Conker the King intro speech
So, here I am, King. King of all the land. Who'd have thought that? Huh, not me. I guess you know who these guys are now, because I certainly do. I don't wanna know them. And yup, I may be king, I have all the money in the world and all the land, and all that stuff. But you know, I don't really think I want it. I just wanna go home, with Berri, and, I don't know, have a bottle of beer. Hmmm. It's not gonna happen. It's true what they say, "The grass is always greener, and you don't really know what it is you have, until it's gone, gone, gone."

Background

Conker the Squirrel is a red squirrel and the main protagonist of the Conker series. His first appearance was in the Nintendo 64 game Diddy Kong Racing, where he was one of the main playable characters. He later got his own game on the Game Boy Color known as Conker's Pocket Tales, which was a game geared toward a younger audience, originally planned for the Nintendo 64. His first 3D adventure was the Nintendo 64 game Conker's Bad Fur Day, followed by its Xbox remake Conker: Live and Reloaded, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live and Reloaded were different from Conker's Pocket Tales because they had gotten an M rating from the ESRB for Violence, Blood and Gore, Sexual Themes, Alcoholic and Drug Reference, and Strong Language. It is unknown if the information on appearance and personality are on other websites and everything else.

General Information

Name: Conker the Squirrel

Origin: Conker’s Pocket Tales

Sex: Male

Age: 21

Classification: Red-Colored Squirrel

Species: Squirrel

Occupation: King of all the land

Status: Alive

Alignment: Initially Neutral Good (In the more wholesome kid friendly games like Conker's pocket tales, Conker was just a nice squirrel that went on a journey to save his friend Berri after she got captured), Chaotic Neutral in Conker's Bad Fur Day (Conker grew far more apathetic, only helping people if he gets something in return, and if he felt he was cheated on the deal he'd indirectly get the person killed, has killed the entire caveman society in the "Uga Buga" chapter, and is generally mean-spirited)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Acrobatics (Can naturally do platforming techniques and spin around while jumping. Can do a flip that reaches him over to the far side of another pillar), Stealth Mastery (Can sneak around the Tediz), Vehicular Mastery (Could ride in a speedboat and defeat the Evil Acorn in a race), Weapon Mastery (Unique Weapons, Firearm Mastery & Blade Mastery; Can skillfully use his slingshot in combat, can skillfully use throwing knives, able to shoot a flamethrower and burn enemies while balancing himself. Equipped with a shotgun, that he can aim with, can fire with a crossbow, can dual wield pistols, can shoot off and fire a rocket launcher), Breaking the Fourth Wall (Conker is fully aware of the fact that he is a video game character, to the point that he will tell the player how to skip cutscenes, express his thoughts to them. Is able to hear and acknowledge scene music playing, is aware of and acknowledged the prologue that takes place in the future where he is king stating he’ll be king due to the prologue. Is aware of the timer on the screen. Thought the windmill would be the final level. Could see the money on the screen. Called the designers out on padding out the play time. In the remake he is aware of events that were supposed to happen in the original that the designers changed up), Possible Accelerated Development (Conker can read a manual that deals with more complex mechanics and after reading it sees it as simple), Sheer Will (Can give himself confidence pills to allow him to do things he didn’t know how to do previously, such as dive underwater), Cartoon Physics (Mid Potency; Conker on many occasions distributes cartoon physics, such as comical enlargement of his eyes), Alternate Replacements (Conker can have a new body created in the afterlife even after his old body has very few pieces remaining such as just his eyes due to Gregg the Grim Reaper. This is further shown during a section in the game where if Conker gets cut into pieces underwater one can see his past bodies, even after a game over. Gregg will also give Conker a new body even through methods that don't kill him but merely incapacitate him as shown in one of the game overs where he's alive), Resurrection (Conker can have a new body created in the afterlife even after his old body has very few pieces remaining such as just his eyes due to Gregg. This is further shown during a section in the game where if Conker gets cut into pieces underwater one can see his past bodies, even after a game over), Regeneration (Mid with Cartoon Physics; Can regenerate from being fully crushed), Aquatic Breathing (Gains a special mask that allows him to breathe underwater), Afterimage Creation (Moved so fast he had afterimages), Precognition (Destiny Perception; Is aware of and acknowledged the prologue that takes place in the future where he is king stating he’ll be king due to the prologue), Clairvoyance (Stated he “knows everything” which while hyperbolic in nature is referring to him being the narrator of the story allowing him to essentially know all the story elements), Time Manipulation & Save and Load (Conker is fully aware of the fact that he is a video game character, with the ending being based off the game locking up, he is fully aware of the fact of a player controlling him in cutscenes, this should thus make "games" {save files} canon, which allows the Player to go to different save files or go back to undo a mistake. It is also noted that Conker will be king at the end of the game, making the ability for the player to continue from Conker's game overs canon), Plot Manipulation (Plot Armor; When Conker is in a pinch a context sensitive button will appear giving him just the item he needs in a moment in time. Context sensitive areas don’t require a b button plaque to be used but can just appear whenever Conker isn’t equipped properly for a situation. Can get the music person to give him a different song to set a scene. Can get the software engineer to help him), Dimensional Storage (With context sensitive areas Conker can pull out random objects from his nonexistent pockets, such as dynamite, a gas mask, bricks, salt, a watch, guns, a flamethrower, throwing knives, crossbow, and a rocket launcher), Limited Healing (Has a pill that lets him instantly get over hangovers, Conker can eat chocolate to heal himself), Body Control & Limited Hovering (Able to spin around his tail fast enough to let him momentarily hover in the air), Explosion Manipulation (With dynamite), Limited Water Manipulation (When drunk Conker can pee for a long period of time causing him to dull out beings on fire), Transformation (Shapeshifting; Can transform into an anvil), Mind Manipulation (Can use his watch for hypnotism), Fire Manipulation (Can pull out a flamethrower to burn enemies), Perception Manipulation (Can slow down his perceptions to see bullets move completely slow and people as still. When Conker gets drunk he views everything as slower).

