Android 18, known as Lazuli back when she was still a normal human, is the older twin sister of Android 17 and Dr. Gero's eighteenth android creation. Gero built her to help carry out his revenge against Son Goku. At first, her goals seem to line up with what Gero intended. However, she becomes curious about activating Android 16 despite Gero ordering them not to. This leads Android 17 to kill Gero. Over time, Android 18 leaves her violent past behind and joins the Z Fighters. She also marries Krillin, and the two have a daughter named Marron.

Early History Despite what most people assume, and despite how they are commonly referred to as androids or cyborgs, neither Android 18 nor her brother truly fits those definitions in a strict sense. Bulma once examined Android 17's blueprints and pointed out that his body was still human at its foundation. Almost everything about him, however, had been enhanced using bio organic components. The only actual mechanical parts left in their bodies are the emergency deactivation controller, a self destruct device that was later removed, and a small perpetual energy reactor. That reactor is what gives them their most famous trait: inexhaustible stamina and an endless supply of energy that never runs out. Androids Saga
The door gets blasted down by Vegeta, and the Z Fighters surround the androids. Dr. Gero orders Android 18 and Android 17 to kill the Z Fighters, telling them that these enemies destroyed Android 19 and nearly killed him as well. Android 17 asks whether Android 19 was an energy absorption model and whether that same model was the one that converted him into an android. Gero confirms that this is true. Android 18 then asks if Gero went back to using the older energy absorption design for his more recent androids because infinite energy models like herself and Android 17 turned out to be too powerful for him to control. Dr. Gero brushes the question aside, saying it does not matter anymore, and again orders the pair to kill the Z Fighters. Android 17 refuses, stating that they will fight when they feel like it, not when they are told. Gero grows even more upset when he notices Android 18 walking over to inspect a chamber labeled with the number sixteen. She observes that Android 16 is also an infinite energy model and asks what makes the android inside different from her and Android 17. Gero orders her to step away from the chamber immediately. Despite his command, both Android 17 and Android 18 express a desire to activate Android 16, but Dr. Gero firmly refuses to allow it. Android 17 then turns on his creator. He impales Gero through the chest, decapitates him, and crushes his head underfoot. He also scolds Android 18 harshly during this outburst. After killing Gero, Android 17 again tells his sister to go ahead and activate Android 16. At that moment, Future Trunks, desperate to prevent any more androids from coming online, announces that he will not let that happen. He transforms into a Super Saiyan and fires a Buster Cannon directly into the laboratory. When the smoke clears, Gero's lab lies in ruins. However, Vegeta tells Trunks that his attack was completely pointless. Android 17, Android 18, and the chamber containing Android 16 all survived the blast without any real damage. While flying over a snowy region in the northern part of the world, the three androids spot a Lucky Foods delivery van parked on the side of the road next to a rest area. Two workers from the company are standing nearby drinking coffee. The trio decides to land and take a closer look. The workers notice them and try to stop the androids from taking the vehicle, but they get frightened when Android 16 simply lifts the van up and dumps all of its cargo out onto the ground. The androids drive off in the stolen van, and Android 17 announces that he plans to head for Goku's house. Android 18 reminds him that she wants to get some new clothes first, and Android 17 agrees to handle that before they go after Goku. As they drive, Android 18 asks her brother if he even knows where Goku's house is located. Android 17 admits that he does not and says he has been driving based purely on instinct. Android 16 then speaks up and provides the exact coordinates for the house. He adds that if they flew instead of drove, they could reach the location in just a few minutes. Android 18 agrees that flying would be faster, but Android 17 insists that the small, simple pleasures in life are what make things enjoyable. Android 17 tells his sister that they are about to enter a town where he will stop so she can find some new clothes. Suddenly, two police officers begin following them and order them to pull over. The androids exit the vehicle, and the officers promptly arrest them for stealing the van. The officers put handcuffs on all three of them, but Android 16 easily snaps the cuffs off his own wrists. Android 18 then picks up the police car and throws it into a nearby mountain. Android 17 and Android 18 remove their own handcuffs, and the trio continues on their way, leaving the terrified officers behind. Once they reach the town, Android 18 goes into a clothing store to pick out something to wear. She ends up choosing a Western style cowgirl outfit, which she admits looks terrible but is probably the best thing she can find in such a backwater place. She walks out without paying, and the androids drive off while the store owner bangs on the side of their van. The owner calls the police, and soon several police cars start chasing after the androids' vehicle. Android 18 flies out of the van, punches through the pursuing cars, and causes them to crash into one another. As the trio continues driving toward Goku's home, Android 17 suddenly brings the van to a halt. He and Android 18 get out, and he asks if she felt a change in the atmospheric pressure. She says she did feel something. Android 16 then reports that the disturbance came from the outskirts of West City. He adds that two organic beings with very powerful ki are fighting each other. Android 17 notes that he never told Android 16 he was equipped with a power radar. Android 16 simply replies that Android 17 never asked. Android 17 wants to know who is fighting, but Android 16 says neither combatant is in his databanks, though he notes that one of them rivals Android 17 in terms of power. Android 17 dismisses this, claiming his power radar must be malfunctioning because no one on the planet