Everybody just shut up! I have had it, that's it! There is a limit to how much I can take! Look around you Tiff, this is nuts. And I have a very high tolerance for nuts. If this is what it takes to be human, then I would rather take my chances as a supernaturally possessed doll, it's less complicated. As a doll, I'm fucking infamous! I'm one of the most notorious slashers in history! And I don't wanna give that up. I am Chucky, the killer doll! And I dig it!

You know what, Jake? Once I hack you into pieces, the world's gonna forget all about you. Eventually, they're gonna forget the names of everybody who died here tonight. All they'll remember is the number of people I killed. My body count. And they'll remember my name. And from now on, when they think of Hackensack, they won't think about families, they won't think about kids growing up to be doctors or CEOs or Instagram influencers. They won't think about pathetic losers like you, Jake. They'll think of Hackensack as ground zero for the army of me that invaded America.

Correction, soldier. It's already over. Arsenic, special family recipe. Mind over muscle everytime. General George S. Patton said, "It is foolish to mourn those who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men existed." So thank you God, because this is the fucking funniest thing I've seen all year.

Background

Chucky is a killer Good Guy doll, that had his soul transferred into the doll by using voodoo. Despite his small size, Chucky has the strength of a full grown man.

This dropdown contains the synopsis of Chucky’s story. Read at your own risk as you may be spoiled otherwise!

Child's Play (1988)

Chased and engaged in a shoot-out with detective Mike Norris, Charles is shot in his leg. His accomplice Eddie Caputo abandons him in their getaway van when Jack Santos approaches in his police car. With nowhere left to run, Charles hides in a nearby toy store but is fatally shot by Mike. Knowing he will die soon, he plans on using the soul transferring technique he was taught by his voodoo instructor John. However, he cannot find another person nearby to switch souls with, and in desperation decides to use a Good Guy doll. He swears to Mike that he would come back for him, before using his amulet, the Heart of Damballa, to transfer his soul into the doll. The store is then struck by lightning, and Mike finds Charles dead.

Bride of Chucky (1998)

With the fingerprints of Charles found on a cigarette lighter at a recent murder scene, the police plan to excavate his corpse to find out what is going on. Before the police go through with and open his coffin, Chucky arrives with Jade to retrieve the Heart of Damballa from around his skeleton's neck.

Curse of Chucky (2013)

Before the events of the first film, Charles had a double life as a serial killer and a regular civilian. While at a neighbourhood barbeque, a mutual friend of his introduces him to a woman named Sarah and her family. He looks down at a young Barb, and remarks that she has her mother's eyes. Over time Charles becomes increasingly obsessed with Sarah, and about taking her husband Daniel's place.

Intending not to let Sarah go, Charles drives up to Daniel one night and offers him a ride home. Sometime during this ride Charles manages to subdue and drown him. He attends Daniel's funeral, and proceeds to kidnap Sarah shortly after. He ties her up inside his safe house, while his accomplice Eddie waits outside in their getaway van. Bringing her sunflowers, he tells her he is going to pick up Barb from daycare. Sarah attempts to get him to stay, telling him she wants to spend more time with him alone. He retorts that that's a "selfish fucking attitude for a mother to take", and asks if she doesn't want to share him with Barb. When she shakes her head no, he asks if she is going to keep him from the new baby too, as that would be very hurtful to him. Suddenly much to Charles' surprise, the police quickly have his safe house surrounded. Feeling betrayed about Sarah destroying their "family", Charles stabs her in the stomach hitting the baby inside. Charles then leaves the house intending to reach Eddie, but instead his partner drives away before he can reach him. He is then pursued by Detective Norris.

Chucky (2021)

Charles' past is slowly revealed through a series of flashbacks. The first flashback is in 1965 when Charles is 7-years-old, after he returns home from trick-or-treating during Halloween. He decides to pick up an apple that he received, and notices a razor blade stuck inside of it. He bites into it regardless, and smiles after the razor blade cut into his mouth causing it to bleed.

The second flashback is as Chucky is reminiscing about his first kill. During his birthday party, he uses a mallet to knock the piñata to the ground, but continues to aggressively smash it even after it has fallen. He overhears the news of a serial killer on the loose on the radio, and delights in plunging a knife into his birthday cake. Later that night, Charles wakes from his sleep to discover the serial killer has broken into his house and is stabbing his father Peter to death. His mother Elizabeth takes him and the two hide in a closet, but Charles manages to grab his pocketknife before they hide. The killer soon finds their hiding place, but when he opens the closet, he finds that Charles already stabbed his mother to death, claiming to have "helped". Impressed by the boy's actions, the killer gives him advice that he should always cover his tracks, and wipes the blood off his pocketknife before handing it back to him.

The third flashback is in 1972, where a now 14-year-old Charles is staying at the Burlington County Home for Wayward Boys in South Jersey. He attempts to mold three boys into following his killer footsteps, teaching them swear words and reading them fairy tales twisted to revolve around murder. One day while running through the house, the janitor becomes angry with him for messing up his clean floor with dirty sneakers, and proceeds to wet his only pair of shoes with the filthy mop. This displeases Charles, who murders the janitor with his pocketknife and dumps his body in the forest. A few days later, he takes his group of three boys on a Peter Pan-esque adventure to get Captain Hook. He leads them through the forest and to the corpse of the janitor. Charles claims that the janitor is Captain Hook, as he cut off the janitor's hand and shoved a hook into the bloody stump. Two of the boys run away screaming, but one stays with Charles, a boy named Eddie Caputo. That night, the police arrive at the Burlington Home to investigate the janitor's death. Before leaving and going on the run, Charles says goodbye to Eddie and gifts him the janitor's severed hand.

The fourth flashback is set in 1986, where Charles is seen hanging out at a nightclub. He approaches a woman named Delilah, and they then pick up another red-headed woman before leaving to the Hackensack Hotel. He watches the two women kiss on the bed before grabbing the red-headed woman by the neck and holding a knife to her head. Smiling, she tells him to do it, but he hesitates and instead stabs Delilah in the stomach. He hands the knife to the other woman, allowing her to finish the job and kill Delilah. Exhilarated by the kill, they jump on the bed and start making out. She tells him her name is Tiffany, and remarks that he should go by "Chucky".

The fifth flashback is in 1987, where Charles and Tiffany are looking to purchase a Pontiac car. While talking to the car salesman, Charles argues that the car he's selling isn't vintage or an antique, it's just old like him. He tells the man not to worry as they're going to give him another paint job too, just as Tiffany sneaks up behind him and slits his throat with her nail file. Taking the keys from the man, the two get into the car. Charles reads a book on voodoo as Tiffany drives out of Hackensack and to Chicago.

The final flashback is set in 1988, after Charles and Tiffany have moved into an apartment in Chicago. They order a pizza and kill the delivery man, leaving his body in their bathroom while they fool around in the living room. Sometime later, Tiffany arrives back to the apartment to find Charles killing a woman without her. She becomes upset as "killing is an 'us' thing", which Charles brushes off claiming he has a life outside of her. Tired of listening to Tiffany's whining, he puts on his coat and storms out of the apartment. Unbeknownst to him, she then calls Mike Norris with information about Charles after he leaves.

Child's Play (1988)

On November 9th, 1988, Charles Lee Ray is chased down after a failed robbery, by detective Mike Norris. After he is fatally shot, his partner in crime Eddie decides to bail and drives away in the get-away van, despite Charles' pleas. Stumbling into a toy store, Charles desperately uses his voodoo amulet, the Heart of Damballa, to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll. The chant causes lightning to burst through the store skylight and cause an explosion. Although Norris finds Charles' dead body, his soul successfully transferred into the doll, which is found by a peddler.

The next morning, Chucky is bought by a woman named Karen, as a last-minute birthday gift for her son Andy. As Karen has to work, her friend babysits Maggie babysits Andy that night. Everything seems normal until Andy is told to get ready for bed. He tells her that Chucky wants to stay up and watch the news. Believing that he is playing, she sends him off to go brush his teeth, only to find that Chucky is on the couch with the TV turned on. Maggie scolds him, but he denies doing anything; she simply tucks him in and goes back to the living room. Chucky slips out of Andy's bedroom, and begins to scare Maggie. He knocks over a bowl of sugar to get her into the kitchen. When she goes to clean it up, he grabs a hammer and hits her, causing her to fall out of the window to the ground below.

Detective Norris and his partner Jack are called in to investigate the death, and to question Andy. Norris suspects Andy may have something to do with it, as Andy's sneakers are the closest match to the footprints in the sugar. Karen comes home as they are talking with Andy, and angrily makes them leave. Once the police are gone, she goes to check on her son, and sees him talking to his Good Guy doll. At first it seems innocent, but Andy adds that Chucky said, "Aunt Maggie was a real bitch and got what she deserved".

