Background

Mondo Mole is the Sanctuary Boss that guards Lilliput Steps, the second Your Sanctuary location in MOTHER 2 (localized as EarthBound). Mondo Mole's powerful attacks and support PSI can make it a difficult boss to defeat. However, Mondo Mole is extremely vulnerable to Paralysis and PSI Flash; since it can only damage the party with physical attacks, it is greatly weakened if it is paralyzed or starts crying uncontrollably. After its defeat, Ness can enter Lilliput Steps and record the second piece of the melody on his Sound Stone.