is as strong as he is. The androids decide to keep moving, unaware that the two fighters are Piccolo, who has recently fused with Kami, and Cell, Dr. Gero's ultimate creation built from the genetic material of the most powerful warriors ever to live. As they ride, Android 16 tells Android 17 and Android 18 that one of the powers he sensed earlier is losing energy, which is the result of Cell absorbing energy from Piccolo, and that the fight appears to have ended. Android 17 gets cocky again and repeats that Android 16's sensors need to be recalibrated because nobody can match their level of power. Later, Android 18 tells her brother that she does not like her new outfit and wants to stop at another town to find better clothes. Android 17 reluctantly agrees while Android 16 watches a nearby river with quiet curiosity. The androids eventually reach Mount Paozu, where they have to drive through a thick, dense forest to get to Goku's house. Android 18 makes it very clear that she hates the bumpy terrain, while Android 17 seems to actually enjoy the rough ride. Android 18 asks Android 16 how much farther they have to go, and he tells her that Goku's house is directly ahead. Tired of bouncing around on the rough ground, Android 18 opens her window and fires an energy blast that obliterates the entire forest in front of them, leveling the ground and making the rest of the drive much smoother. Android 17 is disappointed by her actions, saying he was just trying to have some fun and enjoy the ride. Android 18 responds that fun is for humans, and the two of them are not human anymore. This remark causes both Android 16 and Android 17 to fall into a sad, uncomfortable silence. When the androids finally arrive at Goku's house, they find it completely empty. The Dragon Team had anticipated this possibility and evacuated the sick Goku days earlier. In the anime version of events, Android 18 goes through Chi Chi's wardrobe to find herself a new outfit. In the manga, she already changed clothes before they even arrived at Goku's home. Android 17 asks Android 16 if he knows where Goku might have been taken. Android 16 replies that Goku could be either at Capsule Corporation or at Kame House. The trio decides to fly to Kame House since it is the closer of the two locations. The next day at Kame House, Piccolo watches television news reports about Cell's attacks while Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien sleep nearby. Piccolo suddenly senses that something is wrong and looks up to see the three androids standing outside Kame House, much to his horror. Android 16 states that Goku is not there, which disappoints Android 17. Piccolo wakes the others up, and Android 17 demands to know where Goku is, saying he will use force to make them talk if necessary. Unknown to the androids, Goku recovered from his illness and took Gohan, Vegeta, and Future Trunks to the Lookout the previous day to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so they could gain enough power to destroy the androids. Piccolo responds that he wants to see Android 17 try to force him and suggests they move to a nearby uninhabited island where they can fight without risking innocent lives. After telling the others to stay at Kame House, Piccolo flies off with the androids to the island. Once they land, Android 17 gives Piccolo one last chance to tell him where Goku is, but the brave Namekian refuses to be intimidated. He tells the cocky android that he will not go down so easily this time. With the tremendous power boost he gained from fusing with Kami, Piccolo hopes that he can kill at least one of the twin androids and prevent Imperfect Cell from absorbing both of his targets to achieve his perfect form, which would be a disaster for everyone. Android 17 accepts Piccolo's challenge and agrees to fight him one on one instead of bringing Android 18 into the battle, which greatly improves Piccolo's chances of winning. When Cell shows up and interrupts the fight between Piccolo and Android 17, Android 18 learns that Cell is yet another one of Dr. Gero's creations. She is horrified to hear that Cell needs to absorb both her and Android 17 in order to complete his design and reach his perfect form. Android 17 ignores Android 16's warning to run away and instead teams up with Piccolo to fight Cell, but their combined efforts prove useless. Android 18 and Android 16 watch the battle from a distance. Android 18 comments that Android 17 and Piccolo must be holding back against Cell. Because she cannot sense power levels herself, she still believes that her brother is the strongest being on the planet. Android 16 corrects her, explaining that Cell is simply far too powerful for them. He orders Android 18 to flee on her own since Android 17 refuses to listen to reason, warning that if Cell absorbs them both, nobody will be able to stop him. Android 18 asks what Android 16 plans to do, but he stays silent. As a last desperate move, Piccolo tries to kill Cell with his Light Grenade attack. The blast destroys a massive chunk of the island. The androids and Tien Shinhan, who has just arrived on the scene, watch in awe, though Android 16 shows no reaction. Android 18 praises Piccolo's power and assumes that Cell has been destroyed. However, Android 16 immediately states that the attack did not even damage Cell. Seconds later, Cell slowly rises from the ocean without a single visible scratch. He brutally incapacitates Piccolo and tosses him into the water. Intimidated by what she has just witnessed, Android 18 decides that running away is probably the best option. Android 16 again orders her to flee and tells her that he will destroy Cell himself, which shocks her. He decides that he must use his full power now, even though his original plan was to save that power exclusively for killing Goku. Android 16 approaches Cell, much to the astonishment of both Tien Shinhan and Android 18. He tells Android 18 that he is glad he got to meet her and Android 17 and that he enjoyed the time they spent together, then turns his attention back to Cell. Android 16 manages to hold Cell off for a while by repeatedly catching him off guard with intense attacks. He forcibly tears Cell's tail stinger off his body, but the bio android easily regenerates the lost limb thanks to his partial Namekian DNA. Android 16 decides to use his strongest attack, Hell's Flash, to try to destroy Cell once and for all. Tien Shinhan and