| “ | Lord Champa hasn't behaved any better, Grand Leader; just look at the shape he's in. I tell him it's affecting his performance, and I work so hard to give him nutritionally balanced meals, but he throws the plates on the ground, and tells me I'm a terrible cook. Oh, it breaks my heart, sire! | „ |

Long ago, Champa and Beerus get into a fight because Beerus eats the single Puff-Puff fruit on their birthday cake. While they are fighting, Vados is questioned by her brother, Whis, wondering if she intentionally set off the situation by putting only one Puff-Puff fruit on their cake. Vados and Whis decide to end the fight by chopping Champa’s and Beerus’ necks because the fight could have destroyed the universe at the rate they were going. Champa and Beerus decide never to fight one-on-one again but have food showdowns instead. For decades, Champa has been looking for the Super Dragon Balls. In all of his searches, he was able to find six of the Super Dragon Balls. God of Destruction Beerus Saga
Vados and Champa are in space then they encounter Guarana's ship. Guarana and his crew has found a huge orb which Champa wanted. Vados watches Champa blow up Guarana's ship, then they leave. Vados warns Champa of Beerus noticing what he is doing. Champa agrees and tells her that they're going home and he'll give Beerus a gift. Golden Frieza Saga
Universe 6 Saga
After Whis explains why Beerus and Champa don't fight anymore, the rules for the tournament are discussed. The rules are that if Champa wins, he will use the Super Dragon Balls to switch the universes' Earth. To Vados' surprise, she knows that Goku has knowledge of the Dragon Balls. If Beerus won, then Champa will give the six balls he had but Beerus would have to find the last one on his own. The tournament will be held on the Nameless Planet in five Earth days at 10 a.m. Vados and Champa leave Beerus' planet after this. Vados and Champa are on the Nameless Planet arranging the arena. Vados asks Champa if he's picked his team, and he responds that he notices that Goku and Vegeta are Saiyans and that he needs Saiyans for his team. The day of the tournament, Vados is on the Nameless Planet waiting for the arrival of Universe 7's team. Once they arrive, Vados commences the writing exam to be eligible to compete in the tournament. Vados says the exam is ten basic questions to test their basic intelligence and they are given ten minutes but you must receive a 50 or higher to participate. After the time is up, Vados reveals everyone except for Majin Buu is able to compete, leaving the tournament five-on-four. The tournament begins with the first match between Botamo and Goku. Vados is surprised to see Goku moving at an unbelievable speed, going beyond her expectations of him. Botamo is beaten by Goku by a ring-out because Goku could not deal damage to Botamo. The next fighter for Universe 6 is Frost, going up against Goku. When Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan against Frost, Vados seems surprised of seeing this, implying she doesn't know about Super Saiyans. "Future" Trunks Saga
Sometime later, Goku has Whis ask Vados if she can hire Hit to assassinate him, due to being bored and wanting a challenge. While watching Goku fight Hit on Earth with Champa, she explains to him some of Hit's peculiar abilities. After the battle ends the truth regarding the entire ordeal is revealed and the two return to their own Universe. Universe Survival Saga
After Team Universe 6 and their universe were erased, Vados decided to sit with her brother Whis, Beerus and the Universe 7 drop-outs in their spectator bench section. After the Grand Minister reduces the bleachers to a smaller size, Marcarita questions Vados' sitting with Universe 7, to which she declared that “With Universe 6 gone, I thought I’d make myself at home with Universe 7.” |

Tier: Up to 4-C. Varies-E with Strongest Charged Blast
Cardinality: Finite
Dimensionality: 3-D
Power Source: Ki (All beings in Dragon Ball[2][3][4] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[5], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[6] block attacks that would otherwise[7] kill them from[8] raising their guard[9], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[10])
Attack Potency: Up to Star level (Buster) (Vados is comparable to her brother Whis, who is the strongest being in universe 7, being beyond Beerus in strength, where it was noted by Whis that one time when Beerus was angered greatly, he extinguished two suns[11]. Beerus noted with his power that he would destroy the entire solar system[12]). Varies: Skill with Strongest Charged Blast (Charged Blast have one focus all of their energy into one single point[13], putting the blasts power far beyond what their peak strength is[14], allowing them to destroy things they couldn't prior with their regular attacks[15], this also allows them to use charged attacks that can stop enemies far beyond their level, such as Tien Shinhan pushing back Semi-Perfect Cell with his Neo Ki-Ko-Ho[16], along with stopping an attack shot from Buu absorbed Gotenks[17]. Strongest charged blast can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[18], with blasts capable of[19] seriously damaging/destroying[20] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[21]. Charged Blast also rely heavily on emotional states for example Gohan not believing in himself[22] was having Cell overpower him in a beam clash[23])
