Background
Jason Lee Scott is a teenager who grew up in the city of Angel Grove, and attended the Angel Grove High School. As a kid, Jason was a bully, but he quickly saw the error in his ways and vowed to become a better person. Since then, Jason bettered himself through learning martial arts, which he was quickly shown to be a prodigy in.
Even when just in high school, Jason got a job in Ernie's Juice Bar and Gym, where acted was a martial arts instructor. During his time in the Juice Bar, he made fast friends with four other teenagers of his age; Trini Kwan, Zack Taylor, Kimberly Ann Hart, and Billy Cranston. These five teenagers were a tightly knit group of friends, when suddenly a powerful earthquake hit Angel Grove.
In reality, this earthquake was actually the cause of the devious Rita Repulsa attacking Earth. In an instant, amidst the chaos, the five teens were transported to an unknown Command Center. A powerful wizard named Zordon required the groups help, asking them to become the defenders of the planet in the form of Power Rangers. Although they initially rejected it, they soon agreed to take on the challenge.
Jason was positioned as the leader of the group, granted a Power Morpher and the ability to become the Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger. Jason became an incredible leader of the group, able to lead the rest of the Rangers through countless battles and saving the planet again and again. Eventually, however, Jason, along with Trini and Zack, were met by a request to participate in a Peace Conference. Compelled to go to it, Jason retired as the Red Ranger and transferred his powers to Rocky DeSantos.
Some time passed, and Jason hadn't been a Ranger, nor had he seen his Angel Grove friends, since his departure. One day, however, as the new Zeo Power Rangers were fighting off the Machine Empire, they needed to find someone to take on the mantle of the Gold Zeo Ranger. With nobody else befitting the role, Jason was brought in, and became the new Gold Ranger.
Almost as soon as he returned, Jason got back into the groove of being a Power Ranger, and was able to help greatly in taking down King Mondo's Machine Empire. Once the final battle commenced, however, Jason was forced to return his powers to their original owner, and fell back into Ranger retirement once again.
Throughout the oncoming years, Jason would very rarely get back into action as a Power Ranger. However, there were some opportunities for Jason to step out of the shadows and test his powers once again; briefly reclaiming his place as the Red Mighty Morphin Ranger. Jason Lee Scott had successfully earned his legacy as a skillful martial artist, and legendary Power Ranger.