the other androids stare in shock as he prepares the attack. Android 16 notices that Android 18 is still there and reminds her that he told her to run. She says that will not be necessary now that Cell seems to be defeated, but Android 16 tells her she is wrong. He explains that Cell, though injured, will not die so easily. He again begs Android 17 and Android 18 to escape, but Android 17 refuses, saying he wants payback and believes he can finish off a wounded Cell. As Android 17 taunts Cell to come back out and face him, Cell begins to emerge from the ground directly behind him. Tien notices what Cell is doing and yells out a warning, but it is too late. Cell quickly emerges and uses his tail to start absorbing Android 17, triggering his transformation into Semi Perfect Cell. Android 16 and Android 18 stare in horror as the newly transformed Semi Perfect Cell turns toward them. Android 16 suddenly grabs Android 18 and says they have to escape. He takes off into the air still clutching her, but Cell flies after them and quickly overtakes them. Android 16 freezes mid flight, stunned by Cell's incredible speed. Cell taunts both of them, saying they cannot escape from him and that thanks to absorbing Android 17, even he was surprised by his own new speed. He wonders aloud just how powerful he has become. A furious Android 16 throws a punch at Cell, but the blow does nothing. Cell smiles at the shocked android, then blasts him in the face, disfiguring his head and leaving him in critical condition. Cell remarks that he has become stronger as well, while a terrified Android 18 looks on. Cell turns toward Android 18 and tells her she was smart not to try to escape. He then says that it is her turn to be absorbed and that he will soon attain perfection. Android 18 holds her hand to her chest and warns Cell not to come any closer, threatening to self destruct if he tries. Cell glares at her, then suddenly starts speaking in Android 17's voice. Posing as her brother, he tells her that being part of Cell is wonderful and that it is the only way to become truly strong, urging her to willingly let herself be absorbed. Android 18 seems to waver for a moment, but the badly damaged Android 16 warns her that it is just a trick. Cell snaps back at Android 16, saying that a robot cannot understand how he and Android 18 feel and that he should not interfere. He continues trying to persuade her, saying she should join him to achieve ultimate power. However, he makes a critical mistake. He says that if she joins him, they will be able to fulfill the wishes of the "great" Dr. Gero. Android 18 immediately realizes that it is not actually Android 17 speaking, because she and her brother hated Gero for experimenting on them and would never praise him. Cell scowls at her and says that if she will not join him willingly, he will absorb her by force. He tells her that he is fast enough to subdue her before she can self destruct and orders her to surrender. Before he can act, Tien Shinhan intervenes, holding Cell off with a series of Tri Beam attacks so that Android 18 and the damaged Android 16 can escape. After resuming his hunt, Cell struggles to locate Android 18 and Android 16. Since he cannot see them, they must be hiding on one of the many islands below. Cell takes a deep breath and yells at the top of his lungs for Android 18 to show herself, threatening to destroy every island one by one if she does not. He continues shouting, insisting that he is not bluffing and that even though he wants to reach perfection, he is already the strongest being on the planet. Residents of a city on one of the islands panic, wondering what the terrible voice in the sky could be. Meanwhile, Android 16 and Android 18 hide on a nearby island. Android 18 remarks that Cell really would destroy every island, killing her in the process. Android 16 assures her that she will be fine because Cell is too obsessed with completing his transformation to risk killing her. When nothing happens, Cell realizes that Android 18 will not come out on her own. He turns his gaze toward a city on the island below and destroys it in an attempt to flush her out. He shows no emotion as he watches the destruction, deciding that she was not on that particular island. He yells again, saying that one island has been destroyed and that time is running out until hers is gone. Android 18 watches from a distance and sees the smoke rising from the water where the previous island was destroyed. She exclaims to Android 16 that Cell is actually blowing up the islands. He tells her not to worry and explains that Cell is holding back his blasts to avoid killing her because he would never risk losing his chance at perfection. Android 18 points out that even if she survives the blasts, Android 16 will be destroyed in his current damaged condition. Android 16 begins to wonder why Cell is even bothering to achieve his perfect form when he already seems invincible. Growing impatient, Cell uses his Super Big Bang Crash to destroy the islands in rapid succession. Android 16 and Android 18 brace themselves against the force of an explosion as a neighboring island gets obliterated. Android 18 shouts that Cell is already on the island right next to theirs, but Android 16 urges her to stay put and wait out the attack, explaining that Cell is simply watching to see if anyone tries to fly up and escape. Cell reaches the androids' island and holds out his hand, preparing to destroy it as well. However, he is stopped by the sudden arrival of Vegeta and Future Trunks, who have just finished their training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Android 18 says that Vegeta must be insane to challenge Cell, since she herself easily defeated the Saiyan just a few days earlier. Cell asks Vegeta in disbelief whether the Saiyan really said that he alone would be enough to send Cell to his grave. Vegeta confirms it and taunts Cell, asking if he is hard of hearing. Cell laughs and says he is merely stunned by how absurd the statement is. Watching from a distance, Android 18 says that Cell is right and that not even a miracle could give Vegeta victory. She then tells Android 16 that this is their chance to escape. Android 16, however, tells her to wait until the battle begins. He also notes that Vegeta's power has increased dramatically. Android 18 is surprised, saying Vegeta could not have changed that much in such a short time and that he was