“ | Rip... and... tear! The demons... they are everywhere. Must... kill them all! | „ |
“ | In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Umbral Plains seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him... the Doom Slayer. | „ |
~ The Slayer's Testament |
“ | All has fallen. If the Slayer does live, let him carry our vengeance forward. If he persists, let him wreak violence on those who have wronged us. May the blood of his sword never dry, may his war never end until the guilty have been punished, and may this evil never again spread its shadow over another world. | „ |
~ Book of Kings |
Background
The Doom Slayer is the primary protagonist and main character of the DOOM series. He is intended to be the latest iteration and continuation of the classic Doom Marine who is the protagonist for most of the series.
Powers and Stats
Tier: 9-A, up to High 8-C with BFG-9000, Low 7-C with Bloodthirsty Scream, 7-B to 7-A with Unmaker, 6-A to High 6-A with Crucible | 6-A to High 6-A
Name: Doomguy, Doom Marine, Doom Slayer, DOOM, Right Hand of Doom, The Outlander, The Time Walker, The Beast, The Destroyer
Origin: Doom
Gender: Male
Age: Adult (Pre-Crusade) - Ancient (Mid-Post Crusade) | Ancient
Classification: Human Marine, Ancient Human Warrior | Right Hand of Doom
Attack Potency: Small Building level (He can kill Imps. He scales to the Sentinels, which can fight Hell Knights and Prowlers. He's superior to Bitterman and The Ranger in combat by far), up to Large Building level (The BFG-9000 does 4x to 20x more damage than the Berserk Pack. The Berserk Pack makes Doomguy 10x stronger, allowing him to oneshot himself), Small Town level with Bloodthirsty Scream (He shattered a teleportation maze), City level to Mountain level with Unmaker (The Unmaker destroys the Mother of All Demons), Continent level+ to Multi-Continent level with Crucible (The Crucible can kill Titans and Ancestrals. Titans are this powerful and Ancestrals are equal to them, if not stronger, and they can tear the land of Argent D'Nur apart by moving) | Continent level+ to Multi-Continent level (He one-shot the Hell Priests. Each Hell Priest sustained part of Earth's consumption across continents. He killed the Gladiator, whereas the Gladiator is the guardian of Deag Grav and also had to be killed to stop Earth's consumption. He killed the Titan, which is this powerful. Titans are also comparable to Ancestrals, which tore apart the land of Argent D'Nur by moving. He broke some chains that Titans couldn't. The Elemental Wraiths are gods whereas the Ancestrals are not, and they brought life to Argent D'Nur, creating its biosphere. He is also a god just as the Elemental Wraiths. He killed the Khan Maykr, who is also a god like the Elemental Wraiths. He mutilated the Icon of Sin into submission, whereas it was a Titan, was going to devastate Earth, and was out of the Khan Maykr's control)
Attack Potency: Small Building level (He can kill Imps. He scales to The Ranger and Bitterman), City level to Mountain level with Unmaker (It destroys the Mother of All Demons) | Small Building level (He has received additional training from Sentinels) | High Macroverse level+ (He imploded a multiverse containing Hell and Urdak dimensions. He was unaffected by reality being fragmented. He killed the Icon of Sin and Khan Maykr. He's implied to be a Primeval, whereas another Primeval corrupted all of Hell)
Dimensionality: 3-D | 3-D | 3-D
Travel Speed: Relativistic to Relativistic+ (He scales to Imps, The Ranger and Bitterman. He dodged a Cyberdemon laser) | Relativistic to Relativistic+ | Extra-Temporal (He is called a time walker and has fought through time. Maykrs can move through time and space. He's implied to be a Primeval, whereas another Primeval was comparable to The Father)
Combat Speed: FTL | FTL | Extra-Temporal
Reaction Speed: FTL | FTL | Extra-Temporal
Lifting Strength: Unknown | Unknown | Class M (He scales above the Titan)
Striking Strength: Small Building Class | Small Building Class | High Macroversal+
Durability: Small Building Level (When Sentinels knock him down he gets back up just fine) | Small Building level | High Macroverse level+
Stamina: Very High (He fought off a demonic invasion on Phobos, destroyed the Icon of Sin so humans could flee Earth, fought in the Arena Eternal, stopped the Mother of All Demons' invasion and went to Hell to permanently fight against demonkind for all eternity so that they might never rise again. He did all of this with little to no rest in between, but he was fatigued by it. His will alone let him push past death, wounds, fatigue and illness) | Very High | Limitless (His aggression and capabilities transcend demons', whereas they have limitless aggression and never grow tired)
Range: Standard melee range, Extended melee range (Chainsaw, Crucible), Hundreds of meters to Kilometers (Mainline Firearms), Tens of Meters to Hundreds of Meters to Kilometers (Quake 3 Weapons) | Standard melee range, Extended melee range (Chainsaw, Crucible), Hundreds of Meters to Kilometers (Firearms) | Standard melee range, Extended melee range (Chainsaw, Crucible), Several meters to Tens of meters (Equipment Launcher), Hundreds of Meters to Kilometers (Firearms)
Standard Equipment: | Crucible, Ballista
Intelligence: Genius (He is far more skilled than Bitterman and The Ranger. He has fought off multiple Hell invasions and crusaded Hell on his own for millenia, stopping all of demonkind from rising up single-handedly)
Weaknesses: He's overly aggressive and mainly uses what does the most damage. | He has to restock resources by killing enemies or finding pickups.
Key: Doomguy | Doomguy (Sentinel Training) | Doom Slayer
Note: Eternal Life After Death is essentially the in-lore reason for why beings in Doom respawn, and of course it relates to biblical natures. Even when the Doom Slayer metaphysically destroys the Khan Maykr, a being already metaphysically non-existent (to an extent), enemies like the Maykrs can come back after his death. Because everyone in the verse pulls from the same form of Regeneration, that same regenerative potency would apply to him.
