~ Runner's philosophy |
Background
The Runner is the main character of the Run series, appearing in all three games. In Run 3, her goal is to thoroughly explore the tunnels, marking each one on the Galaxy Map. She is unlocked upon starting any game for the first time and is recommended for beginners. She has two brothers, one being the Sailor, and the other being the Chemist. Her father is close to her, and apparently she has no mother, but the Sage doesn't count.
General Information
Name: Runner, Skier (When wearing Ski costume), Jack-O-Latern (When wearing Jack-O-Latern costume), Cartographer
Origin: Run
Sex: Female
Age: Unknown (Is the oldest one out of everyone there in Run 3)
Classification: Alien, Skier
Species: Unknown
Occupation: Explorer
Status: Alive
Alignment: Neutral Good (The Runner merely wishes to travel around and explore the tunnels, helping the travelers they meet find their way back to the planet)
Codex Statistics
Tier: 10-B
Dimensionality: 3-D
Attack Potency: Human level (The Runner has no notable destructive feats. Though Runner is noted to naturally have the best strength and agility)
Durability: Unknown (Runner doesn't seem to get hurt by any means in the game. Even if she hits a box while running at full speed, she simply stops, and won't get hurt. Also, since she can respawn, even falling into space won't kill her, and will send her back at the starting point instead making it hard to gauge her durability)
Striking Strength: Human Class
Lifting Strength: Unknown
Travel Speed: Peak Human (Officially noted to have a running speed of 11.3 m/s)
Combat Speed: Peak Human
Reaction Speed: Peak Human
Stamina: Superhuman+ (Can run across the galaxy without getting winded. She can keep running at a relatively high speed, and, unlike the Lizard, won't give up easily. She hasn't been spotted to feel tired in the game)
Range: Standard Melee Range, Universal with Gravity Manipulation
Intelligence: Genius (As the Cartographer in the Planet, she should have a high degree of mapping skills, as well as cartographic skills, since even other characters found her in order to get her draw maps for them, for instance, Dancer. This is further supported by the fact that she is the one mapping the galaxy. She is so famed that almost all characters know her in the Planet. It is known that she supervised the construction of the City, and several smaller cities. Her philosophy falls under planning for the fact that you can’t plan for everything allowing her to keep calm while trying to find her missing planet)
Powers and Abilities
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Acrobatics (Can jump this far), possible Social Influencing (Noted that both her and angel have good leadership skills, can convince the members of the Run cast to keep following her even while they are unable to find their home planet), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance; Can naturally talk and breathe in space), Gravity Manipulation (Capable of shifting the gravity while running), Resurrection & Teleportation (Respawning in the Run series is a canon element that teleports Runner right back to where they died), Telekinesis & Limited Flight (With Rings can telekinetically move objects around to different places and allows the user to stand on nothing without falling).
Resistance to Space, Gravity Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, Cosmic Radiations & Extreme Colds (Can survive the vacuums of space for long periods of time, with it being noted they've been in space for nearly a year and characters like Lizard casually sleeping in space), Gravity Manipulation (Implied by Runner that they do not follow gravity), Pain (She is able to hit a Box with her head and let it speed away in space, seen during the Bridge Building minigame. From the impact, it should be understood that she was also hit in the head by the Box. However, she doesn't seem to mind the effect)
Equipment
Map, Ski gear, Jack-O-Latern costume, Rings
Notable Techniques
Respawning: Every time she falls into holes and gaps, she can respawn in the level, granting her the ability to use the trial-and-error method to figure out how to beat the level and go over the obstacle in front of her.
Modest Running Skills: Her skills of running is notably great, able to run at a relatively fast speed than other characters like the Student and the Lizard. Although she is slow in comparison to Skater. Her maneuverability is high and she is so versatile that she can fit in and beat most of the levels on her journey without a problem.
Enhanced Leap: She can jump relatively high, able to reach about 4.5 m in terms of height, while her height is only about 1 m tall. Even better, she can control her jump distance, ranging from a small hop to a large leap, letting her be able to get past most gaps. She has even shown far higher feats of jumping during cutscenes.
Superb Stamina: She can keep running at a relatively high speed, and, unlike the Lizard, won't give up easily. She hasn't been spotted to feel tired in the game.
Enhanced Running Speed: She can run at a relatively fast speed, being capable of reaching far into the galaxy in a short timeframe.
Modest Maneuverability: Her maneuverability is notably high, with a good strafing speed, she can beat most levels with ease. Even spiral levels can't really make her give up, and she is probably the only character who can run against a Conveyor tile.
Invincibility: She doesn't seem to get hurt by any means in the game. Even if she hits a box while running at full speed, she simply stops, and won't get hurt. Also, since she can respawn, even falling into space won't kill her, and will send her back at the starting point instead.
Pain suppression: She is able to hit a Box with her head and let it speed away in space, seen during the Bridge Building minigame. From the impact, it should be understood that she was also hit in the head by the Box. However, she doesn't seem to mind the effect.
Other
Standard Tactics: Characters in run never really fight, though it’s likely safe to assume their method of attacking is running into the opponent while also manipulating gravity.