not holding back during their earlier fight. As Vegeta powers up, the island begins to shake. Cell, Android 18, and Android 16 watch in shock. Vegeta suddenly punches Cell in the stomach with tremendous force before the bio android can even react, much to the surprise of Android 18 and Android 16. Instead of fleeing, Android 18 and Android 16 stay to watch the battle between Cell and Vegeta. Soon, Krillin locates their position on the island. Noticing that Vegeta, Trunks, and Cell have not spotted the androids, he realizes that this is his chance to shut Android 18 down. He remembers Bulma's warning that he needs to be within ten meters of the android for the remote to work. He descends toward them, hoping to shut her down without being noticed. Android 18 wonders aloud whether Vegeta might have only pretended to be weak when they fought before, but Android 16 says Vegeta would have no reason to do that and that something must have changed dramatically in the past few days. Meanwhile, Krillin gets closer and finally reaches the ten meter range. However, once he sees Android 18 up close, he struggles to bring himself to push the button. In the end, Krillin gives in to his feelings of infatuation for her and drops the shut down remote. The sound causes Android 18 and Android 16 to notice his presence. Android 18 reacts with shock when she sees the dropped remote on the ground. She wonders how Krillin could have gotten his hands on such a device, considering that Android 17 crushed the one Dr. Gero had. Krillin silently apologizes to Bulma for wasting all the effort she put into making the remote, then crushes it under his boot. He does this despite knowing the imminent danger that Cell will absorb Android 18, achieve perfection, and spread terror across the universe. Krillin orders Android 18 to leave the island before Cell finds her. Shocked and confused, she asks Krillin why he spared her, but he struggles to find an answer. Meanwhile, Cell starts appealing to Vegeta's massive ego. He tells Vegeta that if he were allowed to reach his perfect form, he would provide a much better challenge for the Saiyan prince. Vegeta, who always craves a stronger opponent, agrees to let Cell go through with his plan. As Cell starts to leave, Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan and blocks his path. Vegeta orders Trunks to stop interfering, but Trunks refuses to back down. Cell yells at Vegeta to do something about his son, but then he catches sight of Android 18 and Android 16 hiding nearby. He realizes that his perfect form is now within easy reach. Trunks looks over to see what Cell is staring at. He spots Android 18 as well, along with Krillin standing next to her. Trunks realizes that the androids have no idea Cell has noticed them. He screams out a warning: "Hey! Cell has found you!" Android 18, Android 16, and Krillin all panic as Cell starts flying straight toward them. Trunks declares that he will not let Cell reach his perfect form, transforms into the Super Saiyan Second Grade form just like his father, and takes off after Cell. Vegeta thinks to himself that it is lucky the androids happened to be there. He then tells Trunks that he will not allow him to interfere. Trunks nearly catches up to Cell, but Vegeta kicks him hard, sending him flying into a nearby mountain. Cell lands right in front of Android 18 and Android 16. The two androids prepare to fight him. Cell warns Android 16 not to try anything unreasonable while he is already on the verge of shutting down from his earlier damage. He also mentions that even Vegeta wants him to reach his perfect form. Upon hearing this, Krillin curses Vegeta under his breath. In the anime version of events, Android 18, Android 16, and Krillin all try to fight Cell, but their efforts are completely useless. The bio android effortlessly defeats all three of them without breaking a sweat. Meanwhile, Trunks declares that he will stop Cell from achieving completion even if he has to go through his own father to do it. He fires a Super Buster Cannon at Vegeta and then flies after Cell. Realizing he cannot defeat Cell through direct combat, Trunks is shocked when Cell suddenly uses a Solar Flare technique. The flash of light blinds Trunks, Krillin, and both androids. With everyone unable to see, Cell quickly opens up his tail and absorbs Android 18. During his transformation into Perfect Cell, the bio android creates a protective forcefield around himself so he can evolve without any outside interference. Once he reaches his ultimate power, Perfect Cell has no trouble at all defeating both Vegeta and Future Trunks. Later on, during the Cell Games, Gohan transforms into Super Saiyan 2 and completely overpowers Perfect Cell. Under the onslaught, Cell is forced to regurgitate Android 18, which causes him to revert back to his Semi Perfect state. Krillin immediately rushes to Android 18's side and tends to her for the rest of the battle. He tells her that he is glad he got to see her face one last time before making his final stand against Cell. After Gohan destroys Super Perfect Cell, the group takes Android 18 to the Lookout, where she eventually wakes up. While she is there, Gohan yells out to everyone that Krillin has a crush on her. Android 18 figures out from this outburst that Krillin really does have feelings for her. She feels surprised and a little flattered, but she is too proud to admit it openly. She starts to leave but then spots Shenron in the sky, so she hides at the Lookout to see what is going on. Krillin uses the Dragon Balls to make a wish. He asks Shenron to restore Android 17 and Android 18 to full humanity. However, Shenron says he is unable to grant that particular wish. Krillin then takes the opportunity to wish for the self destruct devices inside Android 18 and Android 17 to be removed instead. As he makes this wish, Android 18 reveals her presence. She corrects Krillin about the relationship between herself and Android 17, explaining that they are brother and sister, not lovers. Still, she feels flattered by everything Krillin has done for her. She simply says, "I'll see you later!" and then leaves the Lookout. World Tournament Saga
