He sports a red bow tie, just like his variants from the previous games. Like most of the other nightmare animatronics, his overall body shape is much different from his original counterpart, being much more squared and flat. He appears to be somewhat taller than his original counterpart as well.

Nightmare Bonnie's arms and legs have multiple smaller rips throughout. Just like the other nightmare animatronics, his hands are exactly the same as Springtrap's in design. His right hand and left foot are completely stripped of its fabric, showing yet more of the endoskeleton frame, like his counterpart from the second game. Both kneecaps are missing as well as the ankles.

As with all the other nightmares, Nightmare Bonnie's head appears to be separated into two parts for unknown reasons, giving him a gaping jaw. He has two sets of razor-sharp teeth. A large part of the material around his eyes are completely missing. His ears are bent at steep angles and have multiple tears in them. Nightmare Bonnie's eyes are almost the same as Springtrap's except with purple irises instead of gray. He also sports wiry whiskers on his cheeks, which resembles an actual rabbit.

In Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, his appearance remains mostly the same, save for a few minor changes. His irises are yellow orange instead of purple. His suit is a darker blue, and his whiskers seem to be missing.

Personality

Like the rest of the nightmares, Nightmare Bonnie is depicted as a cruel and menacing animatronic who desires nothing more than to harm his victims, making him the complete opposite of his original persona, Bonnie.

Codex Statistics

Tier: 9-B

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Wall level (Can easily kill William Afton. Should be comparable to the other animatronics, who can crush skulls, survive collapsing buildings, and are unharmed by a car crash that broke through a billboard. Can one-shot the security guard. They should scale to their novel counterparts due to being just as canon to the games, and are noted as alternate continuities. The animatronics in the novels can tear off bathroom doors, destroy other animatronics their size, break open hinged doors, casually snap people's necks, break open a ceiling, break through a slide, and punch holes through people)

Durability: Wall level (Comparable to other animatronics who can survive collapsing buildings and car crashes)

Striking Strength: Wall Class

Lifting Strength: Superhuman (In The Silver Eyes, it is stated that the animatronics are capable of lifting and tossing large arcade cabinets as if they were toys. The animatronics can tear apart William Afton)

Travel Speed: Superhuman (Comprable to Freddy Fazbear, who can run across from the right end of Fazbear's Pizza to the left end in seconds. Comparable to Mangle, who can climb from the lower vent to the ceiling seemingly in a second)

Combat Speed: Superhuman

Reaction Speed: Superhuman

Stamina: Limitless by the virtue of being a robot

Range: Standard Melee Range

Intelligence: Unknown (While patrolling as an ordinary animatronic, Nightmare Bonnie has shown to be well aware of his surroundings and even attempt to trick the night guard in question)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Immortality & Resurrection (Protection from Source; Nightmare Bonnie can be killed by the Death Coin, but come back due to always being revived by The One You Shouldn't Have Killed), Body Control (Animatronics are able to be dismantled, such as Mangle and move around despite that), Enhanced Senses (Can see and move around in the dark), Stealth Mastery (All animatronics are capable of hiding within the cameras, requiring the night guard to use the technology of the building to find them. Can quickly leave out of sight once a room goes dark), Inorganic Physiology (Non-living Object), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance, Nutritional Self-Sustenance, & Restful Self-Sustenance), Invisibility (Can turn invisible via cloaking), Illusion Creation (Standard Illusions; The animatronics at times can make the building change), Passive Technological Manipulation (An animatronic's mere appearance causes the technology to flicker and turn off, all animatronics upon entering a room causes the camera to go static), Intangibility (His UCN description notes doors can't stop him, which likely means he can simply just phase through them).

Resistance to Electricity Manipulation (Every animatronic in Pizzeria Simulator can be shocked without much damage. Sister Location animatronics can take controlled shocks)

Equipment

None

Other

Standard Tactics:

Nightmare Bonnie can visit two different visible places, these places being the Left Hall and the Bedroom when attacking. To keep him away, when checking the Left Door for him, the player should wait 3 to 4 seconds. If his breathing is heard, the player is advised to hold the door down until his footsteps are heard. Then, it is possible to safely step away.

Nightmare Bonnie, along with Nightmare Mangle and Circus Baby, will attack from the right hall. However, each of them will only attack once per night, and they change their order of attack each night so that the player won't know who to expect first.

Weaknesses: Appears to stop trying to kill once his plush is bought.

Note: This version of Nightmare Bonnie is primarily using Ultimate Custom Night as its basis due to being a creation made by Golden Freddy, being noted to be given flesh.
