Background

Vash the Stampede (ヴァッシュ・ザ・スタンピード) Vasshu za Sutanpīdo) is the main protagonist of the anime and manga series of Trigun. Vash is also known as The Humanoid Typhoon due to the destruction and chaos that often surrounds him. Wielding a huge nickel revolver, he travels from town to town to learn more and protect what his adoptive mother, Rem, treasured most: love and peace. He is initially discovered by Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, two Bernardelli Insurance Society representatives investigating claims made due to damages caused by the mysterious Humanoid Typhoon.

Vash consistently out skills opponents whilst using non lethal force, Vash was hunted by Eye of Michael members and the Gun-Ho-Guns and the members all analyze and predict every aspect of their opponents including body movement, skills, habits and breathing patterns. Vash easily dispatches members of these organizations as if they were nothing, can instantly deduce abilities and see through illusions spread through ten of kilometers made by nigh invisible wire. He is also able to count the number of gunshots multiple bounty hunters had shot, knowing all but one has ammo left, can figure out the mechanics of sensory hypnosis after seeing it once and bypass it, and can shoot thousands of rounds all through the same bullet hole and never miss, while avoid hitting anything vital. In under a hundredth of a second, Vash was able to perform much more calculations than a 200+ year old Plant. Plants are much superior to the humans of Trigun, who are able to create ships capable of space-time and intergalactic communication systems. Plants can understand the mechanisms of causality which even the advanced civilizations of Trigun cannot comprehend. Plants are also smart enough to understand the quantum mechanics and the mechanics of the creation and destruction of universality space-time structures. Independent Plants have shown the unique ability to regenerate from deadly wounds. Notable Techniques

• .45 Long Colt: Vash habitually carries a custom made .45 caliber silver or nickel-plated revolver, a classic six-shot double-action with a top break reloading mechanism that fires bullets which can reach orbit in seconds.
• Angel Arm: An extremely powerful weapon able to put a giant crater in the moon and could wipe the life off the Earth. Vash never chooses to use this though unless it is for non-attacking reasons.
• Cybernetic Machinegun Arm: A very powerful machine gun able to punch through solid steel with ease. It is a part of Vash's arm.
• Angel Wings: Automatic wings that react to attacks towards Vash.
• Black Hole Bullets: One of Vash's strongest attacks. These black holes can cover up to 300 feet, they bypass durability and move at such speeds that even Knives had a hard time comprehending them.
• Sub-Space Bullets: Another type of Ammunition Vash has at his disposal, these Sub-Space Bullet's provide Vash with a non-lethal alternative to his Black-Hole Bullets. These Bullets can grow large enough to BFR the roof of a massive building away, these Bullets send the opponent into a separate Space-Time Sub-Space, these Bullets have allowed Vash to BFR a self destructive Black-Hole that would destroy and create another universe into a separate Universe where it proceeded to destroy and recreate another universe.

Standard Tactics: Vash will usually rely on unorthodox means to defeat or incapacitate his opponent through non-lethal means unless he is either pushed passed his breaking point or realizes the threat his opponent serves.

Weaknesses: Is against killing unless he is left without a choice or bloodlusted. Continuous use of a Plant's powers will slowly cause their hair to darken and eventually die, although this doesn't really apply to Vash as he hardly uses his powers.
