Lore

The universe is just another game to this super hacker. No matter how thorny the defense system, Silver Wolf can crack it with ease. Her hacking battle with Screwllum of the Genius Society has become stuff of legends in the hacking world. How many more levels are there to beat in the universe? Silver Wolf looks forward to finding out.

She toyed with the joystick, day in, day out. A fast food restaurant with only one employee, a basement turned into an arcade hall, several old arcade machines — this was her childhood.

She didn't have a legal name or an identity number, only a nickname the proprietress chose for her. She did not have any friends, but she is not lonely. She liked the game of Pong — two lines and a dot of light, the simplest of ball games. She could play it for a whole day. She liked Battle Wheel 32 — eight blocks of different colors on a matrix-drawn sky. There was only one rule: Win, no matter what. She liked Geometric Wars, Odysseus, and Star Cheetah. The score records on these games were filled with astronomical numbers left by other patrons.

She toyed with the joystick, day in, day out. Until one day, only one name remained on all of the score records.

She set down the joystick and looked around the empty basement. Many people have sought respite in this place, but few stayed behind. Many have left, but few returned. She blinked and turned off the screen.

That night, the only employee of the fast food restaurant said goodbye to proprietress, and became the next person to leave. The game called Basement ended that night.

She traveled west through the barren land, arriving at Mount Scrap. She wants to find a job, but was obstructed by her tendency to be a loner. On Punklorde, almost everyone works in teams. Loners usually don't last long.

Acquiescing to her situation, she fabricated some virtual partners. Her first one was called Friend. Of course it was. Her second was Demon Lord, inspired by a poster she saw on the streets. In her imagination, it was a veteran who had lost the ability to speak. She suddenly thought this team was too harmonious and lacked realism, so she named the third one Whitecollar and the fourth Servant. Her final one was called Preschool Classmate — there wasn't a special meaning attached to this. She just really ran out of ideas. After much deliberation, she deleted this last person from her list. She stored her "partners" in an intelligent weapon, so she could pompously introduce her sizable team to intermediaries.

She got her first job — its risk was as unimaginable as its reward. Maybe she sold herself too well that people believed her, or they just wanted to see this newbie's performance, dead or alive.

On Punklorde, almost everyone works in teams. Loners usually don't last long. Those who could last would eventually become legends.

After 24 system hours, she walked out of the Slag Gang's base — alone and through the front gate. The intermediary was silent. They looked at her, then at the sky, before turning around to toss a chest full of gold ingots on the ground. The game called Mount Scrap ended that day.

She stood at the top of the tallest building in the Rainbow City, from which she could see her birthplace. A fast food restaurant with only one employee, a basement turned into an arcade hall, several old arcade machines — this was her childhood.

She remembered liking the game of Pong — two lines and a dot of light, the simplest of ball games. She could play it for a whole day. Just like how right now the crimson lights of the hoard of drones filled the night sky in crisscrossed line. Wave by wave they swarmed her, and wave by wave they fell.

She remembered liking Battle Wheel 32 — eight blocks of different colors on a matrix-drawn sky. There was only one rule: Win, no matter what. Just like how right now distinct colors split the internet into eight regions, and people from all kinds of organizations gather in the square for a singular goal — to capture Silver Wolf, no matter the cost.

She remembered liking Geometric Wars, liking Odysseus, liking Star Cheetah. The score records on these games were filled with insurmountable, astronomical numbers. Just like how right now— Wait, no, only this is somewhat different... "Insurmountable." Hah, what's that?

She stood at the top of the tallest building in the Rainbow City, from which she could see her birthplace. She has climbed too high for another person to stand beside her. However, she looked up even higher than before. She can see the starry skies within reach of her hands, but yet so impossibly far.

"So boring." The game called Rainbow City ended that day.

