~ Axios after being infused with Arnos's Soul |
Background
Axios is a young man who was cursed by the gods to have immortality, which he uses to his advantage to take advantage of his eternal good-looks. Although Axios seems very carefree on the surface, he actually has a very deep past that explains his immortal nature. In truth, Axios is the manifestation of a third of the soul of the Titan, Oceanus.
When the Titans (Eld Gods) were defeated in combat by the new-age gods, their superweapon, Typhon, was sealed within the Earth. With the Titans defeated, the gods subjected them to punishment. Although Zeus respected Oceanus for joining them at the tail-end of the battle, he feared that Oceanus's power was too great, and had his soul split in three pieces. Those three pieces of Oceanus manifested into the form of three immortal men; Axios, Arnos, and Agon.
Axios eventually had his mind wiped by the gods, as a twist of fate. Unsure of who he was and why he was immortal, Axios wandered across the land in search of answers, often using his good looks and charm to get him places to stay. His travels towards answers eventually led him to other immortals, Icarus and Leucos, who he joined on their quest to Mount Olympus.
As the quest went along, Axios eventually reunited with his "brothers". Although Arnos happily joined the team, Agon had a heart of evil and fought them aggressively. With the rise of the Titan Superweapon, Typhon, underway, Axios and Arnos were forced to fuse back into Oceanus to fight against it. Unfortunately, with Oceanus only having two thirds of his full power, he was unable to win the battle.
Oceanus's soul fled out of him once more, planning on rejoining back into the bodies of Axios and Arnos. However, Arnos's body was destroyed in the convergence. As a result, both Axios and Arnos's souls went into Axios's body, creating a sort of fused being within him. Although his body was the same, he sported some notable physical differences, and also now had a blend of both he and Arnos's personalities.
Once Typhon was defeated, Axios was able to repent for the evil committed by his other counterpart, Agon. Now knowing exactly who he is, Axios returned to the Temple of Oceanus, where he remained. His further whereabouts are unknown.
