Section One: Official Sega Translation
Time Eater scaling
Gonna get the most controversial one out of the way. Time Eater is not 2-C, its "feat" of destroying space and time only affects the past. This is proven by the fact that the modern timeline is literally unaffected by the Time Eater's time holes which are what cause the past to be lifeless. Even if this was an AP feat, which it isn't under our standards for 2-C, it wouldn't even scale to the Time Eater physically.
Power of the Stars
In Sonic Rush Adventure, Super Sonic and Burning Blaze battled a Power of the Stars-amped Egg Wizard. The first issue is that this isn't even a feat of attack potency, and is more akin to quantum physics and space-time manipulation. So being amped by the Power of the Stars would literally grant no physical tier two amplification. Even if it did, Sonic and Blaze were no match without using a special amplification from both the Chaos Emeralds and the Sol Emeralds at once to match it.
Solaris Scaling
Oddly enough, I saved this for last. In short, Sonic and co canonically can't harm Solaris' without attacking his consciousness as it was literally impossible otherwise. And given we have rings absorbing attacks for the user(s) + invulnerability for the Super Forms, durability scaling is irrelevant.
Tier 5 Super Sonic and Chaos Emeralds

Anti-feats
Chaos with all seven Chaos Emeralds was going to destroy the world. Said emeralds were left completely drained of their power before Sonic and co restored them to fight Chaos. Given Chaos did this exact feat in the past, it's likely it was a surface wipe, which gets multi-continental; probably one of the lowest showings of power for the Chaos Emeralds, although this was with negative chaos energy.
The Eclipse Cannon was designed to destroy the planet with the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds. It took six Chaos Emeralds to destroy a portion of the moon which was a simple showing to scare humanity.
NOTE: I am not going off of the planetary calculation done for the moon feat due to our kinetic energy revisions.
It was directly stated by Dr.Gerald that all seven Chaos Emeralds could destroy the planet, and we see later that feats like these are done with most of the Chaos Emerald's power.
In Sonic Advance 3, Eggman used the Chaos Emeralds to split the planet into seven parts, and Sonic and co needed all seven to repair Eggman's damage. Because the english translation was so vague, we took a look through reddit and found a translation of the Japanese manual that said the same thing.
It took the combined effort of all seven Chaos Emeralds to crack the planet (Huh, deja vu) and unleash Dark Gaia from his slumber, leaving the Chaos Emeralds completely drained and needing to recharge.
Furthermore, once Sonic recharged all seven Chaos Emeralds, he barely beat a final form Dark Gaia, with the help of Chip/Light Gaia, who was directly stated to be planetary in power.
Given it took seven Chaos Emeralds to perform this feat, this completely contradicts the calculation for a single Chaos Emerald restoring a continent, so even if we did scale base cast to a single Chaos Emerald, they wouldn't be 5-A.
Section Two: Fansub Translation
For context as to why this subsection exists, the difference between American Sonic and Japanese Sonic is pretty big. So big in fact that Dr.Robotnik was never even called Eggman in the Japanese text. so this will address retranslated cutscenes and manuals.
Time Eater Scaling
Even if you so far disagree with the Time Eater scaling proposed above, the japanese translations further supports tier two being invalid.
Chaos Scaling
the context for Chaos' pre-fight dialogue stays identical, including Chaos drawing from the negative energy of the Chaos Emeralds.
The Eclipse Cannon
Like above, the context remains the same in regards to all seven Chaos Emeralds needing to be used to destroy the planet. Furthermore, six Chaos Emeralds being used to power the Eclipse Cannon to perform a multi-continental feat is still present. This confirms the last CRT's arguments about "unlimited power" referring to AP rather than energy.
NOTE: I'm aware the cutscene said "pierce stars". Take note that "star" and "planet" are interchangeable in Japan, thus planet is what we are taking in this context, as it fits the narrative more.
Dark Gaia
Dark Gaia at full power being a planetary threat remains the same in the original text. Same goes for the emeralds needing to be recharged.