She stood on a chair and dusted the screen of the arcade machine in circular motions again and again, trying to wipe away each particle of dust on it. She returned to that fast food restaurant, to that basement. She opened the door, and everything was where they used to be. The proprietress kept all the arrangements for her.

The soft pink light spilled on the screen like the neon lights in the city, reminding her of the starry skies she saw on that day. She was not the first to reach the top of that building, and not the first to have gazed upon those starry expanses. She knew the story of Zero, the greatest hacker and the most terrifying player in the era of Internet Wars. He caused the first global network paralysis just to summon the IPC's escort ship to his doorstep. She thought of Sage, the creator of the aether editing technology, a weirdo who named himself after the dead. To leave the planet, he was willing to discard his physical flesh, raid into the Dark Zone, and become a wraith eternally wandering the Interastral Network. She recalled Stoneblade, the pride of Mount Scrap. His tales of resisting the Oasis Zone were oft-told among families in the barren land. Some said he eventually left with the Galaxy Rangers, continuing his rebellious spark in the galaxy. His lover, Twinsnake, a celebrity in the Oasis Zone. Her whereabouts were widely disputed, and all people knew was that their birth could not stop them from being together, but the galaxy eventually parted them.

On Punklorde, any hacker who can be called "legendary" has ended up with the same fate. As the legend of the current era, she knew that she has already arrived at that threshold.

Clop, clop... She heard footfalls coming from above her, getting closer, closer... One, two, three, four people. A man, a woman, a metal humanoid, and... She sat down, turned around, and looked around the empty basement one last time, before turning to the person at the door...

"I'll join."

The game called Punklorde ended that day.

Codex Statistics

Grade: A

Tier: 4-B

Cardinality: Finite

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: Solar System level (Potency) (Silver Wolf's a member of the Stellaron Hunters that can fight comparable with Kafka. All party members are relative to The Trailblazer, even if they haven't been in main story missions, as their data versions can fight with them in the Simulated Universe, which is generated from The Trailblazer's memories pre-loading data versions of all the people they've met [10], where the bosses are stronger and more powerful in the Simulated Universe then the actual bosses they fought, making her comparable to The Trailblazer who fought and defeated Phantylia, who can casually "crush" one with the weight of a star, causing a massive explosion, along with greatly dwarfing the planet in size[11] and Dan Heng, who was noted in Part III of Himeko's character story that he defeated monsters that can swallow stars in just one strike of his lance[12])

Durability: Solar System level (Comparable to the Astral Express Crew, who can tank a star destruction at point-blank range[13], which takes these levels of energy). Her tampering with the data of reality makes her extremely hard to kill (Can edit attacks to do no damage to her[14])

Striking Strength: Unknown: True Class (Uses data summoned weapons for attacks)

Attack Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Comparable to Kafka, who in her ultimate views all of the bullets as stationary, reaching these speeds. Kafka can fight against The Trailblazer, who is comparable to Seele[16], who could cut a bullet right before it reached Bronya[17], reaching these speeds, and move faster then Bronya's gun[18]. Comparable to Fu Xuan, who viewed Kafka's bullets as moving so slow she can casually turn them around to hit each other reaching these speeds), likely Far Higher (Comparable to The Trailblazer, Can dodge iridescent beams from Mask of No Thoughts from a distance[19])

Reaction Speed: Massively Hypersonic, likely Far Higher

Stamina: Superhuman (Fought a large amount of anti matter legion soldiers without being tired[20])

Range: Standard Melee, Extended Melee with Data Weapon, Several Meters with Skill, Universal with Aether Catridge (Silver Wolf is able to tamper with the data of reality[21]. Silver Wolf uses an "Aether Catrdige", a chip that Punklordian hackers use to edit reality, the ways through which a hacker perceives and modifies the world are recorded on the chip)

