My name is Grant. I dreamed I was turned into a ghost. Please take me with you. My family was killed by Dracula. I can help you a lot because I am very fast.
~ Grant to Trevor

You ain't seen one quick as me before.
~ Grant Danasty

Background

Grant Danasty was a young man who grew up in Wallachia during the 15th Century. Once an incredibly skilled thief and pirate captain, Grant was hit by tragedy when Count Dracula's curse over Europe came underway. Monsters ravaged Grant's land, killing his friends and family, and leaving only him alive. Influenced by the curse, Grant then turned into a mindless beast called Nasty Grant, who was sent to guard Dracula's Clock Tower.

Serving as the Clock Tower guard for quite a while, Grant was eventually put up against Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades. The team defeated Grant, reverting him back to his human form, and he joined them without hesitation. Grant would help the team defeat Lord Dracula in a climactic battle, along the way developing feelings for Sypha.

To his dismay, Sypha had shared feelings for Trevor, and the two married. Ashamed, Grant did not show up to the marriage, and hid himself away from his friends. Until one day, a mysterious man appeared in front of Grant, and he was pulled into a Time Rift. Although reluctant, Grant helped defeat the Time Reaper, although along the way he was forced to run into Trevor and Sypha once again.

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (Chakram Mastery; Grant is capable of using two chakrams in battle for a variety of different techniques and attacks[30]. Dagger Mastery; Grant can use throwing daggers against opponents with pinpoint accuracy[31]. Axe Mastery; Can throw an axe at an upward arc to damage anything that gets in its way[32]), Acrobatics (Grant is capable of jumping higher then even Trevor Belmont[33]), Surface Scaling (Grant is able to climb on surfaces[34]), Penetration Damage (Physical Penetration; Uses throwing daggers as a weapon, which can stab directly into an opponent[35]), Afterimage Creation (Moves so fast, he can create afterimages[36]), Non-Standard Interaction (Elemental Interaction; Can interact with creatures of the night made of fire[37]. Metaphysical Interaction; Can harm and kill spirits and ghost[38]), Energy Absorption (Grant can get hearts out of objects and enemies, where hearts are a measure of one's stored energy, thus one is absorbing energy when gaining hearts[39]), Curtain Fire (Directional) & Thread Manipulation (His ultimate has him controlling the threads of hundreds of daggers and throwing it all at the opponent[40]).

Resistance to Petrification (Can take hits from Medusa heads[41], who can turn one into stone upon contacting them[42]), Death Manipulation (Can take hits from Death and his scythes[43], who is noted to govern the fate of death[44], being noted to have the power to govern the end of all living things[45], and can use his scythes to kill abstractions such as distance and sound[46])

Superhuman Physical Characteristics (Even the smallest creatures of the night can destroy a bridge[47], one of Dracula's bats easily destroyed a stone ground block[48]), Intimidation (Creatures of the nights appearances can cause one to have their body's cells cry out in terror[49]), Immortality (Ageless; The biggest hindrance to humans when attempting to accomplish something being their limited lifespans, a limitation that cannot be overcome, however dwellers of the darkness do not apply to the laws of the human world, ignoring such limitations[50]. Immortal Metaphysical Aspect; Creatures of the Night can continue to exist even as a spirit and use their spirit form to form bodies out of inanimate material around them[51]), Acausality (Causality Immunity; All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[52]. The biggest hindrance to humans when attempting to accomplish something being their limited lifespans, a limitation that cannot be overcome, however dwellers of the darkness do not apply to the laws of the human world, ignoring such limitations[53]), Free Will (Creatures of the Night do not follow the hand of God and instead choose of their own free will[54]), Empowerment (Creatures of the night are empowered by the night[55], becoming stronger when it's night time[56]), Evolution (Creatures of chaos can inherit evil natures[57] awakening into stronger enemies with new abilities and less weaknesses[58]), Resurrection (Self-Resurrection; Creatures of chaos can be brought back to life from the power of hate[59]. This has also been shown with slain heads reviving as an angry wraith[60]), Regeneration (Mid-Godly overtime; Even the castle from Castlevania is a Creature of Chaos, [61] where they are always rebirth from Chaos with each rebirth, the creatures takes a new form[62], with this state being referred to as a "regeneration cycle"[63]), Invisibility (Creatures of Chaos possess a natural aura of darkness, which makes one unable to see those with an aura of darkness by the naked eye[64]), Time Manipulation (Passive; All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[65]), Darkness Manipulation & Subjective Reality (Creatures of chaos very existence causes dark powers to flow beyond the control of the Elgos' grimoires, due to them collecting documented information on Dracula and his castle. Causing their power to materialize in the real world in the form of monsters[66]. With the real world and world of grimoires being one and the same[67]), Text Manipulation & Plot Manipulation (Passive; Creatures of the night's dark powers allowed them to rewrite the Grimoires to greatly strengthen their dark powers[68]. It is noted by Lucy that the "vital soul" of a monster is the cause of the grimoire chaos[69]. Thier vital souls are causing the grimoires contents to be overwritten changing history to things such as Jonathan Morris is now at a disadvantage in battle[70], or Charlotte fading from existence due to them messing with the history of the Grimoires[71], Maria starting to fade because Richter's history is being rewritten[72], where if the books contents change the creatures magic will keep growing and eventually overflow into reality, causing the grimoire to fall into chaos and even more monsters materializing into the real world[73]. The text alterations also make the monsters stronger[74]. With the real world and world of grimoires being one and the same[75]), Law Manipulation (Creatures of Chaos can alter grimoires, which do not adhere to the laws of reality[76]), Power Modification (Creatures of the night alterations of the Grimoire can greatly limit the powers of those far stronger then them, such as Jonathan Morris' power being limited due to the alterations[77]. The Chaos of the Grimoire destabilized the magic of the others[78]).