Seven years pass after the Cell Games. Android 18 and Krillin are now married, and they have a three year old daughter named Marron. Their household is remarkably ordinary and peaceful for a family that includes a former villain turned superhero. However, Krillin knows that Android 18 can be genuinely frightening when she loses her temper, so he goes out of his way to keep her happy and avoid setting her off. When Gohan tells the couple that Goku will be returning to Earth specifically to enter the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, Android 18 convinces Krillin to sign up as well. Her main motivation is the prize money, which she hopes to win. When Goku finally returns and reunites with all his old friends and family, Android 18 remains cold and distant toward him. She was originally created with the specific purpose of killing Goku, and old habits die hard. She shows clear annoyance when Goku expresses surprise at seeing her together with Krillin and the rest of the group. Later, Goku becomes even more shocked when he learns that Krillin not only married Android 18 but also had a child with her. His surprise comes mostly from his mistaken belief that Android 18 cannot reproduce because he thinks she is a true android, not realizing she is actually a cyborg with mostly human biology. Android 18 responds to his shock with a sarcastic "Spare me." During the tournament, Android 18 faces off against Mighty Mask and defeats him. Unbeknownst to her at the time, Mighty Mask is actually Trunks and Goten in disguise, wearing a single costume to pass as one fighter. After that victory, she gets matched against Mr. Satan, the man whom the people of Satan City generally believe to be the strongest fighter in the world. Android 18 has no interest in fame or in becoming the World Martial Arts Champion. She also does not care about defeating Mr. Satan, whose title she considers somewhat undeserved. Instead, she makes a deal with him. She agrees to let him defeat her and keep his championship title, but only on one condition. He has to pay her a significant amount of money, specifically twice the prize money he would receive as the tournament champion. Mr. Satan accepts the deal, and Android 18 throws the match, allowing him to win while she walks away with a hefty payout. Majin Buu Saga
When Super Buu escapes from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Krillin makes a difficult decision. He tells Android 18 to leave while he faces Buu alone. She screams out his name as he charges toward the monster. Android 18 and the others retreat back inside the lookout, and then Super Buu turns Krillin into chocolate and eats him, killing him. Android 18 takes her daughter Marron by the hand and leads Videl and Bulma away from Super Buu, trying to get them to safety. However, Buu catches up to them. He turns both Android 18 and Marron into chocolate as well and eats them. Later, a wish made to Porunga, the Namekian Dragon, restores her life along with everyone else who was killed. After being brought back, she gives Goku her energy to help fuel the massive Spirit Bomb he is assembling to finally destroy Kid Buu. Even after peace returns to Earth, Android 18 still keeps a cool and distant attitude toward Goku. She was originally created with the specific purpose of killing him, and that history does not simply go away. Still, she cannot help herself from smiling when Goku returns and has an emotional, tearful reunion with his family. She also smiles when she sees Goku and Chi Chi embrace, which reveals a softer side of her personality that she usually keeps hidden. Later, she is seen at a party at Bulma's house. At one point, she playfully pushes Gohan forward to make him dance with Videl, showing that she has become comfortable enough with the group to joke around and have fun. God of Destruction Beerus Saga
Along the route, they run into Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Puar, and Chiaotzu, who are also flying to Bulma's party. The group continues together. After they all arrive, Android 18 immediately asks Bulma what the prizes are for the bingo tournament. She looks over the options and decides that she wants the second place prize, which is a castle. However, she notices Krillin's reaction and suspects that he does not actually like her choice. She confronts him about it right there. Before Beerus and Whis show up, Android 18 spends some time talking with Bulma and Chi Chi. When Beerus finally arrives, Krillin offers him some food. Android 18 cheers for Beerus along with the rest of the attendees and calls out his name. Later, after Beerus easily defeats both Majin Buu and Gotenks, Android 18 gets angry at the god of destruction for harming children. She charges at him alongside Piccolo and Tien Shinhan. The three of them throw punches at Beerus from all directions, but he dodges everything effortlessly. Then Beerus lets out a loud screech that hurts everyone's ears, forcing them to back off. Once Android 18 gets away from Beerus, Krillin comes over to comfort her. She then watches from a distance as Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan 2 after Beerus slaps Bulma. She observes the entire scene without getting directly involved in that particular confrontation. Golden Frieza Saga
Four months go by. Android 18 hears the news that Frieza has somehow been revived and is coming back to Earth. She goes to Krillin's workplace to see him. She hands him his old martial arts gi and volunteers to go fight alongside him. Krillin refuses her offer. He insists that she stay behind instead and take care of their daughter Marron. Before Krillin leaves, Android 18 shaves his head for him. After he departs, she admits to herself that he looks cool. Later on, Android 18 is getting ready to go out shopping for dinner when she looks up and sees something impossible. The Earth is exploding. She and Marron are both killed in the destruction. However, Whis uses his Temporal Do Over technique to rewind time just a bit, undoing the event so that Goku has another chance to kill Frieza for good. After everything is settled, Android 18 attends a big feast that Bulma throws. She goes with her family and friends and enjoys the celebration. Universe 6 Saga