Intelligence: Supergenius Intelligence (Silver Wolf views Herta creating item number 211, "Blind Spot", a simple light-deflecting field that allows an object in its field to pass unnoticed, as a very simple mechanic[22]. Noted that even the genius Herta can't compete with Silver Wolf when it comes to hacking[23], and her hacking battles with Screwllum of the Genius Society has become the stuff of legends, where members of the Genius Society view the Intelligentsia Guild as the "mediocre", not being considered amongst the cream of the crop[24]. Members of the Genius Society are sent a signal by the Aeon of Erudition, inviting geniuses to join in the search for answers to the universe, where Nous views mortals that have created a priceless asset of civilization with their diligence and wisdom as mere insignificant achievements not worthy of his glance, to truly join the genius society itself, one needs to acknowledge the conclusion that "the answer to the universe is beyond the limits of mortal wisdom"[25]. People not a part of the Genius Society have done things like recreate someone's memories an consciousness into an android that fully believed they were an actual person and that they were human, where even the most advanced diagnostic equipment couldn't detect the difference between her and a real person[26])

Knowledge: Grandmaster level

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Aura (All characters that use ultimates have a massive aura around themself), Time Paradox Immunity (Grandfather Paradox; All party members can take hits from "Past Confined and Caged", a being bound by Order and performing scenes of the "Past". All party members can take hits from "Tomorrow in Harmonious Chords", a being bound by Order and performing scenes of the "Future"[29], in which the Order directly interferes with beings and changes them, conducting hymns that can rehsape the world and create new laws[30]), Statistics Reduction (Breaking an enemy's weakness reduces their toughness to zero[31]), Restoration (Characters basic attacks recover skill stamina[32]), Observation (Unconscious Manifestation; In Honkai: Star Rail all of the world is born from mind and soul, with that power being memory[33], with the Garden of Recollection believing the world is defined by everyone's perception and memories are proof of the world's existence. The cognition from the fragments of the subconsciousness in the Memory Zone created various enemies imbued with a specific cogniton from the subconscious[34]), Immortality (Immortal Metaphysical Aspect; Characters in Star Rail can forgot their physical bodies, and still exist, this is mainly shown with Memokeepers that follow the Path of Rememberance, sacrificing their wordly bodies allow them to traverse the universe in the form of memes[35], with these memetic entities possessing no moral flesh, unconstrained by physical limits being made purley of ideas and memories[36], with memes themself being an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture. Noted by a Garden of Recollection Member that even if all matter is annihilated, it can continue to live on in the form of memories[37]. Reliance [On Memories]; To prevent oneself from being forgotten from the world, one makes the world remember them, if they are forgotten then they use their memories to re-create the world[38]), Non-Standard Interaction (Metaphysical Interaction; All characters are able to interact with Wubbaboos, a subspecies of Astral Spirits, that exist in the form of spiritual entites[39]. Conceptual Interaction; All characters are able to interact with memory bubbles bubbles made by the Garden of Recollection to preserve memories in a bubble to carry around, which are referred to as concepts by Memokeepers like Black Swan. Can fight enemies in the Forgotten Hall who are composed of memories[40]), Imaginary Energy Manipulation (All paths originate and are formed from imaginary elements with it being philisophical concepts and a metaphysical aggregation of spirit), Reality Warping (All paths originate and are formed from imaginary elements, where imaginary power allows one to twist reality at will[41]), Velocity Manipulation (All ultimates allows a character to attack even in the middle of an enemies turn[42], with it being directly noted that ultimates are not affected by Action Order[43]), Information Analysis (All playable characters can view an enemy's weakness type by approaching them[44]), Immortality Negation (Unknown Type) & Immutability Negation (All party members are able to permanently kill Mara-Struck Soldiers who are soldiers of the Xiahnzhou fallen to madness, having their bodies continually grow and mutate[45], with the Xianzhou being immortals where their body is stuck within a fixed state where even if they were born blind and find a way to cure themself, they will eventually revert back to being blind[46]. Along with this, immortality and resurrection is seen as a mere status effect within Honkai: Star Rail as characters like Pela can debuff the Mara-Struck Soldiers ability to revive themself making it where they die that the Mara-Struck does not heal them as opposed to the other soldier who wasn't debuffed).

