"Mature Content" | |
This character or verse has mature themes and concepts, thus those of young age are ill-advised to look through these. |
Background
Onigawara is a supporting character in the games Mad Father and Misao, which are both developed by Miscreant's Room. In Mad Father, he is known as the "weird salesman" Ogre and in Misao, as Mr. Onigawara, the head of the student council.
In the additional scene added to the gallery in version 2.00, Ogre waits for Robin in the cafeteria and has a conversation with him. The conversation reveals that Ogre was providing Robin, in addition to Aya, with some support throughout the events of the game; giving Robin medicine to heal him after he was attacked by Maria. The conversation reveals more explicitly that Ogre is not human, with his portrait changing to a more demonic visage at one point. Ogre also discusses his thoughts and motivations to some extent; he expresses his amusement with the events of the night, and comments on how "love" can drive people to become crazed and hurt one another, which he finds both foolish and pleasing. He claims that his only goal in everything that happened was to observe the actions of deranged humans, which he enjoys watching; but he decided to take a more active role in influencing these events because he was becoming bored with mere observation. He tells Robin that he enjoys virtuous humans like himself as well, because it is good people that allow the lunatics of the world to truly shine. Before disappearing, he tells Robin to continue standing against the madmen of the world, and that he'll be watching when the time comes.
Not much is known about Onigawara's past before the events of the game, since he is encountered only after the curse begins, which may say something about his true motives and nature, so it is up to the player to decide if Onigawara really was just a normal student council president or if he was something else. However, when the curse begins, Onigawara is the first person the player encounters after blacking out, their body somehow making its way to the Student Council Room. In an odd show of gallantry, it is obvious Onigawara had been watching over the player while they were unconscious and tells them that Misao's wrath had thrown them into another world inhabited by evil spirits that were raised by the curse.
When Library bursts in, Onigawara introduces the player to her before continuing on with his explanation: to release everyone back into their world, the player must vanquish the curse by saving Misao's soul. After that, the player is left to their own devices, and they can fast-travel back to the Student Council Room when in need of Onigawara's advice.
If the player finds all the Dismembered Parts, places them on the altar, and tries to end the curse, Aki will state that it's not working. To get a clearer picture, the player may go see either Onigawara or Library and they will say that the job is not yet done. The four gray tombstones next to the temple represent sacrifices and that, as the game progressed, 3 out of the 4 tombstones should have turned red as each sacrifice died.
With Yoshino, Saotome, and Kudoh all dead, there is but one more sacrifice needed to save Misao's soul. There are two paths with which the player may take: kill Tohma or kill Mr. Sohta as the final sacrifice.
If the player sacrificed Mr. Sohta instead of Tohma, Aki returns to the Student Council Room to give her thanks to Onigawara, but finds the real Student Council President instead and that there is no one by the name of Onigawara in the student council at all.
And though not explicitly mentioned, it would be safe to assume that Library is gone, too, considering how close she was to Onigawara.
He returns in Truth asking Aki to liberate the souls of the people killed by Misao. He returns mid-way to give Aki a mirror to show to Misao revealing how she really looks. Afterwards he is seen in the credits resurrecting Ayaka and Tohma to have them watch over the reincarnated souls of Kudoh, Yoshino, and Satome.
General Information

Codex Statistics
Tier: At least 10-B
Cardinality: Finite

Striking Strength: At least Average Human Class
Lifting Strength: At least Average Human Class
Travel Speed: Regular Human
Attack Speed: Regular Human
Reaction Speed: Regular Human
Stamina: Unknown
Range: Standard Melee, Multi-Universal with abilities (Sent Aki to Other World, took Tohma out of the void))
Intelligence: Gifted Intelligence (Views people like Alfred Drevis as interesting fools, a knowledgeable salesman who is instantly able to tell when a curse has occurred in an area)
Powers and Techniques
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Timeless Physiology (Exists and moves in the dark space, with the others who were erased outside of time and existence), Teleportation (Constantly teleports around while speaking with people), Telepathy (Telepathically spoke with Aki), Resurrection (Resurrected Ayaka), Battlefield Removal (Sent Aki to Other World, took Tohma out of the void), Non-Standard Interaction (Spirit Interaction; Can free spirits), Sealing & Power Nullification (Via the Magic Water, can seal the power of the curse), Erasure (Metaphysical Erasure) & Soul Manipulation ( Via the Magic Water, caused Monika Drevis to fade), Healing (With Ogre's medicine), Breaking the Fourth Wall (Talks with the player about the extra "Truth" scenario in Misao), possible Age Manipulation (As Onigawara looks younger then Ogre it is likely he made himself look younger to meet the look of a student council president).
Resistance to Memory Manipulation (Still remembered the people who died in the Other World, who were erased from time itself removing their existence)
Equipment
Various Equipment as a salesman
Other
Standard Tactics: Onigawara enlists others for jobs so it is unknown what he does by himself, making him a wild card.
Weaknesses: Nothing notable.
Note: Onigawara and Ogre are very much likely the same person, for one, they have extremely similar mannerisms with how they speak, along with looking very indentical. It is also of note that Alfred Drevis is present in other world's school, appearing in the labatory. This is important because at the ending of Mad Father Ogre takes Alfred under his wing to where "he may research to his heart's content". Finally the secret post-credit ending of the game shows him with Alfred in a similar looking area to Misao. Thus, it's safe to assume both Onigawara and Ogre are the same person without a direct statement.
