~ Brendan |
Background
Brendan is a young boy who was moved alongside his parents from their hometown in the Johto region, all the way to Littleroot Town in the Hoenn region. This was because Brendan’s father, Norman, had gotten himself a position as a Gym Leader in the Hoenn region, and wanted to move to it.
As Brendan moved into his house, he found that he was neighbours with the famous Pokémon professor, Professor Birch. Saving Professor Birch from an attacking Pokémon, Brendan was given a Pokémon of his very own as a result; of which he chose Treecko.
Now equipped with a partner Pokémon, Brendan made a quick rival in Professor Birch’s daughter, May, and the two soon headed out to take on Hoenn’s Gym Challenge. Brendan travelled the entire Hoenn region, knocking Gyms out left to right; including defeating his father, Norman.
During this quest, however, Brendan was caught up in a plot by the rival eco-terrorist groups, Team Aqua and Team Magma, who wanted to increase sea level and increase landmass respectively. To do this, the teams sought out the Legendary Pokémon, Kyogre and Groudon.
Brendan was able to topple both teams, and stop both Legendary Pokémon, before finishing off his Gym Challenge. Brendan then went and challenged the Elite Four, defeating the Champion Steven Stone, and claiming the title for himself. His further whereabouts are unknown.