Resistance to Ice Manipulation & Extreme Colds (All party members can interact with and take hits fom Frostspawn without freezing, where its data file notes that it is in the form of eerily low temperatures, freezing everything around it[47]. All party members can break out of being frozen), Fire Manipulation & Extreme Heats (All party members can interact with and take hits from the Flamespawn, not taking any burn status effect from it, where its data file notes that it is emitting intense heat, burning everything in its path[48]. All party members can fight within Sam's Secondary Combustion zone, which burns anyone trying to use a skill. All party members can interact with and take fire based hits from Blaze Out of Space, where it's armor is noted to burn with the burning flames in the core of stars[49], which is about 15 million degrees celcius[50], it is also noted in the data entry that it incinerates anything it touches[51]), Air Manipulation (All party members can interact with the Windspawn, not taking any wind shear status effect from it, where its data file notes that it is engulfed in twisting winds, raging on like a tornado[52]. Party members are able to take the effects of wind shear, with it eventually going away), Electricity Manipulation (All party members can interact with the Thunderspawn, not taking any shock status effect from it, where its data file notes its brimming with electricity, releasing thunderclaps in all directions[53]. Party members are able to take the effect of lightning damage, with it eventually going away), Status Effect Inducement (Party members are able to take the effect of bleed damage, with it eventually going away), Imaginary Energy Manipulation (All party members can break out of being imprisoned within imaginary energy), Quantum Manipulation (All party members can break out of quantum entanglement without any repercussions[54]), Poison Manipulation (Grade V and Above) & Corrosion Manipulation (All party members can take hits and interact with the Gnaw Sting, where it's noted in its enemy bio that its adept at using quantum toxins in their mandibles to corrode away the body of their prey[55]), Transmutation (All party members can take hits from the power of destruction, which can be used to transform one into a Voidranger), Radiation Manipulation (All party members can travel within Fragmentum infected areas, such as calyxes, which the Stellaron is noted to be a star which unleashes stellar radiation[56]), Antimatter Manipulation (All party members can take hits from antimatter legion members[57], who are made of antimatter[58]), Matter Manipulation (All party members are able to interact with strange matter[59], which is an object that changes any matter into strange matter through colliding with normal matter), Corrosion Manipulation & Corruption (All party members are able to fight fragmentum creatures[60], where the Fragmentum is a corrosive phenomenon that is quietly expanding[61]. The Fragmentum continues to corrode bodies even after death[62], ), Reality Warping (All party members can take hits from the Imaginary Weaver, where they use their imaginary power to twist reality at will[63]), Mind Manipulation, Metaphysical Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation & Information Manipulation (Total; All Party members are able to travel around in the Fragmentum and are unaffected by the Fragmentum corrosion, where the Stellaron and Fragmentum are the cause of relics a construct made from a data stream that are objects corroded by the Fragmentum whose data is saved and then reconstructed. All party members can take hits from different paths, where all paths originate and are formed from imaginary elements with it being philisophical concepts and a metaphysical aggregation of spirit, party members can also take hits from memory based beings along with chracters that can interact with memories, which are referred to as concepts by Memokeepers like Black Swan. All party members can take hits from Cocolia, Mother of Deception, where it's noted in her data entry that the she is a singer able to control Imaginary Energy[64]. Souls within the series are something carries information[65], along with being the data of one's consciousness, thus standard attacks to one's soul would not be enough to affect them), Law Manipulation (All party members can be hit by the hymns conducted without any adverse effects, where the conducting hymns can rehsape the world and create new laws[66])
All characters have Effect RES (Effect Resistance), which increases resistances, allowing them to resist things they normally cannot which includes: Resistance to Status Effect Inducement & Statistics Reduction (All characters have Effect RES (Effect Resistance), which increases resistances against incoming debuffs, allowing them to resist various status effects), Empathic Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, such as outrage, which causes one to lose all reason and attack aimlessly), Sleep Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, such as alien dream that puts a target to sleep), Domination (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, such as spirit whisper, that allows Kafka to dominate and control the target), Absorption (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, such as Black Prana's Snare, which siphons one's health, cutting it in half), Ice Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which include being frozen), Fire Manipulation ((As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which includes the burn status effect), Air Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which would include wind shear), Electricity Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which includes the shock status from lightning damage), Bleeding (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which would include bleed damage), Imaginary Energy Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which would include being imprisoned within imaginary energy), Quantum Manipulation (As all characters have effect resistance which allows them to resist debuffs, which would include being put in quantum entanglement[67])