Resistance to Poison Manipulation (Has a gas mask equipped), Acid Manipulation (Can touch acid and will only take damage after a little bit rather then burn in it), Disease Manipulation & Zombification (Can be bitten by a zombie without turning), Time Stop & Plot Manipulation (Narrative Manipulation & Story Manipulation, Author Authority; The entire game locked up, freezing everything, yet Conker was completely unaffected by it and could move around)

Equipment

  • Frying Pan: The Frying Pan is a weapon used by Conker throughout Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker's Big Reunion, as well as for a small portion of Conker: Live and Reloaded. In Conker's Bad Fur Day, the frying pan is Conker's main weapon. Simply pressing the B Button will make Conker swipe the frying pan in front of him. The look of the frying pan is like any other; however, it is stronger than it looks as it is able to knock down and/or stun many characters. Some of these characters can be carried after being hit, and they must be taken to another place to progress in the game. However, the Frying Pan does not work on everyone. The frying pan is also part of some cutscenes, such as when Conker uses it to knock The Big Big Guy's balls off with ease, after the final attack is activated. In Conker: Live & Reloaded, the frying pan has a minor role in the game. Conker does start off with the frying pan as a weapon, but only for the first chapter. Unlike last time, Conker finds it on a rack with a smaller sized frying pan, two different sized baseball bats, and a meat cleaver. You only defeat 3 Clang Goblings with it. When you whack The Grotesque, he doesn't fall off, and when asked why by Conker, he states that the designer decided to change the level a bit. Luckily, Conker also picked up the Baseball Bat and knocked him out again. From then on, the baseball bat is the main weapon for most of the game. The same cutscene after the battle with The Big Big Guy returns, with Conker using the frying pan once and then switching to his hands. The frying pan returns in the Project Spark DLC, Conker's Big Reunion, as Conker's main weapon. Pressing the B Button will cause Conker to equip it, then pressing the Right Trigger after would cause Conker to swing and attack with it.
  • Spiked Bat: The Spiked Bat is a major weapon in Conker: Live & Reloaded. It serves as a replacement for the Frying Pan. The baseball bat is first seen in the Hungover chapter when the Grotesque reveals that the designer changed the weapon to a baseball bat instead of the Frying Pan. Conker uses the Baseball Bat to knock him off the bridge. Conker then goes on to use it in the entire game except for the Hungover Chapter and the Boiler's boss fight. Weaso also proceeded to use it to beat Paulie to death, like in the original game.