Durability: Up to Star level, Higher with Guard Up (Ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even block attacks that would otherwise kill them from raising their guard), Lower with Ki Control (Higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them)

Travel Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic controllable speed (Far superior to Super Saiyan Gotenks who flew around the earth a few dozen times in this time frame), Faster Than Light with Warp (Warp allows Vados to transport between realms and separate areas in the universe in a short timeframe. Her brother Whis can use warp to travel to King Kai's planet in the otherworld in around 26 minutes and 44 seconds, which is in a completely separate body of space)
Attack Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic
Reaction Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic (Superior to Ultra Instinct -Omen- Goku)
Stamina: Superhuman (Should be comparable to Vegeta who stood thinking for three days without showing any signs of tiring or growing hungry)
Range: Standard Melee, Universal with Ki Attacks, Shock-waves (Comparable to Goku whose shockwaves spread across the universe and reached the Kaioshin Realm, otherworld, and more). At least Multi-Universal with Clairvoyance (Her staff should be comparable to Whis' where he has used his staff to show Beerus past events of the Dragon Bal history[24], including alternate what-if timelines[25])
Intelligence: Unknown Intelligence
Knowledge: At least Master level (Vados is the trainer of the God of Destruction Champa, teaching him all of his skill, and trained him to be the strongest in Universe 6)
- Chi Manipulation & Ki Manipulation (All beings in Dragon Ball[26][27][28] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[29], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[30] block attacks that would otherwise[31] kill them from[32] raising their guard[33], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[34])
- Aura
- Projection: A users ki aura can exert itself[35] as a weapon to attack[36].
- Explosive: Ki users through powering up can form an entire aura around themself, radiating their immense power[37], where depending on their immense strength, can cause them to explode their aura outwards to remove excess ki from themself[38].
- Mood Reflection: Goku and Piccolo Jr. with their auras and their stern concentration on each other reflected in their electric auras, even shooting electricity at each other[39].
- Emotional Empowerment (It's noted that ki users can receive energy through one cheering them on[40]. Ki users can be greatly increased by their emotions and beliefs, Son Goku explains that Son Gohan needs to remember the time he fought Cell and bring out all of the power he has, this way he can lose to no one[41] where it's shown during the Cell beam clash that he was holding back greatly out of fear of destroying the earth but from being cheered on and using all of his power within him, he was able to overpower Cell[42])
- Attack Reflection (All Ki users are able to reflect attacks just by being stronger than their opponent[43]. Examples include, Nappa deflecting a masenko from Son Gohan[44], Son Gohan being able to bounce back the spirit bomb[45], Son Goku deflecting a crusher ball from Jeice[46], Frieza deflecting a Final Burst Cannon from Vegeta[47], Son Goku reflecting multiple death beams back to back from Frieza[48], and Future Trunks being able to completely repel an energy blast with his hand from a Frieza Soldier just by being much stronger than them[49])
- Homing Attack (Ki users can create attacks that will home in and chase a target forever[50])
- Penetration Damage
- Weapon Creation (Ki users can create energy weapons out of their attacks[54])
- Power Absorption & Energy Transferal (Ki users can transfer their ki to others and absorb the ki given to them from others[55])
- Attack Nullification
- Power Nullification
- Ki Energy Based: Through having greater ki, one can nullify the powers done through ki attacks, such as Frieza being able to nullify a hakai ball[59], which fully destroys a target[60], though he is unable to resist a hakai ball from Toppo due to him being stronger[61], this ability however only works on ki, attacks unrelated, characters cannot resist through being stronger, such as how Vegeta, Krillin, & Son Gohan are unable to resist Guldo's psychic powers[62], along with even the likes of Son Goku[63].