Karen sends Andy off to school the next day, but along the way Chucky gets Andy to take him to Eddie's hide out. As Andy goes off to use the bathroom, Chucky blows out the pilot light on the stove, and turns up the gas. Eddie hears his stove door open, and takes his gun to check it out. He fires wildly at the noise, causing his house to explode. The detectives are called in again, and find Andy at the scene. Suspicious, they call in Dr. Ardmore to monitor while they interview him. When Jack asks why Maggie fell, Andy says that she saw Chucky, and it scared her so much she fell down. Karen explains to him that no one believes his story, and if he does not tell the truth, the police will take him away from her. Scared, Andy confronts Chucky, begging him to say something. As he just repeats his doll lines, he runs to his mother, telling her Chucky is doing it on purpose, and would kill him if he ever told anyone about him. From behind the glass, Ardmore announces his presence, suggesting Andy stay a few days at the hospital.

With Andy sent to the hospital, Karen takes Chucky back to her apartment. She notices that the doll has been running without batteries, cautiously checks the doll's back. Chucky's head sharply turns backwards as she looks, making her drop the doll. Scared, she pulls the doll out from under the couch, and continues to try and make the doll talk. Chucky then attacks her, and she tosses him to other side of the room, allowing him to escape. As Karen gets detective Norris in to help her find out about the doll, Chucky follows and sneaks into Norris' car. While Norris is driving back home, Chucky tries to strangle him. Mike gets him off temporarily by burning his cheek with a cigarette lighter plug, but Chucky continuously tries to stab him from behind his seat. Unable to drive while being attacked, the car goes out of control and flips over. He continues to try and stab him, but Mike shoots him.

As he thought that as a doll he was invincible, he is shocked to see that the bullet hurt him, and runs off. Needing answers, he locates his voodoo instructor, John Bishop. He explains that Chucky must transfer his soul back into a human, but it must be the first person he revealed himself to: Andy. However, he refuses to help Chucky, and attempts to call the police. Before he can, Chucky pulls out a voodoo doll, which is connected to John. He stabs the doll, and leaves John to die.

Chucky sneaks into the hospital to Andy's room. He manages to break into Andy's room, but by that time Andy had escaped. Andy finds his way downstairs into the operating room, as Chucky follows him. He manages to knock Andy to the ground, but hides when Dr. Ardmore comes into the room. Ardmore puts Andy on the bed, and tries to sedate him. While they struggle, Chucky grabs a scalpel and stabs Ardmore in the back of the leg. Once on the ground, he puts an electric shock helmet on him, and shocks the doctor to death. During this time Andy runs back to his apartment, but Chucky is right on his trail. Once the two reach the apartment, he knocks Andy unconscious with a baseball bat and begins the ritual. However, before he finishes, Mike Norris and Karen enter. He stabs Mike in the leg, and then knocks him unconscious with the bat. Before he hits him again, Karen shoots him, redirecting his attacks. Karen throws him into the fireplace, and despite Chucky's pleas, Andy lights a match and ignites the fireplace.

Karen sends Andy to get a first aid kit, but Andy sees that Chucky is not in the fireplace. Completely burnt, he chases after Andy, who runs to the bedroom. Karen shoots him several times, knocking off his head, arm, and leg. When Mike's partner Jack arrives, he grabs Chucky's head and brings it back to the bedroom. Unbeknownst to him, Chucky's body sneaks through the air vent to follow the head, and breaks through the vent to strangle Jack. As Karen pulls Chucky's body off Jack, Mike shoots him in the heart, finally killing him.

Child's Play 2 (1990)

The company that makes the Good Guy dolls, Play Pals, has received bad publicity from the Andy incident. To prove that Chucky is a normal doll, they decide to rebuild him. However, during the rebuilding, a worker is electrocuted, and the CEO wants to hide the accident and gives Chucky to another executive, Mattson. Unsure with what to do, Mattson tosses Chucky in the back seat of his car, and drives to a liquor store and gets out to buy vodka. While he is gone, Chucky checks the records that Mattson left in his car, and finds out where Andy is now living: the Simpson house. Upon getting back into the car, Chucky threatens Mattson with a water pistol, to drive to the Simpson residence. When they near the house, Chucky makes him park in a vacant lot, where he suffocates him to death with a plastic bag.

Entering the house, Chucky finds that there already is a Good Guy doll there, named Tommy. He breaks the doll with a glass antique, buries it in the backyard, and then proceeds to pose as him. The next night, Chucky decides to act, and sneaks into Andy's room. He ties Andy to the bed and begins the chant, but is interrupted as Andy's foster sister Kyle sneaks through the window after a night out. Their foster parents come into the room as Kyle unties Andy, and throw Chucky down into the basement.

The next morning, when Andy goes to school, Chucky follows. During recess, he creeps into the classroom, and finds Andy's test paper. He writes obscenities on it, causing Andy's teacher to hold him in detention after school. She locks Andy inside the classroom, and throws Chucky into the closet, whom she finds in the class play area. Andy escapes through the window. Returning, she hears noise coming from the closet, and assumes that Andy is hiding from her. She searches the closet, only to have Chucky stab her in the chest with an air pump and send her flying into the desks. He emerges from the closet, and beats her to death with a yardstick.

In the night, Andy hears something coming from the basement, and with a knife, goes downstairs. Chucky attacks him, only to be stopped by the foster father Phil coming down. Andy tries to warn Phil, but Chucky trips him and leaves him dangling on the edge of the stairs. He then drops him, causing him to fall and break his neck. With her husband dead, the foster mother Joanne sends Andy back to the orphanage. Alone in the house, Chucky follows Joanne upstairs and slits her throat, then sets his sights on Kyle. Subduing her, Chucky forces her to drive him to the orphanage. He holds her at knife point as he pulls the fire alarm, to get Andy out. He stabs Andy's care worker Grace to death, and takes Andy to the Play Pals factory.

Inside the factory, he knocks Andy unconscious, and begins the chant. However, it is too late for him to transfer his soul now; Chucky is trapped as a doll forever. Enraged by this, Chucky goes to kill Andy, but is subdued by Kyle, who takes him and runs. The two are chased through a maze of dolls, and as they run up a conveyor, Kyle slams the gate onto Chucky's hand. He manages to pull the arm free, losing the hand, and replaces it with his knife. He continues the chase, and kills the lone technician on the way. Although he goes in for the attack, Kyle knocks him into another machine, which cuts off his legs. Chucky once again tries to kill, rolling himself over on a crate, but Andy douses him with molten plastic. He is still not dead. While he attacks Kyle, she forces an air tube into his mouth, expanding his head until it explodes, killing him.

Child's Play 3 (1991)

The Good Guy doll line has been restarted by Play Pals. As they decide to recycle the old dolls for the new ones, Chucky's remains are unknowingly included in the batch. With his blood melding with the molten plastic, he is once again brought to life in a new doll body. Being the first doll off the assembly line, Chucky is given to the CEO, Sullivan. He brings the doll back to his apartment, where Chucky kills him, and then uses his computer to locate Andy.

Chucky mails himself to Andy at the Kent Military School, but is instead opened by a boy named Ronald Tyler. He decides to use Tyler as his new host, and reveals himself to the boy. He gets ready for the ritual, and disguises his plans as a game called "Hide the Soul". Unfortunately for Chucky, Cochrane finds Tyler, and as toys are against the rules, takes him away and throws him in the trash. The garbage man takes him and throws him into the truck, but is alarmed to hear a voice shouting from inside. While he goes to look, Chucky slips in the driver's seat and starts the compressor, killing him.

Later that night while searching for Tyler, Chucky breaks into Andy's room to attack him. Andy thwarts him off until Shelton comes in, seeing Andy slamming the doll against the floor. He takes Chucky away, claiming he needs it for his sister's birthday, but Chucky escapes again. He is able to eventually locate Tyler, who is playing Hide-and-Seek. When he finds him in Cochrane's closet, he has no time to cast the ritual as they are then found by two girls. The girls quickly flee as they hear Cochrane coming back and take Tyler with them, leaving Chucky. Jumping out of the desk armed with a knife, Chucky scares Cochrane into having a heart attack.