  • Bazooka: Bazooka is a weapon found in Conker's Bad Fur Day in the single and multiplayer of the game. It can be used in single player when you come across a context- sensitive pad. In multiplayer, it is considered one of the best weapons because it can kill someone with one shot. The downside is that players walk slowly with it. The Bazooka has two default fire modes, plus an additional upgraded mode. The standard mode simply fires a rocket in a straight line, detonating on impact. The secondary "Fire and forget" mode fires an anti-aircraft missile that can lock on to aircraft and reloads quickly. The upgraded guided mode allows the user to use the built-in camera to manually guide the projectile to its target. The player is vulnerable while controlling the rocket, however, and it takes much longer to reload.
  • Blowtorch: The Blowtorch is a context-sensitive item found in Conker's Bad Fur Day and its remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded. Conker uses it to kill the bats in Barn Boys and Bat's Tower.
  • Bomb: Bombs are explosive weapons in the multiplayer and single player parts of the Conker series. In the chapter Uga Buga, Don Weaso tells you to kill the cavemen with the bomb. If you take damage while holding it, the bomb will explode; be careful with it. If you die with it, you will start from where you began.
  • Chainsaw: The ever-coveted Chainsaw is one of the weapons usable in Multi mode of Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live & Reloaded, and the best cutting weapon. It is a long chainsaw with a yellow handle, and is one of the few one-hit-kill weapons, however the player has to be right in front of an enemy to kill them. When used with Z, the character swings the chainsaw from side to side, chopping and slicing anyone in front of them. In the opening for Conker's Bad Fur Day, Conker uses a chainsaw to cut up the Nintendo 64 logo in half, then shoves it aside with the chainsaw while saying "Stupid logo!", then throws the chainsaw away and takes out a Rareware logo. During the Rare Xbox Commercial now owning the rights to Rare, Conker was seen using the chainsaw to carve the XBOX logo to spell out "rare". When he met Kameo, Conker tossed the chainsaw aside as it inflicted pain upon Banjo, due to falling in love. Toward the end of the Project Spark trailer, Conker appears out of nowhere and cuts the title in half, then jumps up and says, "I couldn't resist." Then, the blue orb of light puts the title back together. Unlike the previous two sequences, Conker doesn't toss the chainsaw aside.
  • Confidence Pills: Confidence Pills are special Context-Sensitive items. They unlock Conker's ability to fully swim. The confidence pills are gained inside the sewers of Poo Cabin after it is flooded, because Conker cannot swim (and uses yellow floaties). He must find a way to exit, when Conker sees a B Pad he uses it to pull out confidence pills, he then drinks them in a glass of milk, his floaties magically disperse and he then gains confidence and the ability to fully swim underwater.
  • Crossbow: The Crossbows are ranged weapons that appear in multi and story mode for Conker's Bad Fur Day. In Spooky, Conker uses one to kill the bats when he is on the B pad. The crossbow is easy to aim with. The speed of the crossbow is quite slow, but the range does go far.
  • Dual SMGs: Also known as "SMG" and "Uzis" for some reason, submachine guns are great for newcomers, as they have a fast rate of fire and are fairly easy to aim. Disadvantages include low damage and low range. Machine guns appear in the single player chapter, It's War !, Heist, and the multiplayer mode. Submachine Guns reappear in Conker's Big Reunion, as context-sensitive items used to defeat enemies.
  • Dynamite: Conker has sticks of dynamite on hand that he uses to blow up obstacles in his path, such as large boulders blocking an entryway.
  • Flamethrower: The Flamethrower is a weapon in the multiplayer of Conker's Bad Fur Day. It sets enemies on fire. While the enemies are on fire, they have little control over their player, as they run around while they are on fire. If the enemies run into the any other player that isn't on fire, they will also set on fire.
  • Gas Mask: A Gas Mask is an item in Multi mode in Conker's Bad Fur Day. In the Total War level, the Gas Mask is only available when someone brings the enemy canister to the central room of the tunnels. It is used to avoid the deadly toxic gas released by the canister. A gas mask can be attained from a normally sealed closet in the main area of either base. After using one, you will need to rearm with a weapon of choice. In Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live and Reloaded, Conker has a gas mask with him, which he uses to avoid the stench while in Poo Mountain and the Poo Cabin. In Live And Reloaded, Conker's gas mask is changed to black instead of green.