- Forcefield Creation (Ki users such as Cell can generate forcefields around themselves[64]. These forcefields can be expanded[65], and used to protect others and defend against attacks far higher then the user[66]. Forcefields effectivel allow the ki user to be able to block substances from other ki techniques, such as poisons[67]. Ki users can also project forcefields around themselves to protect themselves from ki absorptions that require grabbing them and bringing them into one's body[68])
- Super Armor (Through releasing one's ki, they enter a state known as "Hyper Mode"[69], in this state they do not flinch from weak melee attacks[70])
- Self-Destruction (Ki users in Dragon Ball are able to[71] release all of the energy within them[72] to cause a massive[73] self-destruction of energy that normally kills the user and turns them into dust[74] though one can control it to surviving but having no stamina or energy left[75])
- Dormant Power Reservoir (Ki users have a dormant power reservoir within them, as shown in arcs like the Buu Saga where Babidi saps this energy in order to use the energy to revive Buu and break his seal[76])
- Internal Destruction (Powerful ki users can overload enemies with their ki, causing them to swell up and explode from the sheer density of ki within them[77])
- Binding
- Dreaming Existence (Characters in Shin Budokai have shown to create physical bodies in alternate timelines through dreaming[80])
- Non-Standard Interaction
- Intangible Interaction: Those with ki can block intangible attacks when they focus and notices them[81].
- Space-Time Interaction (3+1-D): Characters can blast space-time distortions to close them[82].
- Healing
- Healing Singular Targets
- Advanced Healing: Ki can be used to heal beings, allowing them to survive even with half their torso[83], it can also heal from near death[84].
- Healing Singular Targets
- Resurrection
- Resurrection of the Deceased (Limited): Ki users can resuscitate ones heart from death through instilling lifeforce into their ki and hitting their heart, restarting it[85].
- Resurrection from Exhaustion: Can heal downed allies to give them ki back, reviving them[86])
- Intimidation & Spirit Manipulation (Ki is the manifestation of one’s lifeforce[87], along with the aura giving one the feeling of being crushed[88], exerting fear[89] into the target, sometimes making them incapable of moving as their[90] body is instinctively stuck due to the sheer difference in power[91])
- Link Manipulation & Mind Manipulation (Characters can link their ki together and train within each other’s mind enacting in image training[92])
- Vibration Manipulation
- Electricity Manipulation
- Weather Manipulation (Powerful Ki users can generate entire storms through merely powering up alone, Nappa used this in order to conjure the electricity from the storm[97]. Goku showcases this when he first turns super saiyan, causing a massive lightning storm in the background[98])
- Energy Manipulation (Ki is the latent power in one's body, this latent power allows them to form and create energy from controlling their ki[99])
- Explosion Manipulation (Ki attacks can create massive explosions[102], or control the ki to set off a huge explosion under the enemy[103], or in front of them[104])
- Portal Manipulation
- Non-combat applicable: Characters in GT can link their minds together to open a portal between the living realm and the other world[105].
- Heat Manipulation
- Fire Manipulation (Ki users can manifest fireballs to throw at enemies[109])
- Light Manipulation (Ki can be used as a flash of light[110][111][112][113][114][115][116][117][118], Degisu seeing ki attacks be fired notes that the characters are "firing light from their hands"[119]).
- Aura
- Limited Resistance to
- Durability Negation (Ki users can focus their energy to localize an object to a specific spot to stop them from attempting to destroy their organs/insides[120])
- Soul Manipulation (Characters with a strong enough will can keep moving after getting their soul reaped, though this requires something akin to a familial or friendship empowerment)
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Martial Arts
- Weapon Mastery (Staff Mastery; As an Angel and Master Martial Artist, Vados utilizes this style of martial art when wielding his Angel Attendant Staff in combat)
- Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance & Restful Self-Sustenance; Vados can breathe in space and does not sleep)
- Longevity (Vados is older then Beerus, who notes he wiped out the dinosarus a while back[121])
- Multilingualism (Vados has the ability to understand and utilize verbal or non-verbal communication without any prior knowledge of the language. As such she is fluent in all languages in the universe, even able to clearly speak a crude dialect of a primitive race)
- Acrobatics
- Flight
- Enhanced Senses
- Extrasensory Perception (Gods are able to sense one's with godly ki, which normal mortals cannot sense energy emitted from a god[122])
- Autopilot (All angels are able to use Ultra Instinct, with them teaching their students how to master the ability to have all their body parts move on their own without thinking[123])
- Godly Ki Manipulation
- Immortality (Unknown Type; As an Angel, Vados can only be killed if she is "eradicated" - which will only occur if she violates the Angel laws)
- Power Suppression (Statistics Suppression; With ki control, able to suppress one's ki to be able to fight weaker enemies, along with vary it to hide their true strength)
- Sealing (Her staff should be comparable to her brother's, which can seal people in his staff[124])
- Cloth Manipulation (Comparable to her brother Whis, who can clean up people's clothes[125])
- Dimensional Storage (Comparable to her brother Whis, who can store things in his staff [126])
- Time Manipulation (Comparable to her brother Whis, who turned back time after Frieza destroyed the earth[127])
- Telekinesis (Telekinetically moved the super dragon balls [128])
- Barrier Creation (Created a forcefield for the upcoming Universe 6 vs Universe 7 tournament[129])

- Empathic Manipulation (Whis was unaffected by Ribrianne's love aroma[139])
- Poison Manipulation (Can resist poisons through Forcefield Creation[140])
- Angel Attendant's Staff: Like her brother and the other Attendants of the Gods of Destruction, Vados possesses a Staff which can be used for a variety of functions. In Xenoverse 2, Vados can channel her ki into it to fire Ki Blasts and launch her various Destruction Concerto Energy Sphere techniques. She also uses it as part of her Destruction's Conductor.