The next day, the barber Botnick finds Chucky sitting on his chair, and when he tries to shave his head, his throat is slit with the razor. A few hours later, the school is getting ready for their annual paint ball war game, with the students split into red and blue teams. Chucky steals the red team's rifles, and replaces the paint pellets with live ammunition. Before the game starts, he calls Tyler out to the woods. He reveals his true intentions to the boy, who out of fear stabs the doll and runs back to the game. To get Tyler back, he captures Andy's friend Kristen, and using the radio, tells Andy to bring him Tyler or he'll kill the girl. During this time, he also shouts insults at both teams in order to get them to start shooting at each other. After they switch hostages, both teams show up and start firing, with students being shot and killed in the crossfire. In the confusion Tyler escapes, and Chucky throws a grenade at the crowd while he chases after the boy.

Capturing Tyler again, the two find their way into a nearby carnival. They go into a haunted house, followed closely by Andy and Kristen. Once inside, the two groups catch up with one another, during which Chucky shoots Kristen in the leg, forcing Andy to take on Chucky alone. As Chucky continues to chase after Tyler, he unintentionally stands underneath a Grim Reaper statue, which slices half of his face off. When Tyler is knocked unconscious by the wing of a giant figure, Chucky begins the chant. However, halfway through the chant, Andy shoots his left arm off with a pistol and knocks him off the mountain of skulls. Once Andy reaches Tyler and wakes him, Chucky leaps back up. Tyler hands Andy a pocket knife, which he uses to cut off Chucky's remaining hand, and throws him off. Chucky falls into a propelling fan, shredding him to pieces.

Bride of Chucky (1998)

Chucky's remains have been taken to a confidential evidence footlocker. Tiffany, the ex-girlfriend of Charles Lee Ray, bribes a cop into getting his remains for her, which she brings back to her trailer home. Using parts of other dolls, she sews him back together, and attempts to resurrect him. However, she is disappointed to see nothing happen, and is then interrupted by her unwanted lover, Damien. Tiffany notices Chucky moving around the trailer, but he still appears to not be alive. In a last ditch effort to awaken him, she handcuffs Damien to her bed with Chucky on his chest, and begins to perform a striptease for them. To incite Chucky, she tells Damien that he can be jealous and will kill anyone who looks at her. When Damien jokes about Chucky's size, he finally comes alive, ripping out his lip piercing. While Damien screams in pain, Chucky smothers him to death with a pillow, as Tiffany watches in delight.

After they get reacquainted, Tiffany brings up the ring she found the night he was gunned down, thinking it is an engagement ring. To the contrary, he reveals that he was never going to propose to her, and the ring was one he stole from someone he killed, and planned to sell. Heartbroken, she confines him to a playpen for the night. The next day, she taunts him by throwing him a bridal doll, with the ring on a necklace. When she leaves to have a bath, Chucky begins sawing out of the pen with the ring. He grabs the bridal doll and a knife, then slowly walks over to Tiffany. He knocks her TV into her bathtub, electrocuting her to death, and then gains further revenge by transferring her soul in the bridal doll. After convincing her that he is the only one who can help her now, he tells her about the Heart of Damballa, the amulet he used to transfer his soul into the original doll, which is what they need to find new bodies. However, it is back with his body, buried in the cemetery back in Hackensack.

In order to get there, Tiffany hatches a plan to get her neighbour, Jesse, to take the two dolls to Hackensack by the next day. Because Jesse wants to take his girlfriend Jade away from her restrictive uncle Warren, he accepts her offer. Once Jesse arrives to help Jade pack, Warren breaks into Jesse's van to plant marijuana. To make sure Warren does not interfere with their plans, Chucky sets off an airbag to launch nails into his face, and then hides his body in the back. Later on the drive, the couple are stopped again by another cop, Norton, who is sent to find the marijuana Warren planted. Worried Norton will find Warren's body, Chucky tosses the marijuana closer to him so he finds it. While Norton interrogates Jesse, Chucky crawls over the Norton's police car, shoves a cloth into Bailey's gas tank and lights it. When Bailey begins to smell the smoke, the dolls wave to him before his car explodes.

Jesse stops at a chapel motel to marry Jade, and when they are gone Chucky stabs Warren to death after he tries to run away. That night in the Honeymoon Suites nearby, the couple are visited by another next door, who are secretly thieves and steal their money, enraging Tiffany. Later that night she kills them, and Chucky is so amazed that he proposes to her. He gives her Jade's ring, and together they make love. The next morning, the couple continue their drive with their friend David, who caught up with them. He reassures them that neither of them are behind the murders happening around them, but is shocked to find Warren's dead body in the back. While confronting them, the dolls jump up and hold them hostage with guns. David, backing up with fear, is accidentally hit by a truck and killed.

After the dolls murder another couple and hijack an RV, they force Jesse to drive to the Hackensack cemetery. Along the way, Jesse and Jade are able to make the dolls argue. While distracted, Jade kicks Tiffany into the oven, and Jesse pushes Chucky out of the window. However, he shoots at Jesse, causing the RV to run off the road and into a ditch. Out of the RV, Chucky captures Jade, and she takes him to his grave site. While a medical examiner is digging up his coffin, Chucky shoots him and orders Jade to open the casket and give him the amulet. Jesse then appears with Tiffany, and they trade hostages. Chucky throws his knife at Jade, but Jesse turns her around and is stabbed in the back. After she pulls the knife out, they are tied up. As Chucky begins the chant, Tiffany tells him to kiss her.

Kissing, Tiffany pulls the knife out of Chucky's pocket and stabs him. Angered, he hits her with a shovel, and they fight until he ultimately stabs and kills her. While looking at his dead bride, Jade knocks him into his grave. She takes his gun, shooting him multiple times and killing him. The next morning, Tiffany gives birth to their child.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Chucky and Tiffany's son Glen has been living in Britain with a ventriloquist named Psychs. Wanting to find his parents, he escapes to Hollywood, where new animatronic dolls of them have been made for the film "Chucky Goes Psycho". Glen resurrects them with the Heart of Damballa amulet. After the two kill one of the stage hands, their son announces himself. Chucky and Tiffany cannot agree on his gender, and while Chucky believes he is a boy and gives him the name Glen, Tiffany calls her Glenda. For the welfare of their child, Tiffany decides to quit her murdering habits to set a good example. However, Chucky has no intention of quitting, and tries to teach Glen behind her back.

Chucky arranges a "boys' night out" for him and Glen, which results in them rear-ending Britney Spears' car into a ditch so forcefully that it explodes on impact. They then set their sights on their next victim, the photographer that took the pictures of Chucky. Glen tries to stop his father and save him, but the photographer is so startled by Glen's appearance that he hits a shelf where sulphuric acid falls on him. This causes him to die slowly, as the acid eats away his face. Chucky is so thrilled by this, that he sets up a camera to take a photo of them beside his first victim.

During this time, Chucky and Tiffany had come up with a plan to transfer their souls into new human bodies to start a new life. They had chosen the actress Jennifer Tilly and director Redman. And for Glen, they impregnated Jennifer with Chucky's semen. Jennifer is abducted by Chucky while on phone, and tied to her bed, As Tiffany kills Redman, they kidnap Jennifer's limousine driver, Stan, as Chucky's replacement body. The voodoo magic that "fuels" the killer dolls has also accelerated the pregnancy, and she soon gives birth to twins. It is then that Chucky has an epiphany. After several years of being an infamous killer doll, Chucky finally accepts, and embraces, his circumstances.

Furious with his decision, Tiffany decides to leave with Glen. Chucky attempts to kill Jennifer to stop Tiffany's plans, only to have Stan take the knife instead. Hearing police sirens in the distance, Chucky is forced to flee, with Jennifer being taken to the hospital. Tiffany and Glen follow, and she manages to transfer her soul in the nick of time, as Chucky breaks through the door and axes Tiffany's doll body. Angered by his father, Glen takes the axe and proceeds to impale and dismember Chucky. Glen asks Chucky if he is proud of him, and Chucky congratulates Glen before being decapitated and killed. However, four years later, human Glen is delivered a strange package. When he opens it, he finds that someone sent him Chucky's dismembered arm, which proceeds to strangle him.

Curse of Chucky (2013)

Chucky arrives in an unmarked package to the isolated house of Sarah and Nica. As neither of them were expecting the doll, they think nothing of it and throw it away. That same night, Chucky manages to kill Sarah, making it look like a suicide. To help Nica, her sister Barb and her family come up to the house, as well as the family priest, Father Frank. When Barb's young daughter Alice sees Chucky, she quickly adopts him as her new Good Guy doll.