  • Helmet: Helmet is a context-sensitive item that appears in Conker's Bad Fur Day and its remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded. It allows Conker to see in dark places underwater in the Bat's Tower chapter. It is a helmet with a light and battery attached to it. It is found in the Clang's Lair section of the game.
  • Katana: The Katana is a cutting weapon used in the Multi mode of Conker's Bad Fur Day. It is the second best cutting weapon in Multi in terms of actual cutting, the first being the chainsaw, as the katana also makes you invisible on the radar, and is usually much easier to acquire. It acts much like a sword, and is used to perform head-chops, much like the Sabre. When the player is wielding the katana and jumps with it, the character will jump in a front flip motion and (sometimes) a Japanese-sounding yell. When attacking with the katana, the character thrusts the sword forward into the victim's head, while making the Japanese-sounding yell mentioned before. Another press of the Z Button will cause the character to slice the victim's head off. Conker himself uses the katana in story mode to kill Heinrich.
  • Revolver: The Revolver is a weapon in the Multi mode of Conker's Bad Fur Day. It is a one-handed weapon that resembles a pistol. It is considered one of the best weapons due to its scope and one-shot-kill ability. It's very similar to the Sniper Rifle, but this one is white, while the sniper rifle is black; also, the revolver is an one-shot-kill weapon, but it lacks the very long range an sniper rifle can reach.
  • Rifle: The Rifle is an M16 style weapon found in Multiplayer in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Although it has slow reloading, it can shoot as fast as you can press the Z button.
  • Seltzer Tablets: Seltzer tablets are context-sensitive items that appear in Conker's Bad Fur Day and its remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded. They make Conker feel better when he is hungover. The seltzer tablets can be found inside Rock Solid and Bat's Tower when Conker is suffering a major hangover.
  • Shotgun: The Shotgun is a weapon that first appeared in Conker's Bad Fur Day and later in Conker: Live & Reloaded. In Conker's Bad Fur Day, the Shotgun is given to Conker by Gregg in the game's Spooky chapter. After Gregg learns that Conker wants to go to his ancestor's mansion, he says that Conker would need the shotgun in order to kill the "bloody undead" that will get in his way. When Conker enters the cemetery, a horde of zombies unearth themselves from their graves and advance to eat Conker. Luckily, with Gregg's shotgun, Conker can blow off the heads of the zombies. The shotgun is later used inside Count Batula's Mansion, where more zombies await Conker. In the Multi mode, the shotgun is a pick-up weapon. When fired from a moderate distance, the shotgun makes its target fly back, but when fired from a very short distance, the upper half of the target's body will explode, causing a one-shot kill, making it one of the best weapons in Multi. The shotgun can be found in Temple and Bunker, in Deathmatch. In Conker: Live & Reloaded, the shotgun is used for the same purpose as Bad Fur Day, being a remake of the original game. However, due to the dual-control setup, it's much easier to aim with the shotgun, and the player is able to aim while moving, as apposed to the stop-and-aim function in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Conker can also jump while wielding it, making it easier to escape the zombies. He also notably runs much faster while holding it than he did in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Strangely, the shotgun's appearance is different than in Conker's Bad Fur Day, now resembling a Blunderbuss, a single-barreled, trumpet-shaped shotgun variant.