Notable Techniques
- Flight: The ability to fly with the use of ki.
- Ki Blast: The most basic form of Energy Attack. In Xenoverse 2, Vados can fire Ki blasts from the tip of her Staff.
- Immortality: As an Angel, Vados can only be killed if she is "eradicated" - which will only occur if she violates the Angel laws.
- Autonomous Ultra Instinct: As an Angel, Vados is always in the Perfected Ultra Instinct state.
- Warp: A transportation technique used to travel anywhere she wishes.
- Divination: Vados is capable of using her staff to look anywhere in the universe. Like her brother, she will close one eye while using the other to focus on looking through her staff as shown when she was looking for Universe 6's Earth.
- Strike of Revelation: A chop to the neck used by Vados to knock down Champa during his battle with Beerus.
- Time Rewind: Like her brother Whis, should be able to rewind time.
- Energy Shield: Vados is able to create an extremely large and powerful energy shield that can last for over five days. It was strong enough to resist ki blasts from Champa without a scratch.
- Matter Manipulation: Vados possesses matter manipulating powers, able to create an arena, food stands filled with food, portraits of Beerus and Champa, audience stands, and even a breathable atmosphere (which would require manipulation on the molecular level) on the Nameless Planet.
Other
Standard Tactics: As an Angel, Vados is not allowed to fight at full power and rarely allowed to fight unless it's training a student. Though she should have similar tactics to most other dragon ball characters which is using hand to hand combat along with ki attacks.
Weaknesses
- Standard Ki Weaknesses: Ki users that do not have sufficient training over their emotions put their power within a mental lock, with changes to their emotions can seriously limiting their powers or making them uncontrollable[141]. Their emotions can also have them instinctively block using the full power of their attacks out of fear of the destruction along with lack of confidence in themselves[142].Ki users can only sense targets moving at super speed through feeling their chi[143], with them becoming so accustomed to tracking energy that they've lost their eyes for movement[144]. Ki users can get hit by off guard attacks from characters far slower then them[145]. If ki users are paralyzed or their nerves are numb, they can be killed by much weaker attacks[146]. If a Ki user is inflicted with any kind of status, disease, or poison, powering up or transforming will put further strain on the body[147] and can speed up the process of poison[148]. Users of Ki Sensing cannot sense beings that invisible, even if the character is in front of them attacking them, they have a hard time countering them due to being invisible[149]. Users of Ki Sensing also have a harder time sensing the true being using illusions, requiring them to focus in on energy fields to see who is moving and who is casting the illusion[150]. Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, using a large amount of ki overtime can greatly weaken them to the point that characters far lower then them can actually harm them with attacks[151]. Taking large amounts of damage can greatly deplete a ki users attacks, making it where attacks that would otherwise kill massively weakened characters, only pushes them back[152]. Ki users cannot put all of their ki and strength into an attack if parts of their body are broken/injured[153][154], they also lose half of their chi if something like one of their arms are badly injured or broken[155].Ki users that are able to ki sense cannot do it when their guard is dropped, such as when Vegeta was able to sneak attack Son Goku during the end of their fight in the Buu Saga[156]. Despite some ki users being able to reach blasts that can destroy planets through charged attacks or techniques[157][158][159][160], they have not shown to be able to tank such blasts themselves[161][162][163], with attacks that have[164] destroyed several[165] planets in the series[166] always killing the character. Even characters such as Majin Buu's body cannot withstand the energy of a planet exploding[167]. Using ki volley attacks come with the caveat of their aim being rather poor, making it harder to hit moving targets. If ki users are at all possessed, even by accident, their true self will be sleeping within, with the possessor needing to awaken them[168]. Even if awoken, they are immobilized and unable to move without the possessor giving them the ability to[169], even with them wanting to wake up, they cannot do it[170]. Specific waves can can suppress a