In the evening, Nica and Alice cook chili for the guests, as Chucky watches. While they leave the room to set the table, Chucky pours rat poison on one of the plates. At dinner time, Father Frank eats the poisoned chili, causing him to feel disorientated. He decides to go home, but while driving back he loses control and dies in a traffic accident. Later in the night, Alice is put to bed with Chucky. A thunderstorm rages in the background, scaring Alice, who hides under her covers. She tells Chucky that she is scared, and Chucky simply laughs at her. To keep her out of the way, he tells her that they are going to play Hide-And-Seek, so she hides in the closet for the night. He locks the door behind her.

When Barb and the nanny Jill are Skyping, Chucky sneaks out of Alice's room. As Jill strips down to her undergarments, Chucky kicks a bucket of rainwater over, which touches Jill's feet and the power outlet beside her. This electrocutes and kills her, and causes a power outage. With her Skype abruptly cut off, Barb decides to try to find Alice, who is not in her room. She goes up into the attic, and discovers Chucky there. She also finds a knife by Chucky, and she places him and the knife down while she looks for Alice. When she turns around, she sees Chucky on the shelf behind her. She notices something on his face, and begins to peel off latex strips, revealing scars underneath. She puts her finger near his mouth to remove another strip, causing Chucky to finally come to life and bite her. She jumps back and falls on the floor, and with her cornered, Chucky stabs her in the eye.

Hearing noises coming from upstairs, Nica climbs up to the attic staircase, only to find Barb dead. Chucky reveals himself, proclaiming that she is next. She manages to get away into Barb's husband Ian's room, who takes her down to the garage to look for Alice. Following them, Chucky gets into the car, and starts revving the engine in an attempt to suffocate her. She smashes the window with a hatchet to get the keys and turn the car off, but Chucky swallows them. However, before too long, Ian rushes back into the garage and blames Nica for the murders. She faints from the stress, so Ian ties her to her chair. He attempts to prove her guilt by playing the nanny cam footage, which he placed in Chucky's head, but is shocked to find that Chucky is the killer. Without time to react, Chucky wheels Nica into Ian, knocking him to the ground. He grabs Nica's hatchet, and axes his lower jaw clean off.

Nica has wriggled out of her restraints, and Chucky axes her in the knee. She manages to remove the hatchet from her leg, and with the blunt side, knocks Chucky's head clean off. However, as he is a doll, he simply reattaches it. He pushes her over the balcony, where she falls to the ground below. Walking down the stairs, he takes a little time to explain his motives. When he reaches the bottom, the power comes back on, and Nica manages to get her lift. Regardless, the power goes out again and she is forced to hold the door closed, as Chucky slashes her fingers. She takes the knife from him, and plunges the knife in his back. Nica is found by a police officer, and is found guilty for Chucky's crimes.

Tiffany is revealed to still be involved with Chucky, as she bribed another police officer to steal Chucky back for her. She ships him to Alice's new location, her grandmother's house. Chucky suffocates her grandmother with a plastic bag, and successfully performs his ritual with Alice.

Six months later, Chucky is sent back to Andy Barclay's home. Andy leaves the package on his table as he answers his phone. While Andy is talking to his mother, Chucky cuts his way out of the package with his knife. When he turns around, Andy is pointing his shotgun directly at the doll's face. Before he can react, Andy shoots.

Cult of Chucky (2017)

Andy has kept the Chucky head he shot four years prior, still alive even without the body. He takes the head out of his safe and places it on the table, lighting up a joint after an unsuccessful date with Rachel. Chucky asks for a hit, and Andy puts the joint up to the head's lips. He inhales, but lunges at Andy's hand before exhaling. As Andy walks away from the table to get something to "play" with Chucky with, he taunts Andy about how he will never know if Rachel is a natural redhead. To this remark, Andy takes out a flamethrower and proceeds to torture him.

Meanwhile, Nica has been transferred to the medium security Harrogate mental institution. She attends a group session held by Dr. Foley, and the subject of Nica's past and the murders comes up. While Nica explains that she committed the murders and hopes her niece Alice is okay, Angela interrupts to claim Chucky phoned her to say that he is coming for Nica, now that she can have visitors. In order to help the group make sense of the "Chucky" situation, he goes to his desk and brings out a Good Guy doll, named Chucky. Although some in the group are disturbed by the doll, Madeleine immediately takes to it as her baby, and carries it around with her from then on.

At lunchtime, Nica has a visit from Tiffany, claiming to be Alice's legal guardian. Tiffany explains that Alice has died, and she has left her the Good Guy doll she used in therapy, also named Chucky. Nica throws the doll to Dr. Foley before she exits the room distressed, so he puts it in the group therapy room. Later in the night, Chucky sneaks behind the front desk and steals a scalpel to go after Nica. Slowly walking down the hall, he stops in front of Angela's room as she comes out of the door. He becomes frustrated when she believes he is just a hallucination, and announces that "she's next" as he walks away. Entering Nica's room, he notices that one of the spokes on her wheelchair had been torn out, which she used to slit her wrists to commit suicide. However, Chucky stitches her wrist together to save her life, and writes "NOT SO FAST" into the pool of blood by her bedside. The next morning Nica wakes to hear the alarms sounding throughout the facility as the nurses rush to Angela's room. There she is found dead lying in her bed, her wrists slit. In one hand is the wheelchair spoke Nica used, and written in her blood is "CHUCKY DID IT".

At the next group therapy session as they discuss Angela's death, Madeleine comes in with her Chucky as Alice's Chucky doll is already on the couch. Nica becomes convinced that Alice's Chucky still contains the soul of Charles Lee Ray, and demands Dr. Foley prove that it is just a doll. Sighing, he takes the doll and holds a lighter over its hand, melting the plastic until the hand is disfigured. Nica suggests burning the other doll's hand, which causes Madeleine to jump up and leave the group. Malcolm and Nica believe that Madeleine's Chucky is alive, and run after her to destroy it. Malcolm approaches Madeleine as she is standing in front of Angela's open grave, who then throws the doll into it. Malcolm is also pushed into the grave by her. The nurses reach him just as he passes Madeleine her doll back, and as he is pulled out, he looks directly at Nica watching through the window, smirking at her.

Claire returns to the group therapy room and takes the Chucky doll. She goes to dump the doll down the laundry chute, but yells out in pain before she can do so. Looking at her arm, she notices a bite mark as Dr. Foley catches up with her. He thinks that she did it to herself, and she is taken to another room to be restrained. She is given a drug to calm her down, and she is then left alone with the Chucky doll. He walks up to her with a canister of compressed oxygen. He asks her if "compressed" means what he thinks it means, before going to the other end of her gurney. He throws the canister at the ground, which shoots through the skylight above Claire, causing shards of glass to fall and decapitate her.

That night, Andy reads an online article about the connection of the deaths at Harrogate with Nica and Chucky. Laughing, the Chucky head remarks that "he isn't the only one". Andy goes to his gun cabinet and takes out another Good Guy doll, this one with short hair. He has it mailed to Dr. Foley, while he takes his truck and begins the drive to the institution.

Dr. Foley and Nica have a private session, where he hypnotizes her to make her admit that she killed Angela and Claire. Suddenly during the session, Alice's Chucky hits Dr. Foley from behind with a glass bottle, knocking him out. Chucky remarks on how diabolical Dr. Foley is, and how in a way he is a little envious of him. Jumping down from the desk, he grabs a shard of glass and hands it to Nica, telling her that "she knows she wants to". However, before she can do anything, she falls unconscious. The next day as the therapy group waits for Dr. Foley, Malcolm reveals that his new name is Charles. Madeleine leaves the group, and goes into her room to put Chucky down for a nap. But as she places him on her bed, she reenacts the murder of her own baby with the doll, smothering him with a pillow. After Madeleine finally admits what she has done to Dr. Foley, they bury the doll in a makeshift grave outside. Nica watches the grave at night from the window, and just as the Chucky's hand bursts from the ground, the other Chucky comes behind Nica and injects her with a sedative. As Madeleine is in her room, her Chucky doll comes back to her and they embrace one last time. She asks him to kill her, to which he obliges and chokes her to death by shoving his arm down her throat. Once her body is taken away, Dr. Foley gives the Chucky doll to Carlos and orders him to get rid of it, to which he drops it down the laundry chute.