Four days later, Android 18 travels with Goku and the rest of their group aboard Whis's cube. They are heading to the Nameless Planet, where the Tournament of Destroyers is scheduled to take place. During the journey through space, Android 18 passes the time by playing Shiritori, a Japanese word game where players take turns saying words that start with the last syllable of the previous word. The group travels for two hours and forty five minutes before they finally arrive at the Nameless Planet. As they land and step out, Android 18 sees the Super Dragon Balls for the first time. She is amazed by their enormous size and the sight of them floating in space. Once the tournament begins, Android 18 does not participate as a fighter. She stays a bystander and watches all the matches from the stands along with the other non combatants. After the tournament finishes, she notices something odd on the Super Dragon Radar. She points out a hidden ball to Bulma and makes a comment about it. Copy-Vegeta Saga
Later, Beerus puts on a life sized costume designed to look exactly like Monaka. He climbs into the suit and fights against Goku while pretending to be the supposed legendary warrior. Android 18 watches the whole ridiculous display along with everyone else. After Beerus finishes his charade, the party finally gets started in earnest. Everyone makes sure to keep Monaka's secret safe, protecting the illusion that he is a great fighter so that Goku continues to believe in him as motivation to keep getting stronger. "Future" Trunks Saga
Android 18 walks over to Future Trunks. She tells him, with a straight face, that she heard about how he killed her counterpart in his timeline and that she expects to be reimbursed for that. Future Trunks is caught off guard, but then she reveals that she is only joking. She smiles and goes back to rejoin her daughter and husband. Some time passes after Future Trunks returns to his own timeline. Android 18 is out shopping with Chi Chi and Marron when she notices Goku summoning Shenron in the distance. She takes off on her own and heads to Capsule Corporation. Her hope is to use the Dragon Ball wish to find the perfect gift for Krillin. Once Bulma arrives, she quickly tells Android 18 that Krillin does not want or need any fancy gift. The only thing he truly wants is her company and Marron's company. Android 18 accepts this and starts to leave, but not before flicking Oolong away when she is given a huge amount of Zeni. Later, Android 18 finds out that Krillin has been getting hurt by bullets while working as a police officer. She is very displeased by this news. She voices her concerns to him and tries to motivate her husband at the same time. She tells him that the man she fell in love with was not a spineless weakling who gets taken down by bullets. She overhears a conversation between Krillin and Goku and decides to allow Krillin to go train at Master Roshi's island alongside Goku. The next day, Android 18 goes to the island with Marron. She intends to check on how Krillin is doing. Instead of watching directly, she ends up observing his training session inside the Forest of Terror through Baba's Crystal Ball. She is genuinely impressed by the power Krillin displays during the training. She agrees with Marron that her husband is strong. When Krillin finishes his training and returns to the island, she greets him with a quick embrace. Later on, she shaves Krillin's head for him. Universal Survival Saga
She watches Krillin spar with Gohan and notices Gohan's serious expression during the match. This makes her even more convinced that the tournament is not really a game at all. When Krillin attempts to spar with Goku, she expresses concern for her husband. She points out the huge gap in power between the two fighters and notes that Krillin's Solar Flare times one hundred is designed as a surprise attack, not something meant for continuous use in a drawn out fight. Once Goku transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, Android 18 admits that Krillin cannot beat Goku in a one on one fight. However, she reminds everyone that the Tournament of Power is a battle royale, not a series of single matches. When the beam struggle between Krillin and Goku starts going badly for her husband, she jumps in and kicks Goku's Kamehameha into the sky. The move sends both fighters backward. She runs to Krillin's side and tells him the match is not over yet. She reminds them both that the tournament will not be a no rules fight to the death but a battle royale where teamwork matters. Goku calls off the match. He says he has learned what teamwork should look like and that he is counting on both Krillin and Android 18 for the tournament. Android 18 then reveals that she has kept in touch with Android 17 over the years. She says he works at a wildlife reserve, though she never thought to ask exactly where it is located. Afterward, she is seen training alongside Krillin for the tournament. The training looks so violent that anyone watching would think it was a married couple's argument that had gone way too far. Once the full Universe 7 team is assembled, with Frieza replacing Good Buu at the very last minute, the Grand Minister transports everyone to the Null Realm. Beerus, Shin, and Whis come along as well. The Great Priest emerges from the center of the arena and goes over the rules one more time. Gohan lays out a plan for the team to stick together, and Android 18 agrees to do her best alongside Krillin and the rest of the group. As soon as the tournament begins, however, Goku breaks away from the group to fight Top. Android 18, Android 17, Vegeta, and Frieza all follow suit. She is later seen exchanging punches and kicks with Cocotte. Her first elimination happens off screen, but she defeats and knocks Sorrel out of the arena. After Universe 9 gets defeated and erased, Android 18 meets up with Android 17. The two of them discuss the advantage that their infinite stamina gives them in a long drawn out battle. She later fights against Shosa from Universe 4 and defeats him quickly. However, Shosa was only pretending to be knocked out. He surprises her with a sneak attack and a barrage of ki blasts. She is about to be forced off the edge of the ring when Krillin catches her and saves her from falling. The two regroup and knock their opponent out with a combined attack. They also get confronted by Majora, another Universe 4 fighter who is blind. Because of his blindness, Krillin's Solar Flare times one hundred has no effect on him. Android 18 watches the fight between Majora and Krillin, which ends with her husband winning. Krillin then lets his guard down, and Frost knocks him out with a sneak attack. Angered, Android 18 tries to engage Frost, but he creates an explosion with a ki blast and escapes. After Krillin gets knocked out, Android 18 scolds him for letting his guard