Other

Standard Tactics:

Due to being within an animatronic, each animatronic has a movement cycle they go by, Balloon Boy starts in the Game Area and will eventually come to the Office via the Left Air Vent. With each of his movements, the player can hear him saying "Hello", "Hi", or simply giggling. BB will not show up on any cameras except the Game Area and the Left Air Vent, keeping his path of approach hidden. Balloon Boy will not kill the night guard, but rather he will make an annoyance of himself by disabling the Flashlight and Air Vent Lights all while a sound loop of him laughing will play until the player is killed or gets to 6 AM.

Phantom BB will sometimes appear in Hall (CAM 01), Hall (CAM 07), Hall (CAM 09), and Hall (CAM 10) and block its view. However, he doesn't appear in any of Vent CAMs. If the player does not switch cameras or lower the monitor, Phantom Balloon Boy will appear in front of the player in The Office and jumpscare the player as soon as the Monitor is forced to be lowered.

He will try to sneak in through the side vent. Close the side vent and wait until you hear a thud indicating he is gone. If BB slips in, he will temporarily disable your flaslight.
~ Balloon Boy's description in Ultimate Custom Night
Unlike other animatronics in the vents, BB will try to sneak in through the side vent. The player needs to close the side vent and wait until they hear a thud indicating he is gone. If BB slips in, he will disable their flashlight. After about 10 seconds, he will disappear, allowing the player to once again use the flashlight.

Weaknesses: If it hits 6 AM, the animatronic no longer targets and resorts to its daytime functions[27], though the toys seem to have messed with[28] having them attack Jeremy Fitzgerald during the day[29]. Can be fooled by a Freddy mask, though he is not fooled by the mask once he's in the office[30]. Bright light will hold Balloon Boy in place for a few seconds[31].

Sometimes a timeline gets so full that the only way to tell a real story is have the story set in a different timeline, an alternate universe, a different location, or perhaps from a vantage point that isn't entirely what it appears to be."