As Dr. Foley returns to his office, he finds Nica strapped in a strait-jacket with the short-haired Chucky still on his desk after being delivered. He proceeds to put red heels on Nica's feet, before again being knocked out by Chucky, who offers Nica a glass shard, but she refuses to kill him. Madeleine's Chucky walks into the room, and uses the Damballa incantation to bring life to the short-haired Chucky. Alice's Chucky then explains to Nica that he found a spell on VoodooForDummies.com, allowing him to possess anyone. He reveals that he was able to possess Alice for a short time, but she was killed when one of her victims fought back. Just then Carlos walks into the office, but before he can run he is stabbed in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground. From there, the three Chuckies use their drill, knife, and glass shard to repeatedly stab him until he succumbs and dies. Alice's Chucky welcomes the short-haired Chucky "to the cult". The short-haired Chucky goes off to kill Andy while Madeleine's Chucky guards the door to not let anyone in, leaving Alice's Chucky alone with Nica. He finally admits to her that he was never going to kill her, and transfers his soul from the doll into her. Now in Nica's body, he stands up out of the wheelchair and takes the strait-jacket off. Standing over Dr. Foley, he says that "this is for Nica" before stomping the doctor's head in with the red shoes.

Walking through the asylum, Chucky runs into Malcolm, who claims that he killed Ashley. Chucky responds that he did not, and Malcolm's reality begins to fall apart, dropping to his knees. In his moment of confusion, Madeleine's Chucky comes from behind and uses the power drill through his head, coming out of his eye. Meanwhile, the short-haired Chucky approaches Andy's door, and unlocks it with a keycard. He throws his knife at Andy's leg, knocking him to the ground. Chucky rushes to grab the knife, allowing Andy to restrain him against the wall. He rips off the Chucky's overalls and digs into his stomach, retrieving a gun he hid inside. He shoots Chucky multiple times in the chest before finally stomping his head in. Just as he finishes, he turns around to see Nica, possessed by Chucky. He tries to shoot, but the gun has run out of ammo. As a woman on the PA announces that the facility is on lockdown, Chucky quickly closes the door on him, leaving with one last remark, "tag, you're it pal". While Chucky walks out of the asylum, Madeleine's Chucky puts down the drill and goes into doll mode. Chucky reunites with Tiffany at the asylum gate, and the two share a kiss. They get into the car, and Tiffany begins to feel bad about Alice, and that it was nice to have her around. However, Chucky simply says "fuck that kid", and the two start laughing before driving away.

Before Andy leaves to go after Nica, he sends Kyle to his cabin. She is instantly recognized by the Chucky head as she enters Andy's cabin, and she then continues torturing the head before disposing of him.

Chucky (2021)

Jake's Chucky

Jake Wheeler finds Chucky at a yard sale and buys him for $10 to use his head as part of his doll sculpture. Unknown to him, Chucky steals a butcher knife from the yard sale before he is taken away. Later that night at Jake's house, his father Lucas smashes his doll sculpture in a fit of drunken rage. Chucky manages to hide under the bed before he can be destroyed, and is later found by Jake along with a bloody chunk of his cat's fur. The next day, Jake discovers that vintage Good Guy dolls are worth a lot of money, so he elects to take Chucky with him to school to protect him from Lucas. During Biology class, Lexy mass texts a fake GoFundMe about Jake to the entire class, ridiculing him. When the bell rings, Jake gives his teacher Miss Fairchild Chucky for safekeeping until he sells him. Miss Fairchild also stops Lexy, making her stay behind in class so she can get the principal. While waiting, Chucky scares her and makes her drop her phone, which he swipes without her knowledge. Frightened, Lexy quickly leaves the room when the teacher returns; Miss Fairchild then locks the doll in the cabinet and exits with the key.

The next morning, Chucky somehow manages to escape the cabinet and makes his way back to the Wheeler house. Curious from a strange phone call last night, Jake checks Chucky's batteries and is alarmed to find he has been running without any this entire time. He throws the doll into the garbage can outside, believing that to be the end of it. However, Chucky reappears at the school talent show later that night, seated behind Jake. Once he picks the doll up, Chucky whispers his plan to Jake about the two of them performing a ventriloquist act. On stage, Chucky reveals that he has Lexy's phone, and begins to read off intimate details in a profanity-filled speech. Jake is eventually led away by the principal, and promptly suspended as a result of Chucky's performance. Upon returning home, Jake and his father have a heated arguement which leads to Lucas hitting him and sending him to his room. Chucky remains in the living room with Lucas, who does not see him drink his whisky and sneak downstairs to shut off the power. Lucas goes to the basement and fixes the power, only to see Chucky waiting for him. He vomits up the whisky onto Lucas' bare feet and an exposed cable, causing him to be electrocuted to death. Jake and Chucky are then taken to live with his Uncle Logan and Aunt Bree. Once they are alone in Jake's new room, Chucky finally reveals himself, remarking that Lucas was an asshole who got what he deserved.

A week later, Chucky kills Logan and Bree's housekeeper while everyone else is out of the house. Jake confronts the doll, who simply replies that he didn't kill her and asks Jake to trust him. Chucky tries to reason with him that they only kill people who have it coming, and that he is trying to help him. He believes that some just people deserve to die, and already has his sights set on his next target: Lexy. On Halloween night, Chucky snoops through Lexy's social media and learns she is attending a party. He sneaks out of the house and pretends to be a child trick-or-treating, hiding his face behind a Hello Kitty mask. Approaching a woman's house, he asks her where the location of the party is, and in return for the information gives her an apple with a razor blade inside.

At the party, he meets Lexy's sister Caroline and plays a videogame with her. He compliments her potential and attempts to persuade her to kill Lexy. However, she insists that killing and swearing are bad because her mother Michelle told her so, causing him to remark that she is making her way up his list. Caroline tells him where Lexy is, so he goes upstairs and crawls under the bed that she and her boyfriend Junior are on. He attempts to stab them multiple times through the bed to no avail, and they eventually leave the room to go back downstairs. Once the party is finished, Lexy tries to get her sister to leave but she refuses. Jake runs into them, and sees Chucky rising up behind her with a knife. Jake grabs him before he can strike, and quickly leaves back to the Wheeler house. While in their room, Chucky apologizes for hitting him in the eye and promises to never do that again, which Jake doesn't believe. He again tries to convince Jake that some people deserve to die, and that the world is kill or be killed. Handing him the knife, Chucky tells him to kill Lexy before she can humiliate him again.

Jake has an opportunity to kill her but hesitates and is unable to do it. Chucky reprimands him for his "completion anxiety", and decides that he will solve his Lexy problem for him, by giving her Chucky for her sister Caroline. She immediately takes to her new doll friend, and carries him around with her everywhere. Lexy prepares for a party she is holding at her house, unaware Chucky is following right behind her with his knife. However, he is forced to halt his plan once she invites her party guests inside, and is taken away by Caroline. Later in the evening, Caroline and Chucky are tucked into her bed to go to sleep. He invites Caroline to come with him to kill her sister, but she refuses as she is too tired. Remarking "you snooze you lose", he cuts himself out of the sheets and follows who he believes to be Lexy along the upstairs hallway and slashes this person in the leg. He soon discovers this person is actually Devon, and regardless of his mistake decides to stab him to death. He continues upstairs and waits for Lexy to enter her bedroom. Placing his shoes behind a curtain, he sneaks behind her and jumps on her back while she looks at them. Still on her back, he attempts to strangle her with her necklace as she frantically tries to get him off. She drops her blunt on the ground, inadvertently setting the room and house on fire. After throwing Chucky over her head, she is forced into a corner as he slowly approaches her with his knife. But he is unable to kill her, and is consumed by the flames allowing her to escape the house unharmed.

At the hospital, Jake and Lexy realize Chucky was probably not killed from the house fire, and go back to find him. While searching the house, the two teenagers get into an arguement and Lexy accidentally falls off the railing. As Jake holds onto her hand preventing her fall, Chucky finally appears down below, partially burned and disfigured on one side. He tries to convince Jake to let go of Lexy and let her fall to her death, to stop being a "scared little pussy" and become a man. Jake insists that he is not a killer and slowly pulls Lexy up as Chucky attempts to stab her from below. Just then, Detective Peyton arrives at the house causing Chucky to hide his knife and go back into "doll mode". As he was asked by Lexy's father to get the doll for Caroline, he takes it back to the hospital. He brings the doll into Caroline's hospital room and leaves him on the shelf. With Peyton looking away, Chucky throws a scalpel into his back, directly hitting his spinal cord. He collapses on the ground, no longer able to move as he watches Chucky grab from a container of used syringes. He repeatedly stabs him in the heart with multiple needles until he begins to bleed from every orifice and dies. In his final move, he disconnects Caroline's oxygen to force the nurses back into her room and discover Peyton's corpse. As Jake, Devon and Lexy watch through the screen, Chucky gives them the middle finger.

