You paint the turf with graceful strokes. With watchful eye, I breathe a sigh. From sniper's perch, I go for broke.

Background
Inklings are evolved species of squid that came to be after rising sea levels sunk human civilization. Circa 2000 years before the events of Splatoon, the Inklings crawled up to what little habitable land there was left on the planet. The lack of space forced the Inklings to fight for whatever territory they could find, and the Turf War as a concept was established. The original Turf Wars were overseen by Judd, who was cryogenically frozen by his human owner before the Earth was flooded. 100 years before the events of Splatoon, the Inklings and the Octarians engaged in a Great Turf War after otherwise having good relations, but rising sea levels caused them to fight over the remaining territory. A young Cap'n Cuttlefish and his Inkling comrades won, forcing the Octarians to retreat into desolate areas such as Octo Valley and Octo Canyon.

Goggles despite being new to Turf Wars[18] was able to win against a team that had prior experience[19]. Initially outclassed and overpowered by Team Army[20], a team that is regarded as being extremely skilled[21] and strong against[22] lower ranks[23]. Despite all odds stacked against them, Team Blue managed to win[24]. Glasses noted that the team was getting stronger[25]. Goggles can quickly gain muscle from sit-ups[26] and push-ups[27], however it is tied[28] by his stamina[29]. Initially was losing against Team Dark Green[30], but later won at the end[31]. Initially lost to Team Cyan[32], which they later win and overpower the team[33]. Goggles stated became just as strong as Team Cyan[34] in just within that battle. Team Dark Green claimed they got stronger since last time[35], and held an advantage against Team Blue[36]. Team Blue however managed to pull back and take the victory[37]. During their first match, Team Blue was completely outclassed[38] and overpowered by Team Purple[39]. Team Purple was claimed to be the strongest team[40] amongst the other S4 teams[41]. Even after training with Team Yellow-Green, they were casually being defeated by Skull[42]. However, Team Blue managed to grow[43] and later overpower[44] the opposing team[45], giving them the win[46]. Initially was defeated by the Green Team's new weapons[47], however Team Blue soon adapted and came on top[48]. At first, Team Blue held a disadvantage against Team Ikarus[49] due to using new weapons[50] and fighting at a new map[51] with no prior experience. Despite this, they managed to adapt[52] and ending up winning against Team Ikarus and other teams[53]. Team Blue first claimed that Team Inkfall were too fast and strong. Inklings are hinted to be naturally smarter than humans. Inklings can also grow smarter during battle, being able to adapt to new scenarios and battles, and winning against those with more experience, strength, and speed.
