Background

Grandmaster Meio is an otherworldly, alien entity shrouded in darkness and mystery. Shortly after Strider Hiryu’s defeat of the devious ZAIN Project, Grandmaster Meio finally made his arrival on Earth. Arriving to the world being engulfed in war, Grandmaster Meio decided that it would not be difficult to take advantage of the war’s climate.

Beginning from the Kazakh Federation, Grandmaster Meio started to slowly use the tense atmosphere caused by the war to snake his way into the heads of people and start to view him as a saviour god. In only 5 years time, Grandmaster Meio’s influence spread throughout the world, and he was given total domination over the Earth.

Soon, Meio took complete control over the scientific fields of the world, and discovered the secret to the creation of life. Deciding he wanted to rule over a world of his own design, Grandmaster Meio fashioned a large space station known as the Third Moon. With this, Meio would wipe out all life on Earth, and rebirth it with him as the god.

However, although Grandmaster Meio seemed to have complete dominion over all things and his plan was basically inevitable, he met resistance in the form of a Strider named Hiryu. Making his way through the Third Moon, Hiryu destroyed it and successfully struck Grandmaster Meio down.

Defeated, Grandmaster Meio was sealed away in a burial chamber beneath El Dorado. He wasn’t seen again until two thousand years later, when a fallen Strider known as Hien released him from his confinement. Free once more, and bitter from his previous defeat, Grandmaster Meio shifted his plans.

Taking control over the planet once more, Meio reconstructed the Third Moon. This time, he planned on destroying the entire world, and using a lifeform known as the Caduceus he would take he and his artificial lifeforms to another planet across the galaxy. Once more, the Strider Hiryu intervened.

Baffled that Hiryu appeared to him two thousand years after their previous duel, Grandmaster Meio could only manage to ask if he was the same Hiryu that he knew. Without a word, the Strider struck him down, marking the final end of the Grandmaster’s reign.