down. She reminds him of all the money he spent on training equipment. When the Pride Troopers challenge Goku and the Universe 6 Saiyans, Android 18 goes to help Goku against the Universe 11 fighters. She manages to take out both Tupper and Cocotte by throwing them off the stage. When Android 17 struggles against Kakunsa, she offers to help him, but he refuses and says he will get serious instead. After Goku's battle with Kefla ends, Android 18 and Android 17 reappear. Android 17 notices that her leg is injured, so he binds it with his sleeve to help her. They race back to assist an exhausted Goku when Universe 2 closes in on him. Rozie chooses to fight Android 17 to avenge her teammate, while Ribrianne takes on Android 18. Ribrianne cannot land a single hit on Android 18 and grows annoyed. She orders Android 18 to stop running and fight her properly. Android 18 responds that she is not here to fight for fun but to win, and she states that the lives of her husband and daughter are on the line. Ribrianne finds out that the bald man cheering for Android 18 is actually her husband Krillin. She shows disgust by calling him ugly for not having a nose. She continues to criticize Android 18 for having such shallow objectives and accuses her of not understanding what love really is. Enraged, Ribrianne launches herself at Android 18 but hits a wall instead. She picks herself up and uses her Maiden's Charge attack. Because of her injured leg, Android 18 cannot dodge. She is about to get hit when Android 17 intervenes with a swift kick that sends Ribrianne into a wall. Rozie tries to launch a surprise ki blast at the androids, but they dodge, and the blast hits Ribrianne instead. Noticing the lack of coordination between Ribrianne and Rozie, Android 18 and Android 17 work together. They trick Ribrianne into hitting Rozie with a Max Love Cannon that was meant for Android 18. Ribrianne rushes to help Rozie but flies straight into a High Pressure Energy Wave from Android 18, which forces her back down to her base form. As Rozie struggles against Ribrianne's attack, Android 17 blasts her off the stage. Assuming she has won, Android 18 dodges a small ki blast from the now depowered Brianne de Chateau. However, she finds herself caught in Brianne's trap move, Big Amour. All of Universe 2's fighters and its inhabitants take this as their cue to send their love to Ribrianne, transforming her into her ultimate form, Lovely Love Love Ribrianne. Believing this is the end for her, Android 18 closes her eyes. Scenes of Krillin calling her name flash through her mind. His voice continues until she realizes she is actually hearing him calling to her from the stands. Inspired, she powers up and breaks out of Big Amour just in time to meet Ribrianne's Fist of Love with a punch of her own. She follows up with another blow that shatters Ribrianne's fist and then runs up her arm. Ribrianne fires an energy wave from her mouth toward Android 18, but Android 17 returns at the perfect moment and blocks it with his barrier. He tells Android 18 to finish it. She jumps and destroys Ribrianne's remaining fist. Using the shattered pieces as footing, she launches herself toward Ribrianne, overcomes her final energy wave, and punches a hole clean through the avatar's head. Afterward, Krillin and Android 18 exchange thumbs up and smile at each other. Shin, moved by the display of love between them, calls Krillin "her Big Amour." Android 18 does not take kindly to this. She grazes Shin's cheek with a Finger Beam and gives him a sinister look, simply telling him, "That's enough." In the Japanese version, she threatens to kill him. Shin, horrified at almost being killed, apologizes. After finishing off Ribrianne, Android 17 and Android 18 rejoin Goku to finish off Universe 2. Uncharacteristically, Android 18 plays along with Universe 2's obsession with dramatic monologues. She follows Android 17 in giving herself an over the top introduction, calling herself the goddess of Universe 7. She fights alongside Android 17 and Goku to push the remaining warriors to the brink of defeat. In their last stand, the Universe 2 fighters launch their ultimate attack, Pretty Black Hole, which traps all three of them. They seem lost until Goku fires an SSB Kamehameha to finish off Universe 2. During Universe 3's all out attack on Universe 7, Android 18 works with Android 17 to break through Biarra's supreme defense. The twins eventually crack his armor and mock his strategy before Android 18 kicks him off the stage. When the remaining Universe 3 fighters merge to form Agnilasa, Android 18, Android 17, Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta all attack from different sides to confuse the monster, but it quickly counters all of them. Agnilasa changes strategies and starts grabbing its enemies. Android 18 gets caught and is about to be eaten when Goku saves her with Instant Transmission. Agnilasa then attacks all the fighters with intense energy waves, pushing everyone back. Android 17 is especially vulnerable because he is close to the edge of the ring. Noticing this, Agnilasa fires a large mouth energy wave at him, destroying his barrier and knocking him off the stage. Android 18 jumps off after him and grabs hold of him. Confused, Android 17 asks what she is doing. She tells him that it is all up to him now and kicks him back onto the stage, eliminating herself instead. After being eliminated, Android 18 apologizes for losing. Krillin comforts her and tells her she did more than her fair share. She watches her remaining comrades battle against Jiren from the sidelines and worries about her brother Android 17. After Android 17 wins the Tournament of Power, he uses the Super Dragon Balls to wish for all the erased universes to be restored. Android 18 comes to his side and asks about his own wishes and dreams. He tells her that it would be petty to make a wish for himself rather than bring back all the erased universes and their inhabitants, and he explains why he decided to make that wish. Later, Android 18 is seen talking to Android 17 on their cell phones. The two have finally reconciled their family relationship. Android 17's dream comes true when he gets to ride one of Bulma's cruise ships, lent by Vegeta because he is the winner of the Tournament of Power. Super Hero