ki users power, and put their consciousness to sleep[171]. If Ki users stamina is broken, they will unable to be able to continue fighting for a short while, this will also cancel out any ki attack they were attempting to use, including ultimate's[172], this also adds on that ki users guards are down while charging ultimate attacks. Their stamina can also be broken if a character moves far too fast and surprise attacks them while they're charging their ki[173]. Ki Users can also be grabbed out of charging their attacks[174]. When ki users radiate their Ki at its highest, their body is also freed the most, making them open to attacks and making them easy to possess[175]. Ki attacks can be blocked by magma based attacks, such as even when Vegeta's strongest charged blast, the final flash, was being blocked by Magetta's magma[176]. Ki users have far lower reactions and speeds when they do not have their ki up or are not on guard, such as when Mai's sniper would've hit Goku Black if she didn't miss[177].
- Angel Weaknesses: Angels are not able to fight with their full power and must use restricted strength[178].
- Unique Weaknesses: Nothing notable.
Trivia
- Like the other Gods of Destruction and Angels, Vados is named after an alcoholic drink, in her case calvados.
- Given that her power has been said to be superior to her brother's (or is at the very least in the same league as him power wise), she is likely the strongest known female character in the Dragon Ball series, although this is without knowing the power of other female angel attendants.
- Vados is the only angel attendant to wear shoes that contrast the others, being white heels. She is also the only female attendant so far to wear all white heels.
Explanations
Codex Statistics Questions
Q: What about the planetary feats in Dragon Ball?
A: Planetary feats are normally done through their strongest charged blast, where they can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[179], with blasts capable of[180] seriously damaging/destroying[181] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[182], though they themselves are never capable of leaving this unscathed.
Frieza throws a destroy the planet death ball attack but it doesn't destroy the planet. Goku then interestingly notes the reason the planet didn't blow up is because Frieza was too scared of getting caught in the blast[183] . Vegeta's final flash is noted it's going to destroy the planet and Perfect Cell, who is beyond Vegeta, couldn't tank the blast and had to dodge it last second or it would've killed him[184]. Goku's kamehameha was going to destroy the earth and Cell cannot tank this blast, needing to regenerate[185]. Semi-Perfect Cell explosion was consistently noted it was going to destroy the planet and Gohan and it killed Goku[186]. Ultimate Gohan dies to an attack that destroys the earth, his guard was up too since this was when he was fighting Super Buu[187]. Kid Buu shoots a blast trying to destroy the planet, with Vegeta noting he's going to take himself out with it if he lets it off[188]. In Dragon Ball GT, Great Ape Baby Vegeta shoots a super galick gun that he claims will destroy Earth, when Goku is hit by it, he is knocked out to the point that he can't move for a good while, Elder Kai and Shin later state that Baby is going to shoot another blast that will destroy the planet on, greatly injuring Baby if he's caught in the Blast and will kill everyone on the planet if done[189]. Frieza destroyed the entire earth, killing Vegeta in the process[190]. In the Dragon Ball Super Manga, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't need to hold anything back and can go all out because anything that happens to the Earth can be restored with Dende and the Dragon Balls. Yet, none of Goku's all out attacks destroy the planet but just heavily causes shockwaves around it[191]. Semi-Perfect Cell unleashes a several blast that destroys several islands Android 16 notes that the attacks are just strong enough to not kill Android 18[192].
In the fight of Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza, who is far stronger than his final form, Mecha Frieza immediately goes for his strongest attack, the Supernova. In the original Z anime King Kai even states this is ten times stronger than the power he used on Namek:
- DBZ Kai Version[193].
- Original DBZ Anime Version[194]. The attack is directly noted that it could destroy the planet, but doesn't because Trunks catches it, when Mecha Frieza proceeds to detonate it, the explosion is massive but the planet is still intact, implying Frieza must target the core in order to destroy the planet.
