Hey! You have wreaked havoc on the ship! Geryuganshoop, the universe's strongest telekinetic... ...Will smash you to bits!

Background

Geryuganshoop was an alien, a general of the Dark Matter Thieves, and the right-hand man of Boros. It was killed by Saitama.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Geryuganshoop’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Geryuganshoop is first seen monitoring the damage done to the ship. After Boros approaches it, inquiring what is happening on the ship, it explains the situation and is ordered to send Groribas after Saitama. However; it then tells its lord that Groribas had already been killed and that Melzargard was tied up on the ground.

Geryuganshoop contacts Melzargard with the orders to return to the ship and attack the intruder. However, Melzargard is occupied in battle and requests support fire from the ship. It contacts the gunner afterward, while also telepathically contacting Saitama, warning him not to go further into the ship. Saitama blatantly disregards the order and does the opposite, charging into Boros' throne room.

Geryuganshoop attacks Saitama from behind with a barrage of rubble from the destroyed door, claiming that as the top telekinetic in the universe, no one can survive its attacks. It sends a large amount of rubble at Saitama, believing itself to have won, but is surprised to see Saitama standing unharmed. Saitama remarks that throwing rocks around with telekinesis is a waste of superpowers since anyone can do it. He then demonstrates by throwing a small rock at Geryuganshoop's head, splitting it in half.

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Genius Intelligence, Large Size (Supersized; Geryuganshoop is 6.8 meters in height[32]), Telepathy (Can telepathyically contact enemies and allies alike[33]), Telekinesis & Physics Manipulation (Geryuganshoop's ability to control flying objects are above even that of Tatsumaki's as he can eliminate the friction between the rock and air allowing him to have objects fly at near-light speeds[34]), Gravity Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, & Black Hole Creation (Can manipulate the forces of gravity to create gravity so intense it is equivalent to that of a[35] Black Hole)

All beings in One-Punch Man have a Limiter which through trying to break it[36], starts granting them the following abilities:

Indomitable Will (One that breaks their limiter need to have extreme will to continue[37]), Pain Tolerance (As they constantly need to put constant pressure on both their body and mind[38]), Accelerated Development (Passive, Physical Stats & Abilities; Limiter Removal, allows for endless growth as there is no intrinsic limit placed on people[39]), Adaptation (Garou has shown to increase himself to blitzing and overpowering Darkshine, who previously managed to break his entire ribcage, by breaking his limiter[40]), Supernatural Resilience (Characters like Garou were able to survive being ripped apart and a hole in his chest[41]), Resurrection (To experience explosive growth, one must be on the brink of death and die than resurrect[42]).

Equipment

Nothing notable.

Notable Techniques

Psychokinesis

Geryuganshoop possessed the ability to levitate and hurl objects with his mind. It was an immensely powerful psychic with a very high psychic output. Geryuganshoop was able to eliminate the friction between objects and air, a feat of skill above the level of even Tatsumaki. As a result, the rocks launched by Geryuganshoop would fly at sub-light speed without being evaporated.

Telepathy

Using telepathy to speak directly in one's mind, he warns enemies and gives commands to combatants.

Telekinetic Shower of Rubble

Blowing up a lot of surrounding debris and stones, he attacks the enemy at super-high speed with perfect aim. The swiling gale is just like a turbulent airflow.

Telekinetic Gravitational Wave

Geryuganshoop can control even the forces of gravity, increasing in to have the same feeling of being within a black hole. This power instantly crushed even his allies around him.

Other

Standard Tactics: Gerygunashoop will use telepathy to warn the enemy to stay away, if they do not comply he will use his gravitational wave along with telekinetic shower of rubble.

Weaknesses: Nothing notable.

Trivia

  • Murata stated on a stream that he isn't sure if Geryuganshoop can create black holes as it seems too powerful. He won't know for sure without asking ONE. Though it should be within his capabilities as the anime gave him the ability to increase the forces of gravity to the point of a black hole.
  • Murata stated that Geryuganshoop's ability to control flying objects should be above Tatsumaki, because it can eliminate the friction between rocks and air. If Tatsumaki throws rocks as it does, her output would be too powerful, the temperature would increase due to friction and pressure, and would evaporate the rocks in an instant. Geryuganshoop's psychokinesis can eliminate the friction between objects and air so that the rocks can fly at sub-light speed. Tatsumaki can throw very large objects, but there's a limit to how fast she can throw them. In Saitama's eyes, however, rocks at sub-light speed are nothing, it's like a bad joke.
    • Though it should be noted what Murata specifically means here is that Geryuganshoop's ability to control objects is better as his objects will never burn up, this is not him stating that Gerygunashoop is stronger then Tatsumaki, this further cannot be possible since Tatsumaki is stronger then Psykos fused with Orochi where Gerygunashoop, Melzargard, and Groribas all teaming up with preparation have almost no chance of defeating Orochi by himself.
  • Murata has stated that if Melzargard, Groribas, and Geryuganshoop work together to fight against Orochi, even with preparation, they have almost no chance of winning.

  16. Q: Murata sensei, here's a question from overseas, can Geryuganshoop actually create black holes by manipulating gravity? It seems like they care about this a lot.
A: hm~, I'm not sure. Black holes seem too powerful. I won't know for sure without asking ONE. But his ability to control flying objects should be above Tatsumaki, because he can eliminate the friction between rocks and air. If Tatsumaki throws rocks like he does, her output will be too powerful, the temperature increase due to friction and pressure, and evaporate the rocks in an instant. Geryuganshoop's psychokinesis can eliminate the friction between objects and air, the rocks will fly at sub-light speed*, that's the setting I based my drawing on. Tatsumaki can throw very large objects, but there's a limit to how fast she can throw them. Geryuganshoop is the greatest psychic in the universe after all. That's what I think. (he repeats this several times)
Murata: Saitama still beat him with a casual stone throw though. In Saitama's eyes rocks at sub-light speed is nothing, it's like a bad joke.
T/N: The Japanese used here is 亜光速, can mean sub-light or near lightspeed. Murata says Geryuganshoop being the greatest psychic in the universe in a joking manner.
