Background

Tidus was a young boy raised by his caring mother, and his mentally abusive father, Jecht. Tidus grew up in Jecht’s shadow, constantly tormented by his father’s harsh words and legendary Blitzball Player status. However, when Jecht suddenly disappeared one day, Tidus would become a Blitzball ace and rise to take his father’s place.

However, during the Jecht Memorial Cup blitzball tournament, a powerful creature known as Sin appeared and wreaked havoc through Tidus’s home city of Zanarkand. During the attack, Tidus was taken to the world of Spira, where he was surrounded by a completely unknown environment.

Tidus soon joined a girl named Yuna on her pilgrimage to defeat Sin, and made friends with others, such as Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, and Rikku; along with his mentor, Auron. Together on the journey, Tidus travelled through Spira, initially wanting to return to Zanarkand, but soon growing a love for Yuna and a desire to help her defeat Sin.

During this journey, Tidus learned of the world of Spira, and learned things about himself as well. Tidus and Yuna’s friendship blossomed into a relationship, although both of them knew it likely wouldn’t last due to their fate in fighting Sin. Despite this, they clung to optimism and discovered the truth behind Sin together.

• Brotherhood: A distinct water-like sword once wielded by Wakka’s brother, Chappu. After Chappu’s death, this weapon was gifted to Tidus, which became his primary weapon. This weapon not only looks like it's made of water, but has an affinity for it too.
• Caladbolg: A Celestial Weapon that Tidus found in the Calm Lands. This is Tidus’s most powerful weapon, which completely ignores the durability of whatever it’s attacking.

Shields

• Ochre Shield: A shield with an affinity for lightning, which absorbs electric attacks and converts them into health.
• Snow Shield: A shield with an affinity for ice, which absorbs ice attacks and converts them into health.
• Crimson Shield: A shield with an affinity for fire, which absorbs fire attacks and converts them into health.
• Cerulean Shield: A shield with an affinity for water, which absorbs water attacks and converts them into health.
• Medical Shield: A shield with an affinity for curses, which absorbs all curses and converts them into health.
• Soul Shield: A shield that absorbs instant-death attacks and converts them into health.

Intelligence: Genius (Although brash, Tidus is incredibly intelligent and a tactical genius. Noted to be the greatest of all Guardians, he would be above people like Jecht, who have been fighting for several years. He was able to proficiently use a sword the moment he held one)
