~ Lady Bow

Background

Lady Bow is the leader of the Boos of Boo's Mansion and a party member in Paper Mario. She is aided by her butler, Bootler. She is very strong-headed and a tad snooty due to her princess-like status in life, but is also kind-hearted in wanting to aid Mario so that he can save Peach and the world's wishes. She can slap enemies with both her hand and, when ultra ranked, her fan. She can also protect Mario from attacks with her Outta Sight attack and, at super rank, can also try to scare away enemies with an ability called Spook. Outside of battle, she can turn Mario invisible, protecting him from enemy attacks. However, Mario cannot move while in this state.

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Flight (Naturally floats in the air), Intangibility, Invisibility, & Power Bestowal (Is naturally intangible as a ghost. With Outta Sight, she becomes invisible and adds another layer of intangibility. She can make anyone intangible with contact), Fear Manipulation (With Spook, which scares enemies away), Air Manipulation (With Fan Smack, which makes a small tornado), Acausality (Irregular Causality; Bowser used the Star Rod to change the story itself. This caused the final battle between Mario and Bowser to actually not even have a plot, as the final pages to their entire story were ripped, meaning Bowser literally tore off the plot, which Bow battled on), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory, Nutritional, and Restful; Bow is a ghost), Undead Physiology, Regeneration (Mid-Godly; Comparable to Boos, who can regenerate after being destroyed as souls), Non-Standard Interaction (Can harm ghosts), Wish Granting & Truth Manipulation (The Star Spirits grant wishes to those who are deemed as good and towards people all over the world), Martial Arts (Defeated The Master and his pupils within their dojo), Paint Manipulation which includes: Conceptual Manipulation (Paint makes up everything, anyone in Mario can remove paint by attacking), Life Manipulation & Death Manipulation (Paint is all of life, and removal of it can cause a person or object to have no life within, having their concept of life be removed), Blood Manipulation (Paint makes up all of blood within someone, removing it is the same as removing their blood), Mind Manipulation & Memory Manipulation (Paint makes up the mind, as paint beings can directly speak to your mind by coloring your thoughts. Loss of paint can also remove your mind and memories), Spatial Manipulation (Paint makes up all of space. Removing it makes space as if it was solid), Metaphysics Manipulation (Soul Manipulation; Paint makes up souls and ghosts. Removing it is the equivalent of destroying your soul), Empathic Manipulation (Paint makes up all emotions. Removing it would mean the removal of emotion), Power Nullification (Paint makes up the ability to use powers. Removing it would mean the removal of using powers).

Resistance to Conceptual Manipulation, Heat (Can traverse inside of Bowser's castle and the inside of a volcano), Cold (Can traverse in snowy areas)

  1. "If you're familiar with things like Popeye and some of the old comic characters, you would oftentimes see this cast of characters that takes on different roles depending on the comic or cartoon," Miyamoto said. "They might be businessman in one [cartoon] or a pirate in another. Depending on the story that was being told, they would change roles. So, to a certain degree, I look at our characters in a similar way and feel that they can take on different roles in different games."
