Ouro Kronii is the main protagonist of Chrono Gear: Warden of Time, a retro-inspired 2D action game blending fast-paced platforming, sword-based combat, and interconnected hub areas with a dramatic storyline. Kronii, also known as the Warden of Time, sought to become the most powerful being in existence. Swords

Kronii's main form of attacking is through her dual blades attacking targets while moving constantly through stages. She can also use these swords while in the air to perform a Drill Dash, along with while she's on the ground.

Time Horse

A mechanical horse constructed for Kronii to keep up with a UFO.

Chrono Gear

The Chrono Gear is a device Kronii made, the device is noted that it will make her stronger.

Kronies

Kronies are Kronii's loyal servants, they have their souls within mechanical bodies resembling alarm clocks, while they are weak and skittish they have a high pain tolerance and plenty of backup bodies making them nearly indestructible.

Jump

While standing on the ground, Kronii can perform a jump, depending on how long the button is held she can either jump higher or lower.

Kroniicopter

A technique that Kronii can use while in the air to slow her fall, she spins her sword into a makeshift helicopter blade. The Kroniicopter can also be used as an attack to attack targets above Kronii.

Dash

While on the ground, Kronii can dash forward at high speed, she can dash longer depending on how long the input is held down.

Dash Jump

Pressing the A input while dashing will have Kronii perform a Dash Jump.

Dive

The Dive technique allows Kronii to slam onto the ground while in midair.

Sword Swing

Kronii's main form of attacking, through holding X she can swing her swords to attack targets. She can also use this in order to reflect attacks from projectiles and forge time crystals to heal.

Drill Dash

While in the air, pressing the RB button will have Kronii perform a Drill Dash, allowing her to do a drill air dash attack. The Drill Dash can also be done on the ground while Kronii is dashing and the X input is pressed.

Haste

Pressing RT activates Haste, a power that increases Kronii's speed significantly. If pressing RT again while in haste and hold forward or backward, Kronii will teleport forward.

Stasis

Pressing LT activates Stasis, a power that creates a time bubble that will slow down objects inside of it. Kronii is temporarily protected from damage while in this state.

Future Strike

Future Strikes are Kronii's ability to attack surrounding targets in the future, damaging them after a brief delay. Kronii's sword strikes apply Future Strike.

Time Restoration

The Chrono Gear will restore the flow of time in frozen areas while active.

Standard Tactics: Kronii utilizes her swords along with her time powers.

Weaknesses: Kronii cannot open her door if she is not the main timeline Kronii without the Chrono Gear. Kronii reacts poorly to change and is easily flustered, though she can recover quickly from these setbacks. Kronii is afraid of spiders. Kronii can be easily distracted if someone were to make a perfect spitting image of herself. If space-time is shattered, Kronii cannot travel to the future, although she can still accelerate time. Kronii is afraid of spooky areas.

• Space-Time is noted by Kronii to currently be ruined within the events of the game, and everything shattering, thus Kronii's powers of time aren't as potent as they'd normally be due to the shattering of space-time.

Explanations

The Universe

The universe began in conflict between its five core elements: Space, Nature, Time, Civilization, and Chaos, the conflict ended when a sixth concept, Hope, descended to unify them; in order to bring the universe into balance, the gods bestowed the concepts with physical forms: The Speaker of Space, Sana, The Keeper of Nature, Fauna, The Warden of Time, Kronii, The Guardian of Civilization, Mumei, their leader, Chaos Incarnate, Baelz, and Hope Descendant, IRyS.

The Council

The six concepts formed the Council that would preside over the universe. They made a promise to support one another, no matter what. As humanity evolved, the Council became influenced by their qualities, this resulted in Kronii growing prideful from humanity's obsession with time. Sana wears her limiter so that she can shrink to the size of a human and interact with everyone, otherwise she would b larger than the Earth's sun.

Five powerful beings created by the gods to control various aspects of the universe.

Promise

Faction: Promise Members: Ceres Fauna, Ouro Kronii, Nanashi Mumei, Hakos Baelz, IRyS.

Five close friends who frequently travel together across the universe. The group is named after a promise they made during one of their adventures - a promise which led to IRyS joining their ranks.

HoloX

Faction: holoX Members: Laplus Darkness, Takane Lui, Hakui Koyori, Kazama Iroha, Sakamata Chloe.

A secret society of supervillains led by Laplus Darkness, who has ambitions to take over the world and one day remove the shackles that suppress her true power. Their first serious attempt led to the group quickly running out of money, forcing them to come out of the shadows and earn a living through other means. Perhaps one day they will try again...

Preserved Timelines

Book: Preserved Timelines I All timelines are created from time travel. Eventually, they're all destined to decay.

With the creation of the first Chrono Gear, these timeliens could be preserved.

A preserved timeline is a timeline fixed to its greatest point of power. Only the Chrono Gear is able to do this. Otherwise, a timeline will slowly fall into decay.

Book: Preserved Timelines II Timeline decay can take years, centuries, or may not even occur until the end of the universe. When it happens, it's instantaneous.

It's not fully known why decay occurs. Complete disarray in a timeline could cause it, but there's some timelines out there in complete shambles that operate just fine.

Further study will be needed to find a consistent decay point.

Book: Preserved Timelines III Rewinding time is possible. However, this results in the creation of a new timeline instead, leaving the current one untouched.

It is unclear how much time needs to be rewound to trigger this "splitting" of timelines. Some entities can rewind with impunity without causing a split, while others can rewind just a few seconds and end up in a new timeline.
