...So that's why... I seem to recall... The G... Gear Project... Long, long ago... ...!?... That's right... Heh heh. H... How could I have forgotten you? If only if we could have talked one last time... Just the three of us...
Evil...? How dare you call me evil!? ...I fight for my own existence. No more, no less... .... ...Look at my body. I was created by humans to kill humans. ...I'm a weapon. Yet, the same humans that created me never thought about mind, or soul. I'd have been used as a tool... and if I refused, I'd have been dismantled! Ask yourself... Can you truly blame me? I was born into this world as a slave... And now you're here to destroy me. I know humans loathe me violently... and always will. I could do nothing but live on, if for no other reason than to scorn my creators! But what do you think I've been living FOR? My duty. My assigned role! I was created to kill, and so I do. It's justice!
Justice is a major antagonist in the Guilty Gear series. Created by That Man, Justice is the first "complete" Gear with free will and with the power to control all of her own kind. She was the instigator of the Crusades, a hundred-year war against humanity, until she was finally sealed by the Sacred Order of Holy Knights.
In 2180, the United Nations decides to reform the Holy Order, fearing for Justice's revival, and hosts the Second Holy Order Selection Tournament—a farce orchestrated by the Conclave to take control of Justice. During the event, Justice is freed from her prison by Testament thanks to the blood shed druing the matches. She immediately fights the contestants, plus Baiken, until she is ultimately destroyed by Sol Badguy. As she dies, she seems to regain her memories and wishes that the three of them could have talked one last time. It is unclear whether or not Sol actually realizes that Justice is Aria, but he vows revenge on That Man for everything he has done.
Alignment:Lawful Evil (Justice is a weapon of mass destruction, tasked to wipe out humanity by the Universal Will. Justice complies to this in order to not be destroyed for "malfunctioning")
Stamina:Limitless (Is a robot that is fueled to destroyed all of mankind nonstop)
Range:Extended Melee, Kilometers with attacks, Low Multiversal with Magic (Stems from the Backyard, an alternate dimension that controls all of magic), Absolute World and Information Flares (Merges the Backyard with the universe)
* Valkyrie Arc: Justice grabs the opponent with the sharp point on the end of her tail and flips them over her head.
Michael Sword: Justice lengthens her claws and channels electricity into them, then swipes forward with one hand.
Strike Back Tail: Justice flips backward, creating an arc of lightning in front of herself.
Nuclear Blast: Justice launches a missile that explodes upon impact with a target.
Saperia Trance: Justice engages the rocket boosters on her shoulders and flies forward at high speed as an attack.
Body control: Justice can morph the shape of her body to create spikes, drills, and large claws to attack.
* Michael Blade: An enhanced version of Michael Sword that covers more distance and is more powerful.
Imperial Ray: Justice fires a laser beam from the cannons on her shoulders.
Gamma Ray: Justice charges up before firing a powerful blast of gamma radiation from the cannons on her shoulders. This attack was used to destroy the entirety of Japan.
Omega Shift: Justice expends some power to briefly enter a heightened state of speed, maneuverability, and power. She must take a moment to recharge when it ends, during which time she is vulnerable to attack.
* X Laser: Justice picks up the opponent and carries them into space before bombarding them with explosions.
Justice's moves, Michael Sword and Michael Blade, are likely references to the archangel.
Due to a mistranslation in the original Guilty Gear game, her male voice actor and the blue ischium on her armor between her legs, it was previously believed that Justice was male, though in the original Japanese script, she was never referred to with any gender-specific pronouns.
Justice is the only character that can air dash from one end of a stage to the other.
In the original Guilty Gear, Justice had no respect action; she simply froze momentarily.
Justice's Saperia Trance from Λ Core Plus somehow has its sound effect removed.
Curiously, she shares this move with Valentine, who uses it after transforming into her Gear-like form.
Justice's role as the feared commander of all Gears hearkens to the idea of an evil overlord or demon lord in RPG/European Medieval fantasy; her mechanical and technologically advanced features, being Black Technology in-world, also draws upon the idea of said villains using forbidden and forsaken evil powers beyond common knowledge for their advantage.