The next day, Caroline finally wakes up and demands to see Chucky. After Nathan shows her the disfigured doll, she screams in fear so much that he gets rid of Chucky by throwing him down the needle disposal chute. He lands in the disposal bin and is injected with multiple needles, giving him a high before he eventually gets out. He makes his way back to the Cross house, and learns that Caroline as a new replacement Good Guy doll. He breaks into the home while Caroline is sleeping and transfers his soul from his disfigured body into the new doll. At the town meeting the next day, Chucky proceeds to decapitate Principal McVey behind the curtain. When her name is called, he rolls her head out before opening the curtains to display her corpse to the public.

Another Chucky doll, the one with the melted fingers from Harrogate, escaped from the facility and was given to a family in South Carolina. Andy and Kyle have tracked him down, and persuade the family's child Becky to bring her doll out for them to see. Chucky speaks in his Good Guy voice, referring to himself as Charlie, although hesitating slightly at remembering his fake name. While Becky hugs her doll, Chucky looks directly at Andy, remarking that "you made me do this" before preparing to stab the girl. However, Andy quickly pulls out his gun and shoots Chucky in the head, causing Becky to drop him in fear. Screaming "fuck you Andy", Chucky is shot repeatedly in the chest by Andy and Kyle until he finally dies. With their job finished, the two exit the house and drive away on the search for the remaining doll, Jake's Chucky in Hackensack.

That night, Jake, Devon and Lexy decide to set a trap for Chucky at the Wheeler house. Lexy decides to be the bait, and hides in Jake's room to wait for the doll. With Jake and Devon distracted downstairs, Chucky breaks into the house by climbing down the chimney and approaches Lexy. He attempts to get her to turn on Jake and kill him, reasoning that she already loves hurting him. While he talks with Lexy, Jake tries sneaking up behind him, but Chucky hears him coming and slashes him in the leg before making his escape. He is stopped by Devon who electrocutes him with his taser, although this only halts him briefly. With Devon's taser still recharging, Chucky grabs his knife and runs down the hallway downstairs. Just then, Detective Evans enters the house looking for her son. Chucky leaps onto her back and the resulting struggle causes Detective Evans to fall down a flight of stairs and break her neck, killing her instantly. Chucky then gets up and leaves the house.

While Jake waits at the bus station to leave town, he spots a delivery man carrying a Good Guy doll. He pays the man all of his money to get the doll and to learn where it was being delivered: Charles Lee Ray's childhood home. Removing the doll from the box, he takes it back to Lexy's house. The two learn that Devon is at Charles' house, and try to make a plan to help him. However, as they discuss their ideas, Chucky's new spell goes into effect and causes the Good Guy doll to come alive. Chucky grabs a knife from the kitchen and begins advancing on the teenagers. Before he can strike, Kyle enters the house and shoots part of his face off. While he struggles on the ground, she shoots him multiple times in the chest and kills him.

The next day, the town holds their annual screening of Frankenstein at the local theatre. Tiffany, posing as Jennifer Tilly, reveals she has donated 72 Good Guy dolls to hospitals across the country, which will be driven to the airport after the movie is finished. The Mayor's daughter Caroline wants the doll Tiffany is holding, so she gives the doll to the girl to take into the theatre. With everyone distracted by the movie, Chucky gets up and sneaks underneath the chairs. He begins stabbing and killing people through the bottoms of their chairs, including Caroline's father Nathan. Jake makes it to the theatre as everyone runs for their lives, facing Chucky alone as Devon leads Caroline out to safety. As Chucky slowly walks towards him, he observes that after he kills Jake nobody is going to remember him or anyone who died there tonight, all they will remember is the number of people he killed, and Chucky's name. As Jake tries to run across the aisles, Chucky beats him there and slashes his leg, allowing him to jump on top of Jake. He struggles to fight back against Chucky's strength as he slowly inches the knife closer to his face, but manages to throw the doll off of him. Using his bare hands, Jake crushes Chucky's throat to the point where his eyes pop out of his head, killing him once and for all.

Junior's Chucky

Chucky realizes that Jake is no longer willing to help him, and sets his sights on the boy's cousin, Junior. Chucky tags along when Bree drives Junior to her therapy session, and follows her into the building as her son waits in the car. After her session is finished, she stands by the window while looks outside at the view. With this prime opportunity, Chucky pushes the mail cart directly into her, causing her to fall out of the window and land directly onto her car, forcing Junior to witness her supposed "suicide".

After Bree's wake the following day, Junior returns home and finds Chucky waiting for him in his room. He talks with the boy about how much he thinks is father Logan is an asshole, and how he kissed another woman at Bree's wake. Acting shocked, Chucky promises Junior he'll be there for him. He reasons that some people just deserve to die, and that everything was fine before his cousin Jake moved in. He is able to convince Junior to kill Logan, but he is unsure if he can do it. However, the doll comments that Jake was also unsure, but Junior is better than is cousin and demands he prove it. They wait for Logan to return from a night of drinking, where he finds his son sitting in his room with Chucky. The doll turns his head 180 degrees and proceeds to talk to Logan in his Good Guy voice. Logan grabs Chucky to try to turn him off, but Junior takes him back and holds onto as the doll continues talking. In his Good Guy voice, Chucky remarks about how much Logan drinks, and that he is just like his loser brother Lucas. Angered, Logan tries to wrestle the doll from his son's hands, only for Chucky to finally reveal himself. Junior holds Chucky up to Logan's face as he continues talking for Junior. He grills him about his supposed affair with the woman from Bree's wake, and that he was the reason she committed suicide. Junior then proceeds to bludgeon Logan to death, using Chucky's doll body as his weapon.

Unbeknownst to Junior, Chucky was using Junior to complete a Voodoo spell. Chucky used Tiffany's celebrity wealth to purchase 72 Good Guy dolls, which were delivered to his childhood home. He required an innocent child become corrupted kill for him, in order to create his army. The moment Junior began beating Logan to death, all 72 dolls sprung to live as new Chuckies.

Stashing Logan's body in the closet, Chucky and Junior watch as Andy Barclay pulls up to the Wheeler house. Junior answers the door and keeps the man preoccupied as Chucky drags Logan's corpse down the laundry chute, then hides in the toilet until Andy leaves. Junior questions why he didn't kill him, to which Chucky replies that Andy had a gun and that he has bigger plans in store for his longtime nemesis. The two then head back to Charles Lee Ray's childhood home, and Chucky excitedly runs over to Tiffany, who begins tickling him and picks him up for a kiss. She then takes him downstairs to his newly possessed army of 72 Good Guy dolls, and sets him down so he can deliver a speech to his army for their upcoming killing spree.

Tiffany leaves the house to prepare the delivery of the dolls to the theater, and returns to find Chucky and Nica/Chucky engaged in a conversation. She tries to get the doll's attention, but when she is ignored, she angrily remarks that he is the most self-involved man she's ever met. She hits Nica/Chucky so hard that she forces Nica to regain control. The Chucky doll apologizes for his behavior, and as he mentions that "getting over himself" takes real sacrifice, demands that Tiffany kill Nica. When she hesitates because of her feelings for Nica, Chucky orders Junior to do it instead. However, Tiffany snaps and decapitates Chucky with her nail file. Holding his head, she tells him that she is done with him for good, and finally admits to him that she was the one who called the police the night he was gunned down in 1988. Chucky's head is left behind with Devon, who commands his body to stand up and kill the boy. Before he can reach him, Andy breaks into the house and repeatedly smashes the body with a baseball bat, then kicks it under the couch. Freeing Devon, he turns his attention to the Chucky head and demands to know where the other Chuckies were taken. Just as Chucky refuses to answer, Kyle is heard outside the house, looking for Andy. Chucky uses his Good Guy voice to pose as a child calling for help, luring Kyle to open the front door and activate the bomb Tiffany left. The Chucky head is destroyed in the resulting explosion.

Junior takes another Chucky doll with him to the theatre, and uses him to lure Lexy through the theatre, as he pretends to be held at knifepoint by the doll on his back. She finally catches up to him backstage, where Chucky attempts to persuade her to join them and become a killer. Lexy is able to remind Junior that why she fell in love with him, causing Junior's loyalites to falter as Chucky commands him to kill her. He defies the doll's influence, running past Lexy and stabbing Chucky in the chest. However, Chucky manages to stab Junior in the chest as well, causing both to die.