  • Slingshot: The Slingshot is a weapon that Conker uses in Conker's Pocket Tales, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Conker: Live & Reloaded. In Conker's Pocket Tales, Conker finds the Slingshot early on in the game in Willow Woods. Before obtaining the item, Conker's only attacks are his slow Punch attack, and his Stomp. After meeting with the Forest Guardian, Conker receives a Key which opens up the door to the old Windmill. Inside, Conker finds this weapon on the second floor. With the slingshot equipped, Conker has a new effective way of damaging his enemies. The slingshot can be used with the B Button, replacing his Punch attack, and requires Conkers to be used as ammunition. When a conker is shot from the slingshot, it flies in a straight path, and will disappear when it collides with either a solid object, or, in most cases, an enemy. Once Conker has run out of conkers, the slingshot will not be usable. Conker then resorts back to his punch attack if the B button is pressed. Conker also appears holding the Slingshot on the boxart. In Conker's Bad Fur Day and its remake, Conker: Live and Reloaded, a similar item called the Catapult appears in various chapters throughout the game. Conker is able to use the item when he stands on a Context-Sensitive Pad, and can again fire conkers in a 3D environment, with either the Z Button in Bad Fur Day, or the Right Trigger in Live and Reloaded. Although Conker can only use the catapult on the context-Sensitive pad, he has an unlimited supply of conkers. Much later in the game, the It's War chapter features special kinds of "Fire Conkers", which are flaming Conker nuts. Their only use is to light the fuse of the TNT Imp's TNT barrel.
  • Sniper Rifle: The Sniper Rifle is a Multiplayer only weapon in Conker's Bad Fur Day. It is a single shot rifle that excels in long ranged combat for the sole purpose of picking out targets beyond their own weapon's effective range. This weapon is often found at overlooks above large spaces with no cover. It is equipped with a scope that assists with aiming, and has the ability to instantly kill an enemy with a scoped headshot. When holding down the fire button, a laser sight will appear at whatever the player is aiming at until they release the button to fire.
  • Stopwatch: A stopwatch used for telling time and hypnotizing targets.
  • Thompson: Thompson is a multi weapon found in Conker's Bad Fur Day. It is only found in the Heist and the Deathmatch map based off of it. It does twice the damage of an Uzi and has unlimited ammo, but it has poor aiming because as long as you fire, the weapon slowly points toward the roof.
  • Throwing Knives: One of Conker's B weapons, Throwing Knives are used to cut down anything cuttable such as ropes or wires. In the Barn Boys chapter of Conker's Bad Fur Day, Conker uses throwing knives to cut the noose which holds up Franky by his "neck". Later on in the Barn Boys chapter, the throwing knives are used to cut electric wires down before the rising waters reach them, which would electrify Conker. Throwing Knives are weapons that can be used in Multi mode of Conker's Bad Fur Day. They are identical to the throwing knives used in the game, however you can move and jump with them. When thrown, the knives home in on the nearest vulnerable body, and 95% of the time the knives hit your target's head, which is a one-hit-kill.
  • Toilet Paper: Toilet Paper is a Context Sensitive weapon in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live and Reloaded. The item only appears in the Sloprano Chapter, where Conker uses it against the Great Mighty Poo. Conker gains access to the weapon when standing on one of three Context-Sensitive Pads located around the arena. The pads can be activated in any order, as the boss moves frequently. Conker is required to throw them into the Boss's mouth to damage him. The pads are used up once enough damage has been done to the Boss, as he covers them with feces.

Notable Techniques

  • Anvil: Anvil is a transformation that Conker can make when he is on a B pad. When used, Conker turns on a Anvil and can smash things on the ground. It is possible in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live & Reloaded. It is used to open the door that is in the Poo Cabin It is also used to open the doors that had money in it in Barn Boys. In Uga Buga, it's used to make the giant caveman statue head go down. It's last used on It's War chapter to make some bridges down.
  • Urine: Urine is an ability performed by Conker in Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live & Reloaded that doesn't happen that much in the series. In Bat's Tower, Conker must drink beer urinate on the Fire Imps. In Uga Buga, Conker must urinate at the rock monsters in Rock Solid. In the Bunker restroom, urine is the only weapon available to Conker.

Other

Standard Tactics: Conker’s form of combat is relying on the context sensitive prompt, which gives him the item or weapon he needs for the situation.

Weaknesses: Conker is an alcoholic and while drunk he can get a hangover extremely fast, greatly reducing his movement, reactions, and strength. However in Conker’s Reunion he seems to have gained the ability to see everything slowed while drunk. In the Mech Suit his movements are more limited make him unable to fly with his tail.
