Background

Hanzo Hasashi, also known as Scorpion, is a ninja, and honourable member of the Shirai Ryu clan, who serves as the face of the Mortal Kombat series. While most of his backstory is unknown, it is known that Hanzo’s entire family was killed, which fuels his anger and leads to most of the decisions he goes on to make in the series.

This blind lust for vengeance, and his desperation towards getting back to his family, makes Scorpion entirely self-driven, and he does not care who he has to kill to reach his end-goal. This has led to him being manipulated many times in the past, but at his core, Scorpion is not evil, simply self-motivated)