Resistance to Ice Manipulation & Absolute Zero (All enemies in Castlevania III: Dracula's curse can eventually break out of being frozen from Sypha's ice magic[79]. Along with this to protect against ice attacks in series, one normally wears rings that help them resist against absolute zero[80]), Time Manipulation (All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[81]. With time in Castlevania being so potent that not even eternity can withstand time[82], along with even artificial life being subject to the laws of time[83]. Some creatures of chaos are immune to time stop, normally being boss level creatures[84]), Fate Manipulation (All immortal beings disrupt the flow of time according to Aeon[85], with fate being a truth wound by time[86])

  46. Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku Novel “I had said it before. I do not intend to bind the world with chaos.”
“…… If so, why did you take power away from the crack in the eclipse’s seal? If you just intend to imitate like a monkey, isn’t your own power enough?”
Those were the emotionless words of Death.
In response, Olrox laughed his bold answer.
“As I’ve said, I would equally gain control over the human world and the source of Dracula’s power, chaos. I do not intend to obey someone else’s mind aside from my own. That includes you who were born out of chaos.”
    “……”
“You should be glad though to know yourself. Just by stealing power, my shameful monotonous time is over…… Even before Alucard appeared, just because I showed up and declared war on him.”
Olrox’s voice was mixed with a tinge of thin delight. He respectfully bowed to Death who completely killed his emotions.
“I would end the reincarnation cycle of this demon castle. I who understood and was spun out of the stains of chaos, swear to rob that power with my hands. Now, yield.”
With Death’s reply, an explosive murderous intent rose.
Two bronze colored scythes much larger than usual appeared; it advanced to the space in between the two men with an intention to cut off Olrox’s head.
    Kill the distance-----
    Kill the sound-----
    Just, faster, soon, die.
It can be seen that the blades have certainly caught Olrox’s neck, but----- that is only an after image and the vampire is already at Death’s back.
    “……die.”
That was said by the enemy who called on his servants.
From the surrounding space, a group of purple bats rose, passed by Olrox’s arm with the speed of a bullet, attacking Death. However, Death did not show any gesture of avoiding them. He simply faced Olrox and sprayed out numerous scythes.
The bats and scythes cancelled each other out and the entire dance hall sparkled with blood."

A spectacled vampire hunter confirmed this as his duty.
In front of him is a [grotesque creature] whose dreadful power can be felt. The creature appears human but the instant he looked at it, all of his body’s cells cried out in terror.
“The timing is bad, church person.”
Whilst listening to the words said by the [grotesque creature], the young hunter kept on reminding himself.
-----I am …… I ought to be a vampire hunter."

Akumajo Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisoukyoku "Ever since the Middle Ages, every 100 years, this legendary castle would rise together with its master Count Dracula ----- And whenever it happens, it is said that a clan of vampire hunters will seal it. Several hundred years have passed with battles with the [dark lord] Dracula.
When suddenly, an end to it all has been foretold. 1999----- Thanks to the power of a clan in Japan, Dracula’s castle was sealed inside a [solar eclipse] to disappear forever.
However, in this world, there is no such thing as forever. [They] had understood that Dracula’s regeneration cycle ought to have ended. Indeed, people have prepared for this but will it still exist? The castle is the symbol of the chaos within humans and as long as people exist, it will not be completely sealed.
