Background

Mitsuri Kanroji is a protagonist of the manga and anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. A young, bubbly swordsman, Mitsuri serves as one of the ten elite Demon Slayers known as the Pillars. In particular, Mitsuri is the Love Pillar, as she specializes in the self-made Love Breathing style.

Mitsuri makes her first appearance in the series alongside the other Pillars, during the trial to determine the fate of Tanjiro Kamado and his demon sister, Nezuko Kamado. Although Mitsuri can seem quite unintelligent and airheaded on the surface, she has a big heart and strong sense of compassion that allowed for her to quickly ally herself with Tanjiro's cause, despite the reservations of her comrades.

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (Wields a sword with great proficiency), Regeneration (Low; Total Concentration Breathing allows for Demon Slayers to cease a hemorrhage), Immortality Negation (Type 1, 3, & 7; Nichrin Sword's are made of a type of metal that can kill demons when normal weapons cannot, as demons can survive fatal strikes such as decapitation much like the undead), Heat Manipulation & Regeneration Negation (High-Mid; Is able to obtain a Bright Red Nichirin Sword, which burn on contact, and are able to slow the regeneration of Muzan Kibutsuji to the point where it seems to have come to a halt. Muzan's regeneration is far faster than that of any other demon)

Notable Techniques

A Breathing Style that has been directly derived from one of the original Breathing Styles, Flame Breathing. Due to Mitsuri feeling unable to fully utilize Flame Breathing, she developed this style to suit herself. This style is perfect for incorporating Mitsuri's flexibility along with her whip-like Nichirin Sword, allowing for her to fight with far wider range and motion than is normal for Nichrin Swords.

• First Form - Shivers of First Love: The user dashes forward with a series of extended whip slashes that winds around and through the target.
• Second Form - Love Pangs: The user unleashes multiple powerful whip slashes around themselves.
• Third Form - Catlove Showers: The user leaps and unleashes a series of ranged arced attacks in quick succession.
• Fifth Form - Swaying Love, Wildclaw: The user somersaults backwards through the air creating a long whip-like string of attacks.
• Sixth Form - Cat-Legged Winds of Love: The user twirls upside-down and creates multiple extending slashing attacks before retracting it and extending it again, all within a very short amount of time.
