Background

Born in Europe, 1072, Leon Belmont grew up in a time where legendary knights fought against heretics in the name of God. At a very young age, Leon was orphaned, and then was knighted at 16 years old. Leon eventually proved his swordsmanship skills by joining a company of knights; a company of which was viewed as being nearly invincible. Within that platoon was Leon's brother-in-arms and very close friend, Mathias Cronqvist. However, Mathias soon left the company of knights and was bedridden, after the death of his wife.

Nearly a year later, Mathias came to Leon bringing news that Leon's betrothed, Sara Trantoul, had been kidnapped by a powerful vampire, and was taken to a castle in the Eternal Night forest. Distraught, Leon gave up his sword to the church and renounced his position, before travelling into the forest. There, the Belmont found a man named Rinaldo Gandolfi; an old alchemist who lived alone in the woods. Walter gave Leon plenty of advice and entrusted him with the Whip of Alchemy.

After fighting his way through the castle and making his way to Walter, however, he discovered that the whip did not hurt the vampire whatsoever. Furthermore, when he finally saw Sara, she appeared to be completely unresponsive. Leon took Sara and left Walter's castle, bringing her back to Rinaldo. Unfortunately, all Leon discovered was that Walter had turned Sara into a vampire, and that it wouldn't be long before she gave into her instincts.

Seeing no other option but ending her life, Rinaldo devised a plan. Through fusing Sara's vampiric soul with the Whip of Alchemy, he could create a much more powerful spell that would be able to harm vampires such as Walter. Agreeing to do so, Leon bound Sara's soul to the whip, transforming it into the deadly Vampire Killer. With his new whip in hand, Leon ventured back into Walter's castle, and was successful in striking him down.

At the last moment, during Walter's defeat, his soul was extracted and given to Mathias, who stepped out of the shadows and revealed himself to Leon as the puppet master behind everything. Leon, completely refusing to believe that his friend would abandon humanity in order to become a vampire, watched as Mathias summoned his servant, Death, and vanished into the night. Infuriated, Leon swore that the Belmont Clan would hunt down Mathias forevermore, and devote their days to defeating monsters of the night.

After winning his battle against Death, Leon escaped Walter's crumbling castle and left the Eternal Knight forest. From there, he went on to establish the Belmont Clan of vampire killers, and would search for Mathias until his dying days. Eventually, Leon's descendant, Trevor Belmont, would finally track down Mathias (now known as Count Dracula,) and slay him for the first time.

The Time Reaper was going to destroy the entire Castlevania Timeline. The Time Reaper could also be defeated by people such as a young Sypha Belnades, who Leon should be far above)

Travel Speed: Superhuman (Was able to escape Walter's Castle by running from the top floor to the entrance, before the entire structure collapsed. The Wolf's Foot allows for Leon to run as fast as the average wolf)

Reaction Speed: FTL (Was able to outpace Medusa, who could produce beams from her eyes on several occasions; these beams were confirmed to be comprised of light. Should scale to Soma Cruz, who could outpace Paranoia; Paranoia can generate beams of energy from its hands, confirmed to be comprised of light. Scales to Trevor Belmont, who outpaced Nuculais, a being composed entirely of light, as well as Dracula, who generated a light beam. Defeating Death should put him about Count Olrox as well, who could generate a beam, which was confirmed to be light-based)

Durability: Complex Universal level (Could take hits from Death, who should be above the Time Reaper; the Time Reaper's power was going to destroy the Castlevania Timeline)

Stamina: Peak Human (Was able to run all the way through the Eternal Night forest, conquer Walter Bernhard's entire castle, along with beating several ancient and divine behemoths, without showing any signs of fatigue)

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (His swordsmanship was unmatched in his company of knights. Is also skilled in using whips, axes, and knives), Genius Intelligence, Blessed & Accelerated Development (Leon was granted the ability to use magic by Rinaldo Gandolfi; he can use this magic proficiently without prior knowledge of it), Empowerment (Rinaldo confirms that the Whip of Alchemy is not complete, but that Leon caused for it to strengthen to the point that Medusa thought it had reached its complete form), Extrasensory Perception (Could sense that Joachim Armster was a vampire), Non-Physical Interaction (Is able to harm Death), Immortality Negation (Type 7; Leon can kill the undead), Limited Resistance to Sleep Manipulation (Struggled, but could fight off Walter Bernhard's influence to sleep), Limited Resistance to Petrification (Leon can break out of Medusa's petrification after a few seconds, which was shown to be permanent)

• Whip of Alchemy: A whip forged by and formerly wielded by Rinaldo Gandolfi, using alchemy learned from the Cronqvist Family's alchemic books.
• Whip of Flames: The Whip of Alchemy infused with the element of fire.
• Whip of Ice: The Whip of Alchemy infused with the element of ice.
• Whip of Lightning: The Whip of Alchemy infused with the element of lightning.
• Vampire Killer: The complete form of the Whip of Alchemy, infused with the soul of Sara Trantoul. It can slay anything related to the vampires. This whip would be passed down to the rest of the Belmont Clan, and used to slay Dracula countless times.

Sub-Weapons

• Axe: An axe made with silver, which Leon uses to throw at his enemies.
• Cross: This is a cross that has been infused with a prayer. Two crosses will circle Leon, providing protection to him.
• Crystal: A crystal housing holy power, which will explode on enemies much like a bomb would.
• Holy Water: A jar of water, which has been purified at the church. This water erupts into a pillar flames when released from its container.
• Knife: This knife was made from silver, and can be thrown at enemies. This was the only weapon Leon had when he entered the Eternal Night forest.
• Sword: A longsword Leon was given when he became a knight, which he is incredibly proficient with. He was forced to return his blade to the church before starting his journey.

Clothing

Earth Plate: Armor plating blessed by the earth. It reduces all damage received by 5%.

Meteor Plate: A starlight plate that reduces enemy damage by 10%.

Moonlight Plate: A beautiful plate of armor that reduces enemy damage by 20%.

Solar Plate: Leon's best plate of armor, which reduces all damage received by 30%.

Anti-Poison Ring: A green ring that protects Leon by nullifying 75% of poison damage.

Arctic Ring: A blue ring that increases resistances to ice attacks.

Cleric's Ring: A purple ring that protects Leon by nullifying 75% of a curse.

Perseus's Ring: A grey ring that reduces the chances of petrification by 75%.

Ring of Fire: A red ring that increases resistances to fire attacks.

Ring of Thunder: A yellow ring that increases resistances to electric attacks.

• Magnetic Necklace: A necklace that draws in metal (specifically coins) scattered around. It also improves blood circulation.
• Megingjord: The less health Leon has when wearing this, the more power he outputs on enemies.
• Sacrificial Doll: When Leon is defeated, this doll will keep him alive and take his place in death.

Intelligence: Genius in combat (Leon was second to none in his company of knights the moment he joined, and was said to have made the company invincible. He was able to defeat Joachim Armster, and eventually defeat Walter Bernhard, on his first day of ever encountering vampires)