Hacking (Silver Wolf is able to hack into Herta's surveillance systems[68], along with hacking into the security system protecting the Stellaron[69]. Reverse hacked Leonards device, sent out a bunch of spam, made a video game open to the space station and told everyone that Leonard made a mistake[70]), Information Analysis (Silver Wolf is able to analyze enemies[71]), Incorporeality (Silver Wolf comes from Punklorde, a planet made of data and symbols, the edges of reality and illusion are blurred in Punklorde[72]. Uploaded herself looking like a past image but instead but in reality was herself there[73]), Data Manipulation, Information Manipulation (Total), Conceptual Manipulation, & Reality Warping (Silver Wolf is able to tamper with the data of reality[74]. Silver Wolf uses an "Aether Catrdige", a chip that Punklordian hackers use to edit reality, the ways through which a hacker perceives and modifies the world are recorded on the chip[75]. Can edit attacks to do no damage to her[76]. Can edit reality to fully skip puzzles[77]), Weapon Creation (Can create a weapon through manipulating data[78], and can change its weapon type[79], that she uses in combat[80]), Teleportation (Silver Wolf is able to teleport around with various different hologram versions of herself[81]), BFR (Application Based; Able to send a Voidranger to some random coordinates in space through coding reality through tampering with the data of reality[82]. Silver Wolf's ultimate essentially "bans" a user from reality[83]), Sealing (Silver Wolf left behind emojis that that has Anti Matter Legion members within it when anyone tries to decode it, Leonard even notes it as the ability to stow enemies away[84]), Quantum Manipulation, Damage Boost & Status Effect Inducement (Silver Wolf uses the quantum element, which puts the target under quantum entanglement, delaying the enemy's action and dealing additional quantum damage to the affected enemy, along with this whenever the enemy is hit, the extra damage will increase[85]. With system warning, deals quantum damage), Energy Manipulation (Force Quit progam has her shoot out an energy beam), Resistance Manipulation (Weakness Inducement; With Allow Changes? implants a weakness on the target. With Force Quit Program, after entering battle, ignores weakness types and depletes the toughness of all enemies. A lesser hacker emulating Silver Wolf's metholodgy, caused a simulated calculation with hacking calling card that deals quantum damage to all enemies and depletes toughness regardless of weakness type[86]), Power Modification (A lesser hacker emulating Silver Wolf's metholodgy, created "level" graffitis, allowing them to change the strength levels of enemies to strength or weaken them[87]), Technology Manipulation (A lesser hacker emulating Silver Wolf's metholodgy, made it unable for a door to be activated normally without the graffiti being removed[88]), Statistics Boost (With User Banned, deals an additional 18% of Silver Wolf's attack as quantum damage to an enemy up to 5 times for each debuff inflicted on an enemy. A lesser hacker emulating Silver Wolf's metholodgy, created hacking calling cards that boost one's strength[89]), Statistics Reduction (With Force Quit Program, after entering battle, ignores weakness types and depletes the toughness of all enemies)
Statistics Boost (With "ATK Boost", attack increases[90]. With "Effect Hit Rate Boost", effect hit rate increases[91]. With DMG Boost: Quantum, quantum damage increases[92]), Status Effect Inducement (With Inject, the duration of the weakness implanted by Silver Wolf's skill increases[93]. With Generate, bug's duration is extended, every time an enemy is inflicted with weakness break, Silver Wolf can implant a random bug in an enemy[94]), Statistics Reduction (With "Side Note", when using skill, if there are 3 or more debuffs affecting the enemy the skill decreases the enemy's damage resistance[95])
Restoration (With "Social Engineering", after using her ultimate to attack enemies, Silver Wolf renegerates energy for every debuff the target enemy has[96]), Statistics Reduction (Passive; With "Zombie Network", when an enemy enters battle, reduces their effect resistance[97]), Statistics Boost (With "Payload", skill level and talent level increases[98]. With "Bounce Attack", after using her ultimate to attack enemies, deals additional quantum damage for ever debuff on the enemy[99]. With Brute Force Attack, ultimate level and basic attack level increases[100]. With "Overlay Network", for every debuff the enemy has, the damage dealt by Silver Wolf increases[101])

