Background
Icarus is the main protagonist of Glory of Heracles. A silent, seemingly emotionless boy, Icarus travels across Greece in order to discover who he really is, and why he was cursed with immortality. With his backstory entirely unknown, and several characters confusing Icarus for the mighty Heracles, Icarus hopes to find answers on Mount Olympus. However, this journey draws him into a much larger conflict for the sake of the planet.
This dropdown contains the synopsis of Icarus’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise! |

Icarus was once the young, kind-hearted son of the master craftsman, Daedalus. Much to Icarus's distaste, his father was incredibly distant, due to being constantly enraptured in his inventions. Icarus's mother also left him at a young age, having grown incredibly sick and passing away. Icarus only had one friend, in the form of a young woman who had grown romantically interested in him. Still, he longed to be free of the world, and fly away like a bird. One fateful day, Daedalus's masterful inventions led to him creating a pair of wings useable by humans, made entirely of wood and held together by wax. Although Daedalus warned Icarus to never fly the wings too close to the sun, Icarus could not help himself from following his dream, and lept from the tallest cliff he could find. Unfortunately, the heat of the sun melted the wax of the wings, causing for them to break and sending Icarus to his death. Incredibly depressed and feeling guilty due to his son's death, Daedalus frantically tried to find ways to bring him back. Eventually, he was able to create an incredible soul-infusing machine known as the Crasis, which he planned on using to infuse Icarus's soul back within his own body. In order to do this, he enlisted the help of Heracles, who had recently lost his younger brother, Iphicles, and was also desparate to revive him. Heracles was placed on the Crasis in order to test the machine, when something went wrong and caused a massive fracture in Heracles's soul. The soul of Heracles would be split four separate ways; one quarter remained in Heracles, one quarter went into Daedalus, one quarter went into Iphicles, and the final quarter of Heracles's soul joined with Icarus's soul in the body of a marionette. All four entities that remained, were considered the Proof of the Soul of Heracles, and each four equally believed they were Heracles. The Gods soon revolted at this act and erased their memories. The next thing the marionette knew, it was washed up on a shore of Greece and found by a young woman named Leucos. Together, Leucos and the marionette (currently being referred to as Heracles) decided to team up and travel to Mount Olympus together. Eventually, once the marionette's party formed, he gave himself a name of his own, which coincidentally happened to be the exact same name as the soul that resided within him; Icarus. Once the other three Proofs of the Soul were found, the quarters of Heracles's soul left them and were given back to the original Heracles. This left Icarus as a body with only one soul left, the soul of Icarus. Although Daedalus never truly recognized this Icarus as his real son, he still realized that Icarus's soul residing within a marionette was still Icarus all the same. In one final act of fatherly love, Daedalus sacrificed his own live in order to save Icarus, which led to Icarus and his party being able to save the world from the wrath of Typhon. |

Origin: Glory of Heracles
Sex: Male
Age: Unknown, physically a teenager
Classification: Immortal, Marionette
Alignment: Neutral Good (Icarus is kind-hearted and fights to protect others, although his silent nature does make his intentions unclear. He does seem to be fueled by his selfish desire to find out who he is, though he will freely drop that quest if people around him require his help. Icarus seems more concerned about preserving peace and helping others, than anything else)
Dimensionality: 3-D
Attack Potency: At least Town level (Comparable to his durability), likely Small Planet level (Contains a quarter of Heracles's soul, who at his full power defeated Typhon; a quarter of planet-destroying power would yield this level. Scales to Axios, who contains a third of Oceanus's soul, who at its full power could defeat Typhon; a third of planet-destroying power would yield this level) | Planet level (Defeated Typhon, whose appearance threatened the existence of the entire Earth, according to Cassandra the Prophet, whose prophecies are always true), Multi Supercluster level with Uranus's Sword (Wields Uranus's Sword, which was believed to have created the star-flecked skies; according to Greek mythos, this would contain the entire firmament, which is the universe. Several boss encounters take place within a universe as expansive as our own, including the final boss, which Uranus's Sword would have created, which should be comparable to this levels of energy)
Durability: At least Town level (Comparable to Eris, who survived the destruction of Corinth at point blank range), likely Small Planet level | Planet level, Multi Supercluster level with Uranus's Sword (Wielding weapons increases the durability stat accordingly)

Lifting Strength: Unknown
Travel Speed: Peak Human (Can outrun Spartan soldiers) | Peak Human, likely Massively Hypersonic with Hermes's Wings (Gains Hermes's speed, which should be superior to Apollo, who is believed to be the sun streaking across the sky. The Earth orbits the sun at 67,000 mph)
Combat Speed: Massively Hypersonic | Faster Than Light
Reaction Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Can dodge lightning strikes such as Fulg) | Faster Than Light (Scales to the Sphinx, who can naturally produce light with Flash, and Medusa, who could naturally produce light with Ogress's Gaze. Can conjure and perceive Megalo, which produces a large beam of light)
Stamina: Peak Human (Was able to travel all across Greece, exploring several dungeons and defeating countless monsters, all while on very limited sleep. Sleep is only required in order to recover magic usage, although Icarus can very easily maintain his ability to physically fight for several days)
Range: Standard Melee, Extended Melee with swords, Hundreds of Meters with magic spells, Multi Supercluster with Uranus's Sword
Intelligence: Genius in combat (Despite having amnesia, he could wield a sword proficiently upon first getting it. As soon as he is granted magic spells from the gods he can use them perfectly), Supergenius with Uranus's Helm (Grants the knowledge of the god, Uranus, who has been alive for at least a million years. Furthermore, Uranus is cited to have created the cosmos, granting Icarus cosmic knowledge)