Android 18 fights alongside the others to bring down the creature. She gets help from the whole team, including Gohan, Piccolo, and the two androids Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. Together, they manage to overcome Cell Max and emerge victorious. Peaceful World Saga

Power Source: Ki (All beings in Dragon Ball[2][3][4] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[5], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[6] block attacks that would otherwise[7] kill them from[8] raising their guard[9], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[10])
Attack Potency: Up to Metropolis level (Potency) (Her and Android 17 fought and defeated the Z-fighters including Super Saiyan Vegeta, Super Saiyan Trunks, Piccolo, and Tien Shinhan, making her far above the likes of Nappa who casually destroyed a city and stood within the blast without having any damage, and Raditz who can cause explosions dwarfing the mountains. Far stronger than their models from Future Trunk's timeline, who fought and killed Future Gohan), Far Higher with Self-Destruction (Her self-destructing sent fear to Semi-Perfect Cell). Varies: Skill with Strongest Charged Blast (Charged Blast have one focus all of their energy into one single point[11], putting the blasts power far beyond what their peak strength is[12], allowing them to destroy things they couldn't prior with their regular attacks[13], this also allows them to use charged attacks that can stop enemies far beyond their level, such as Tien Shinhan pushing back Semi-Perfect Cell with his Neo Ki-Ko-Ho[14], along with stopping an attack shot from Buu absorbed Gotenks[15]. Strongest charged blast can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[16], with blasts capable of[17] seriously damaging/destroying[18] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[19]. Charged Blast also rely heavily on emotional states for example Gohan not believing in himself[20] was having Cell overpower him in a beam clash[21]) | Up to Island level (Potency) (Kicked away a Tournament of Power Super Saiyan Blue Son Goku's kamehameha where Goku put even more power into it[22], making her Semi-Perfect Cell, who destroyed several islands with several blast). Durability: Up to Metropolis level | Up to Island level
Striking Strength: Up to Metropolis Class (Potency) | Up to Island Class (Potency)
Lifting Strength: Class 25 (Superior to Android Saga Super Saiyan Vegeta, who trained in 300 times gravity, where Vegeta is naturally 56 kg, making him 16,800 kg or 16.8 tons) | Class 50 (Is superior to Super Saiyan Buu Saga Son Goku, who could casually fight while carrying 40 tons)
Travel Speed: High Hypersonic (Superior to Saiyan Saga Goku with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds) | Massively Hypersonic (Superior to Buu Saga Super Saiyan Gotenks who flew around the earth a few dozen times in this time frame)
Attack Speed: High Hypersonic | Massively Hypersonic
Reaction Speed: High Hypersonic (Far beyond 22nd Budokai Son Goku, who could dodge a mouth blast from Tambourine, which he used to tag the flying nimbus where even post King Kai training Goku used the flying nimbus to make it to the saiyans implying it is at least comparable to his flight speed by then, with Goku being capable of traveling over a million of kilometers in two days which results in these speeds) | Massively Hypersonic
Stamina: Limitless (As an android created by Dr. Gero, she has access to an infinite energy supply)
Range: Standard Melee, Interstellar with Ki Attacks (Ki attacks can reach out of the planet and to other planets. All ki attacks should be comparable to Goku's kamehameha, which reached all the way to the sun)
Intelligence: Genius Intelligence (An android created by Dr. Gero which means it's most likely outfitted with various different battle strategies and the ability to analyze their opponents and find out their weaknesses)
Knowledge: Expert level
Standard Tactics: Android 18 will use hand to hand combat along with ki attacks.
Weaknesses
Q: What about the planetary feats in Dragon Ball?
A: Planetary feats are normally done through their strongest charged blast, where they can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[154], with blasts capable of[155] seriously damaging/destroying[156] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[157], though they themselves are never capable of leaving this unscathed.
Frieza throws a destroy the planet death ball attack but it doesn't destroy the planet. Goku then interestingly notes the reason the planet didn't blow up is because Frieza was too scared of getting caught in the blast[158] . Vegeta's final flash is noted it's going to destroy the planet and Perfect Cell, who is beyond Vegeta, couldn't tank the blast and had to dodge it last second or it would've killed him[159]. Goku's kamehameha was going to destroy the earth and Cell cannot tank this blast, needing to regenerate[160]. Semi-Perfect Cell explosion was consistently noted it was going to destroy the planet and Gohan and it killed Goku[161]. Ultimate Gohan dies to an attack that destroys the earth, his guard was up too since this was when he was fighting Super Buu[162]. Kid Buu shoots a blast trying to destroy the planet, with Vegeta noting he's going to take himself out with it if he lets it off[163]. In Dragon Ball GT, Great Ape Baby Vegeta shoots a super galick gun that he claims will destroy Earth, when Goku is hit by it, he is knocked out to the point that he can't move for a good while, Elder Kai and Shin later state that Baby is going to shoot another blast that will destroy the planet on, greatly injuring Baby if he's caught in the Blast and will kill everyone on the planet if done[164]. Frieza destroyed the entire earth, killing Vegeta in the process[165]. In the Dragon Ball Super Manga, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't need to hold anything back and can go all out because anything that happens to the Earth can be restored with Dende and the Dragon Balls. Yet, none of Goku's all out attacks destroy the planet but just heavily causes shockwaves around it[166]. Semi-Perfect Cell unleashes a several blast that destroys several islands Android 16 notes that the attacks are just strong enough to not kill Android 18[167].
In the fight of Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza, who is far stronger than his final form, Mecha Frieza immediately goes for his strongest attack, the Supernova. In the original Z anime King Kai even states this is ten times stronger than the power he used on Namek:
