Background

Alinivar is the main protagonist of Mother: Cognitive Dissonance. Before his unexpected imposition as a member of The Applechasers following a meteor shower which led to his demise at the hands of Giegue, he presumably spent most of his time in his cave making paintings. Because of his blue coloration (an unusual and possibly unique trait not shared by the rest of the members of his species, the Mooks), he is often the target of alienation at the hands of other Mooks. After being killed by a rampaging Giegue and awakening to a strange, monochrome plane, Alivinar was consulted by a mysterious voice which administered an imperative crucial to the survival of the solar system: collect the four split portions of the Apple of Enlightenment before Giegue can use their knowledge to destroy every planet.

Alinivar's reluctance to being an Applechaser is a constant undertone throughout the adventure, with his Magicant counterpart, Reflecto, constantly reminding him that his only reason for being an Applechaser is due to the bargain he made in order to be resurrected, and would rather just return home to continue being a carefree artist. Nevertheless, he is very kind to everyone he meets, and this is reflected by the fact that his PSI abilities largely specialize in healing rather than the offensive PSI Larice uses.

Powers and Abilities

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Magicant Creation, Immortality (Types 1 and 8), Divine Protection, passive Fate Manipulation, Causality Manipulation, Subjective Reality, Time Manipulation, and Dream Manipulation via the Apple of Enlightenment (Upon being defeated, the Apple of Enlightment will unwrite Niiue's defeat and tell him that it was all just a bad dream. This is similar to Truth of the Universe and Ness, but without the Plot and Probability Manipulation due to the former being from Truth arranging events in the plot whereas the Apple can't, and the latter coming from Ness winning against Giygas despite the 1% chance, which isn't seen in CogDis), Status Effect and Paralysis Inducement (Via Constrict, which causes the wrapped debuff), Durability Negation (Via Tentacle Slap and Supercombo, which ignores defense), Resistance Manipulation and Statistics Reduction (Via Forceful Jab, Multripod, and Super Combo, which lowers resistances), Transmutation and Petrification (Via Glare, which can petrify the target), Resistance to Extreme Colds (Able to survive in space and extreme colds, such as Pluto)

All previous powers, Healing (PSI Lifeup), Non-Physical Interaction, Purification (Can remove Numbness, Coughing, Nausea, Sleep, Beam, Poison, Crying, Strange, Dumbness, Diamondization, Insane, any other status effect that can weaken characters, and KO with PSI Healing), Sleep Manipulation and Mind Manipulation (PSI Hypnosis can make an opponet fall asleep or feel strange), Statistics Amplification (PSI Empower), Air Manipulation, Heat Manipulation, and One Hit KO (PK Freeze, strongest variant can cause instant death), Energy Projection (PK Shockwave), Mind Manipulation and Conceptual Merging (PK Harmony will cause Niiue and Giegue to become one again, along with temporarily curing Giegue's insanity)

Sound Manipulation (His guitars will use noise to attack), Mind Manipulation (The Loony Tune and Magicant Guitar can make the target feel strange), Air Manipulation (Air Guitar), Transmutation and Petrification (Star Lullaby and Space Jam can diamondize the target), Regeneration (Unknown: Life Pendant regenerates 1% HP each turn), Resistance to Empathic Manipulation, Poison Manipulation, One Hit KO, Paralysis Inducement, Sleep Manipulation, Rage Power, Disease Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Transmutation, Petrification, Morality Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation, Statistics Reduction, Adhesive Manipulation, and Status Effect Inducement (Eye Coin, Emblem Coin, and Coin of Defense provides immunity to crying. Radiant Coin provides immunity to KO and Numb. Wonder Coin provides 50% resistance to everything except for insanity. The Red Cap and Hero Cap can prevent the Insane Debuff. Braggart's Coin provides immunity to instant KO, Insane, Numb, Poison, Sleep, Wrapped, Berserk, Nauseous, and Diamondized. Shades provides 10% resistance to instant KO, strange, crying and dumb. Alien Mask provides immunity to Crying. Various Pendants and other coins grant invulnerabilities to these debuffs.)
Reactive Power Level (Ballpeen Hammer will deal immense damage to Giygas but none to others), Poison Manipulation (Yellow Shroom Cap inflicts poison on a single target), Disease Manipulation (Gross Purple Fungus inflicts Nausea on a single target), Mind Manipulation (Magic Mushroom can cause Strange or Dumb), Fire Manipulation (Fire in a Jar works as a single use PK Fire that doesn't consume PP. The Red Gem is an infinite use but PP consuming PK Fire α), Resistance Manipulation (Vulnerability Spray reduces a single target's resistance to Freeze, Fire, Beam, and Electric attacks), Purification and Attack Reflection (Guardthought Pill cures Numb, Beamed, Sleep, and Coughing, as well as imbuing the target with PSI Reflect. It should be noted that this item is a double edged sword, as it makes the user dumb and negates PSI Lifeup. Green Gembloom and Green Paste cures nausea and poison. Stawberry Paste cures Nausea. Love heals all HP, PP, and statuses. Cureall Cream and Noble Seed removes all negative statuses except for KO. Horn of Life, Love, and Cup of Lifenoodles cures all statuses, including KO.), Ice Manipulation (Blue Gem acts as an infinite use PK Freeze α, but it consumes PP), Healing (Green Gem is an infinite use but PP consuming PSI Healing α. Red Gemblooms heal Mr. Saturns completely), Radiation Manipulation (The Yellow Gem is an infinite use but PP consuming PK Beam β), Time Manipulation (Fuzzy Frog saves the game), Sound Manipulation (The Buzzin' Crowdbuster makes a loud, disruptive noise)

Standard Tactics: Wildcard due to being controlled by the player

Weaknesses:

Note: Whether or not the end game feats are 3-A or 2-C are from the developers of CogDis's knowledge of the feats on the canon game. While it is highly unlikely that they know of canon Giygas's 2-A feat (hence which is why they're not 2-A), it is likely they know of canon Giygas's 2-C feat (disregarding the 2-A feats) due to it being an important plot point of the canon game. The main cast did absorb their magicants, but magicants being 2-C structures as opposed to 3-A ones comes from the original Japanese text, and it is completely unknown if the delevopers of CogDis have knowledge of the Japanese text.