He later threatened John to tell him how to become human again, only to later kill him with a voodoo doll after getting his answer. Chucky's plan was to possess Andy and take over his body. During this, he later electrocuted a doctor with a shock helmet. He then attempted to kill Andy's mom and other officers, only to fail after being burnt and shot[4]. After Chucky's body was repaired, the electrocution killed off the technician. He then killed off Mattson by suffocating him with a plastic bag later that night. After finding out Andy had an adopted family, he called and lied to being his uncle in order to find out his location, attempting to possess him again. He breaks in and ties up Andy at an attempt to possess him again, only to be interrupted by Kyle. After sneaking into Andy's school and getting him in trouble, he beat Andy's teacher to death with a yardstick. He then trips Phil over while walking down the stairs, snapping his neck in the process. Off-screen, he then slit Andy's foster mother's throat. Chucky then uses Kyle as another victim to make her find Andy for him. During that, he kills Grace by stabbing her in the chest. Chucky proceeds to use Andy again, threatening him to take him to the Good Guy Factory. After arriving, he knocks out Andy and attempts to possess him again, only to fail as it was too late. His solution then was to kill Andy, but he ran off. As he chased both Andy and Kyle, he killed another technician by having his eyes crushed with a machine. After attempting to kill of Andy and Kyle again, he had his head blown up[5]. After being reborn into a new body, Chucky first killed off Haskell by strangling him with a yo-yo. After mailing himself to Andy, but being opened by Ronald instead, he decides to use him as a new vessel to possess. After being thrown out into a garbage truck, he screams for help to the garbage man. As he checks who was screaming for help, Chucky uses the truck to trap and crush the garbage man. He then gave the colonel a heart attack upon being scared by Chucky being a living doll. As Chucky was about to have his hair cut by a barber, he slits his neck with a razor. After seeing that the military was going to have gun training with paintball pellets, he replaces them with actual bullets. When the gun training happened, Brett ended up being shot to death as real bullets were now being used. During this, he used a grenade to toss and blew up Harold as a result. When Chucky was then grabbed by a security guard, he shot him in the head. Chucky once again uses Ronald as a victim to possess, and attempted to kill Andy in the process, but was thrown into a large spinning fan that killed him once more[6]. Chucky's remains were found and stitched back by Tiffany, resurrecting him yet again. As he was laid on top of Damien, he killed him by pulling off his lip ring and suffocating him with a pillow. After denying that he was going to propose to Tiffany, she locked him up in a playpen. Chucky escapes, and ends up electrocuting Tiffany as she was taking a bath. He gains further revenge by transferring her soul into a bridal doll. He convinces her that he was the only way she can get a human body back, but needs to help him to find an amulet to do the transfer [the need of an amulet was retconned by Curse of Chucky]. Agreeing, Tiffany helps Chucky by tricking Jesse and Jade to drive the dolls to Charles' grave. During the ride, Warren attempts to stop Jesse, so Chucky and Tiffany impaled his face with nails and hid the body while stabbing it later on. After another officer also attempted to stop the two, Chucky set his car on fire, exploding and killing the officer and another civillian in the process. When David found the body that was killed Chucky and Tiffany, the two scared him into backing up too far, making him get ran over by a truck. The two dolls then use Jesse and Jade to drive them to Charles' grave, where it's revealed that the RV being used was stolen as Chucky killed the two owners. As someone was digging Charles' grave, Chucky shoots him in the process. After an argument with Tiffany, Chucky stabs her during a fight. He's then shot multiple times, being killed off[7]. Both Chucky and Tiffany's bodies were built back for a series. After being reborn by Glen, the two dolls decapitated Tony. Glen unlike Chucky isn't a fan of killing, but Chucky tries to convince Glen that killing is good. Their plan once again is to find new bodies for all three of them to take over. During this, Chucky hit Britney Spears' car, causing her to go off-road and die. Off-screen, Chucky killed three people by either stabs or suffocation after falsely promising he won't kill. He then throws a knife at Tiffany after Chucky accepted being a doll, which hits Stan in the process. When both Tiffany and Glen disagreed, Chucky kills Tiffany with an axe to her head. When fighting Glen, he loses but laughs as his son was technically becoming a killer. When Chucky was "killed", Glen as a real boy sometime later has a birthday. Upon opening an unknown present, it's shown to be Chucky's arm which strangles him[8]. Years later, Chucky is somehow alive again, likely from Tiffany. In doing so, Chucky gets brought to Nica's house. His first act was stabbing Sarah and making her fall off, causing Nica to ask others for help with her house. As they visited, Chucky adds rat poison to one of the meals, which Frank ends up eating. During his drive home, he gets into a car accident which decapitates his head and kill two other unknown victims. When Jill was video calling, Chucky kicked a bucket full of water to the plug the computer was connected to, electrocuting her in the process. He then stabs Barb in the eye after she reveals Chucky's stitched face. When Ian accused Nica of all the murders, Chucky uses this to grab an axe and chop off his jaw. Chucky attempted to kill Nica, but failed as the police showed up. In doing so however, Nica was put in a mental hospital. After that, Chucky finds a young girl named Alice and possesses her, which she used for other crimes, but was killed off. Chucky did not care for her, and prior he even suffocated her grandmother. Chucky then mails himself to Andy to get revenge, only to get shot in the face[9]. However, due to possessing Alice, he was able to gain access for more bodies despite being stuck with Andy. He did this to track and find out where Nica was sent to. During this, Chucky slits Angela's wrist with a wheelchair spoke. He then ends up slicing Claire from falling glass he broke. After manipulating Madeleine, Chucky choked her with his arm and ripped off her trachea. When the three Chuckies grouped up, they killed Carlos by stabbing him with glass, drilling him, and using a letter opener. After Chucky finally possesses Nica, he uses her body to stomp Dr. Foley's head with her heel. He kills Malcom by drilling his eye after calling him a poser and having no use for him. Chucky then attempts to fight off Andy, only to be killed. However, he uses another body to trap Andy in the hospitol. Chucky uses his new body to get away with Tiffany once more and leaves the mental hospitol[10]. After the events of Cult of Chucky and being taken in by Jake, Chucky killed his cat out of being annoyed of him. Later that night, he killed off Jake's father by electrocution[11]. During his stay at Junior's home, Chucky pushes the housekeeper into a stash of knives. He gave an apple with a razor during trick or treating, even after the lady helped him. Chucky often talks with younger people to spread the influence that killing is good. Chucky attemps to convince Jake to kill Lexy, manipulating him in a distressed state[12]. At an attempt to kill Lexy, Chucky orders Jake to deliver him to Lexy's sister so he gets the chance to kill her later. During that night, he accidently kills Devon, but shrugs it off and continues to stab him out of enjoyment. He later burns down Lexy's house as he attempted to kill her[13], hospitalizing multiple people in the process, including a child. He later attempts at manipulating Junior into killing Lexy again. At his time in the hospital, Chucky killed a detective[14]. Chucky after no longer working with Jake went on to proceed and kill more people, such as the school's principle. While possessing Nica, Chucky has been committing more murders and kidnappings. He killed two people when in a hotel with Tiffany[15]. When being confronted by Andy and Kyle, Chucky was about to kill another child. Chucky's various murders were falsely being accused of Miss Fairchild being the killer. After Bree comes in terms and was about to live her life with the fullest, Chucky pushes her off of a building to make it seem like she died from suicide out of distaste for her family. On that night, Chucky attempted to kill Jake, Lexy, and Devon again before being interrupted by Evans. He then killed another mom, Evans, by pushing her down the stairs which snapped her neck[16]. Chucky was able to persuade Junior into killing his father by lying that he was the cause of his mother's "suicide" by cheating on her. When Devon arrives at Chucky's house to help Nica, she ties him up after being possessed by Chucky yet again[17]. When Andy arrives, Chucky tells Junior to hide the body of his dead father and to lie to Andy in regards to where Jake or he is at. It is soon revealed by Kyle after killing a Chucky doll that Chucky plans to manipulate people into creating a cult where everyone becomes a killer. When back at his house, Chucky orders Junior to kill Nica's possessed body after Tiffany's complaint that she wasn't getting attention. He tricks Kyle into coming inside of his house, setting off an explosion at an attempt to kill her, Andy, and Devon. It is later shown that Chucky is going to use his 72 bodies to spread the word to all children that they should all kill. While everyone was watching Frankenstien, Chucky went other the seats of the theater to stab under the chairs people were sitting in, killing them in the result. Within another location, Chucky tries to convince Junior to kill Lexy, only for Junior to stab him. He stabbed Junior back in return, killing him as well[18]. After Andy crashed the truck with his other bodies,he found Jake, Devon, Lexy, Caroline, and Gary. He made a homemade bomb, and threatened to blow them all up, including himself. After being tased by Devon and the bomb being taken by Gary, Chucky still managed to blow himself up with Gary[19]. After getting Jake and his friends sent to Incarnate Lord, Chucky yet again mails himself to them. His first killed a nun by scaring her, resulting in death from a heart attack. He then starts taking pictures of Jake and Lexy at an attempt to frame them for more deaths. Within another body, he also plans to kill Tiffany with Nica's help[20]. Within another body after being caught by Jake and Devon, Chucky used it to kill a priest during a confession by choking them to death with a necklace. Later he punched a hole through Trevor after gaining a muscular body[21]. Inside Nica's body, Chucky kept trying to convince Glen and Glenda to help and kill Tiffany. When Glenda agreed, Chucky would've killed Tiffany, had his gun not run out of bullets[22]. Chucky's overall body count reaches about 109 kills)

