Physical Appearance
Circus
Baby is a female animatronic with an overall appearance reminiscent of a clown. She has auburn hair in high pigtails on either side of her head, held in place by blue hair elastics. She has bright green eyes, long, blue eyelashes, and short, blue eyebrows. The sides of her eyes are also covered in blue. Her mouth is opened in a wide smile, revealing small, flat endoskeleton teeth, framed by thin, red lips. Her cheeks are large, round, and red, and her squarish nose is red and slightly upturned and pointed. Her midsection is exposed, revealing a metal fan surrounded by an orange triangle with rounded points. Her limbs have silver segments in rectangular shapes, and her hands have red palms. The tips of her fingers, which appear to be ball-jointed, are not sealed, revealing shiny silver underneath, similar to the springlock suits. Her knees have round, shiny, silver caps, and parts of her limbs have what appear to be blue pins sticking out of them. She wears a red crop top with frills on the shoulders, and a matching, frilly, red skirt (which was changed in design for Special Delivery). The toes of her matching red shoes are pointed and curled, white on the bottom, and topped off with shiny, gold orbs (possibly bells); these are the shoes worn by a jester. Under her skirt, she wears red and orange striped panties; this can only be seen through the error of one of her images in the game file. She holds an orange microphone with red accents in her left hand.
Like all the animatronics in game, her body is made of segmented plates, which can move freely or in unison, with a few exceptions; some plates are static and "float". The only known plates that can move are her face and left arm.
In Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, Baby's design remains nearly identical, and is mostly unchanged.
In Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, Baby's design remains the same as her original, however for realism purposes, her design receives specular refection. Also, her skirt receives a redesign.
Scrap
As Scrap Baby, she bears an entirely new design as the result of haphazardly reassembling herself after events that occurred between games. She retains her hair and curvy pigtails, but they consist of realistic, multi-colored strands of wires that look like hair. On top of her head is a strange, metallic object similar to a bow, possibly as a reference to her human life as Elizabeth. Parts of her face and lips are losing their color, turning into a light blue. The bottom part of her mouth is split to form a jaw, which doesn't seem to move in-game. Her most distinctive feature is a giant claw that replaces her right hand, which came from her stomach and was used to kill children. It is linked from several wires and has two "rows" of teeth. The rest of her deteriorating body reveals a unique endoskeleton. Her chest has two dead lights that are similar to the lights from the Circus Control room from the previous game, one overlapping while the other hiding behind. Her arms and legs aren't completely a white color, rather than mixtures of red and orange, as if it was clothing. Rather than Circus Baby's jester shoes, Scrap Baby has mechanical roller skates. Most of these features are not entirely revealed and are only seen in special events.
Personality
Circus Baby is a tragic, sophisticated yet sinister animatronic. The Circus Baby minigame shows that Baby killed William Afton's daughter, Elizabeth, due to Baby and the other Funtime animatronics being built to murder children.
Baby mainly speaks in a soft, calm voice that almost never raises above a sort of hushed tone. She speaks about children in a very happy manner and claims to have enjoyed entertaining them and making them happy, but she seems to be very distraught, confused, and sorrowful due to her situation and hates being trapped in the rental facility and is even deeply traumatized and haunted by her mysterious and dark past. She also often talks about childish things that have little bearings on the current situation like ice cream, birthday cakes, playing pretend and other children, showing that she maintains her childlike mentality that she had as a human; this is especially seen during Night 4 where she compares the scooper to an actual ice cream scooper used at birthday parties.
However Baby is soon revealed to be just like her twisted “father” William. She is manipulative and cunning as she masterminded almost all the events in Sister Location and even acts theatrical as she says one of her tactics is playing pretend and acting to get what she wants and manipulate people. She was also shown to be very abusive towards her only friends as it’s implied she either manipulative or outright forced the other animatronics to take part in her diabolical plan to fuse their parts to become animatronic amalgamation and hive mind mind known as Ennard to escape the facility. Even after accomplishing her goals she was still shown to be a control freak as while being apart of Ennard she seemingly forced the other animatronics inside the amalgam to accept her as the leader and unfairly control them which ultimately led to them betraying her and ejecting her from Ennard.
It's implied that the reason for Baby’s twisted and controlling behavior is because of the time she spent in the underground facility being isolated and tortured may have drove Baby to the point of insanity and caused her to be emotionally and mentally unstable, although it is hinted she only fully shows this side of herself and raises her voice whenever pushed over the edge.
Baby was also shown to be extremely resilient as even after being ejected from Ennard she was able to rebuild herself out of mere pieces of scrap. Unfortunately her mental state worsened as she is more violent, sadistic and aggressive, accepting her role as a killer, and shows glee and excitement at the prospect of murdering children and doing what she was created to do.
Despite Baby’s insanity there are a few people she truly cared about, the first being her “brother” Michael Afton although she was mainly manipulating him throughout the game. Her dialogue toward him sounded surprisingly sincere and it’s implied that she truly cared about Michael’s well-being as demonstrated during Night 3, when she rescued him off-screen from Funtime Foxy, albeit in a unethical and odd manner by kidnapping him. Ultimately, when it was time for her plan to reach its final stage, she attempted to comfort Michael before she was forced to kill him with the scooper, reassuring him and saying that "it would only hurt for a moment". Afterwards, when using Michael's skin as a suit to hide and blend in with, when Michael’s corpse ultimately decayed and she was forced to abandon it, Baby reassuringly said "You won't die." It’s possible she knew he would survive all along and never wanted to truly kill Michael, although her views towards her brother changed in Pizzeria Simulator as she actively tried to murder him.
She also seems to have a deep admiration and love for her father and creator William, as she vowed to follow in his footsteps and make him proud, and even affectionately calling him “Daddy”.