Boundless Choreo

''Their dance glides gracefully, shadows and light silently exchanging places. She takes the other person's hand, her smile beaming into those indifferent eyes.

"Beautiful Ranger... Welcome to the stage of the Remembrance. At this proximity... you are far more enchanting than one might perceive."

The surroundings darken, a beam of light cascading from the dome above, tracing their evolving steps. "However, some were meant to dance with us but have yet to arrive..."

In a spinning moment, she draws closer to that expressionless face, grips that cold hand, and softly inquires— "Tell me. What have you done?"

As their dance steps grow hurried more and more, fragmented snippets of the past rush into her mind through their joined fingertips. In a past that stretches back further and further, she hears the sound of rain and the lamentations just before life's extinguish. Then, she sees her dance partner holding a blood-red paper umbrella in the drizzling rain. Finally, as far as her eyes can see—

A field of drowned corpses bobbing in the deluge.

Panic-stricken, she tries to withdraw her hand, falling backward. The surroundings brighten again, the banquet's clamor resurfacing. Her dance partner gently supports her waist, as if oblivious to the ordeal that just unfolded. "What a lovely dance that was, Memokeeper. Shall we have another go?"''

This one's no exception. The sniper's scope slowly centers on a man throwing banknotes stack after stack, who seems completely oblivious to his impending demise. "So that's what greed looks like. That amount is equal to several of my contracts already... No wonder someone wants him dead."

As if these thoughts were broadcasted out loud, the man in the scope turns his head, looking straight into the eyes of the sniper. "I've been waiting for you. Would this much be enough for you to hear me out?"''

Other

Standard Tactics: Her tactics are akin to playing a video game, she will do whatever has her have the most fun, even if she can instantly end a match. She has shown in her trailer to casually edit attacks from hitting her and scan enemies.

Weaknesses: Aether editing is not capable of destroying an entire universe[104]. As Silver Wolf treats things as a game she will not go all out if it means that she won't have any fun.

Note: While the speed seems somewhat high, Kafka herself never directly uses her gun against the party members as a standard attack, she always uses it as a follow up attack even in her boss fight after inflicting the shock status effect on them.

Explanations

Paths

The paths that Star Rail characters have in game are not the actual paths they follow, there is an innate difference between using the abilities of a path and being a Pathriders of that path[105] being apart of different factions[106]. For example, March 7th is listed under the Path of Preservation[107], though she is apart of the Trailblaze path as a member of the Astral Express[108], one does not necessarily need to be in a path to us their abilities either, the Trailblazer while they were trying to protect March 7th from the Doomsday Beast, created a forcefield[109], despite using abilities from Destruction[110]. Thus the path one has in game mainly refers to their abilities and not the actual path they follow, this applies with Light Cones too.