Intelligence: Gifted (Chucky is regarded for his skills in being able to murder. His times as Charles let him get away with 22 murders, and he could have gotten more had Tiffany not been the one to tip off Detective Mike. For years, no one was able to figure out who The Lakeshore Starngler was. Charles has been able to constantly kill and even kidnap people without ever being a suspect. Prior to being Chucky, Charles has also been studying Voodoo Magic for years from various books and teaching by John. After being caught by Mike, Charles used his knowledge of Voodoo Magic to become Chucky. As Chucky, his body count has gone up even more. Chucky knows that due to being a doll, no one would suspect him of being behind the murders. He uses his status as a doll to trick kids into telling their parents that he's the cause, making the kids be the leading suspect and being sent away. Even when Chucky is caught by someone, he goes limp in the case where other people arrive, tricking them into thinking the victim of Chucky is just insane. Chucky's skill in killing has also improved. His new body allows him to hide into more places, where he can surprise attack an enemy to land a killing blow. Another tactic is when an unsuspecting victim picks up Chucky, which he uses as an opprotunity to stab them. Overtime Chucky has also learned more voodoo spells to transfer and split his souls into multiple vessels at once. He used this to find a way to escape Andy's home after being captured for years, and was able to break into a mental hospitol to kill off everyone one by one to find and take over Nica. Chucky is also able to find information on Andy and trick others into tipping him where to look for him. Such as when he called his foster home claiming to be his uncle, or using a victim's computer to find Andy was sent to military school. He's also good in manipulation, as Chucky's overall goal is to build up a cult of killers with him as a leader. He convinced both Eddie Caputo and Junior to follow his footsteps into becoming a killer just like him. It's only when too much peer pressure is added is when they back away. Another factor is Chucky using his enviorment well. He can often use whatever is around him as an effiecient weapon to kill those with, often being able to easily find something. It can even goes as far as using school materials or toys into luring victims to their death. Chucky and Charles' accomplishments have turned him into a popular killer, with people making a movie based off of the supposed killings by Chucky. He can also build his own homemmade bomb)

He's skilled in knife throwing, even being able to hit certain points in the body to immobilize someone[34]. He's clever in even using objects from a toy owner as weapons to kill someone with. Can use knives to perfectly pin someone on a wall[35], even being able to stab as something as small as a fly in the air[36]), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance, Nutritional Self-Sustenance, & Restful Self-Sustenance; Despite having blood and organs, Chucky is never shown to require food, rest, or the need to breathe. He can live as just a torn head for years), Social Influencing (Chucky emotionally breaks people[37] and convinces[38] them to[39] kill others for him[40], often those younger so he can gain a bigger cult[41]. Chucky as Charles was able to manipulate Eddie Caputo into becoming a killer and even join him years later before leaving[42]. Convinced Junior into killing his father by lying that he was cheating on his mother, which is what caused her supposed "suicide"[43]), Pressure Points & Paralysis Inducement (Can stab people in the spinal cord to cause paralysis[44]), Stealth Mastery (Chucky's primary method of attacking comes from using his small body to hide in various places. Survived having half his face cut off, survive without a head, a lack of limbs, having his head chopped off, surviving as just a head, have his stomach ripped open while being shot, and having half his body melted[57]. Tore off his own arm without any annoyance), Magic & Summoning (Chucky has been studying Voodoo Magic for years by Dr. Death and other outside sources. His spells summon the spirit of Damballa), Possession & Metaphysics Manipulation (Soul Manipulation; Chucky's voodoo spell allows him to both possess objects and other people with the Damballa spell to transfer his soul in. As seen in Cult of Chucky and Chucky, the spell no longer requires a longer chant[58] like it used to back in Child's Play. By Curse of Chucky, Chucky learnt a new spell to where he can possess multiple objects and beings at once, splitting his soul. His blood can possess whatever it's mixed with as seen in Child's Play 3, which gave him a new body after his death. Chucky can also transfer the souls of victims into other objects, including his own body[59]), Weather Manipulation & Electricity Manipulation (Upon using his Damballa spells, a storm is summoned along with lightning strikes), Technological Manipulation (Using the Damballa spell causes surrounding technology to break), Hive Mind (Chucky has access to multiple bodies, up to 72, where they can all act on their own and speak to themselves[60]. Anyone who he possesses who already had a soul he can take priority for years. Even when not in control, Chucky can still appear in his host's mind[61]), Minor Water Manipulation (Chucky can consume a liquid and spray it out of his mouth[62]), Resurrection (Stated to[63] have resurrected[64] after being stabbed in the chest[65]. While it was stated she can only use it on specific vessels, Damballa spells have been able to allow its users to possess multiple different humans before)

Equipment

Kitchen Knife or various other sharp objects

Other

Standard Tactics: Chucky's primary tactics are to use his environment and small body to his advantage. Chucky will often sneak and hide, making his opponent fumble around and attempt to look for him. Once he gets an opening, Chucky will jump and attempt to use whatever weapon he has to attack. If he's within a safe distance, he'd also use various projectile based weapons, such as his guns, darts, or grenade. If Chucky is forced to fully engage with no means of hiding, he'll rush at his opponent to attack. In the case where Chucky is downed, he'll often play dead to trick his opponent. Once they're either close or far away, he'll strike. With his other Good Guy doll vessels, Chucky can gang up on someone to primarily stab them over and over. He may also use them as vessels and possess them should he see use in them. If his opponent can't focus on all Chuckys, then one of them can always use the spell.

Weaknesses: Chucky is often arrogant, cocky, and sometimes bashful. While initially the soul transfer needed to be done by the first person he's told and needed to be done before turning human again, this weakness has been absent after Child's Play 3, where Chucky has been able to possess others such as Alice or Nica far after the events of Child's Play 3 where he's already given out his identity and has stayed in doll form for years. While also needing an amulet to possess others in both Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky, this has no longer been needed during Curse of Chucky and onward. Destroying Chucky's heart is the only way to permanently put down his current body, but he can always have his 72 other selves to continue, or other vessels he's used in the past. His small body and weight makes it easy to knock him away.

Trivia

  • Chucky:
  • The only way to kill Chucky is by shooting him in the heart.
  • Chucky is inspired by the 1982 Cabbage Patch Kid dolls, and the story of the haunted doll Robert. He was also inspired by the Zuni doll from the 1975 film Trilogy of Terror, and the 1963 episode "Living Doll" from the Twilight Zone.
  • Chucky’s design was inspired by Hasbro's 1985 My Buddy doll, which also dressed in denim overalls and a striped shirt.
  • Chucky's stunt doubling is performed by Ed Gale and Debbie Carrington.
  • Chucky loses his right hand before he dies in the first three films. In Child’s Play, Karen Barclay shoots it off. In Child’s Play 2, Chucky tears it off himself to escape from the bar gate, and in Child’s Play 3, Andy cuts it off with a knife.
  • In Don Mancini's original concept, his name was Buddy and he spoke his catchphrases by pulling the string on his back. He only spoke in his child-like voice until his final confrontation with Karen, where he ripped the string out of his back to reveal his deep natural voice.
  • Don Mancini’s idea for Chucky was very distinct in the script: red hair, two feet tall, blue eyes, freckles, and a striped shirt. From that description producer David Kirschner designed the doll.
  • Charles Lee Ray:
  • His name is derived from the names of three notorious killers: Charles Manson, Lee Harvey Oswald, and James Earl Ray.
  • As a child, Charles lived at 987 Sherwood Lane in Hackensack. As an adult, Charles lived at 730 Stoney Island Avenue on the South Side of Chicago.
  • In Child's Play 2, Charles is mentioned by Grace to have murdered at least 12 people in a series of ritual voodoo killings.
  • The story of Charles Lee Ray becoming the killer doll has become a legend in the Child's Play universe, as a movie about him had been made in Hollywood in Seed of Chucky, called "Chucky Goes Psycho".
  • In the Child's Play 2 novel, Charles' mother was an alcoholic dwarf who was abusive to him for being taller than her. His father left before his son was born. He did poorly in school and was put in special classes. At the age of 13, after being abused for years and teased constantly by other children about his mother's height, he strangled her to death.
