Background
Fused Zamasu, known as Merged Zamasu in the anime and God Zamas in the Viz manga, usually just referred to as Zamasu, is a Potara fusion born of the union between Goku Black (the original present Zamasu in the original present Goku's body) and Future Zamasu. He is the final antagonist of the "Future" Trunks Saga.

In the anime, Future Trunks uses the Evil Containment Wave on Future Zamasu after Bulma distracts him, to seal him away in a vase, with Future Mai closing it with the lid. Unfortunately, Goku forgot to bring the talisman made by Master Roshi, allowing Zamasu to break free. However, he is left weakened by the effort of escaping and was left deeply shocked that his enemies had discovered a means of actually neutralizing him despite his immortality. When Black arrived, having sensed Zamasu's ki decreasing, the latter informs his counterpart that they could no longer afford to underestimate the mortals. Declaring that they would display the true power of gods, Zamasu and Black stand beside each other in the sky, with the former taking his Potara earring from his left ear and attaching it to his right ear. This initiates an explosive Potara Fusion between the two villains, creating Fused Zamasu. Upon his birth, he declares his new form to be the embodiment of justice and the world. He orders everyone to revere and praise him, calling himself "The Supreme God". As he manifests a halo of light, Fused Zamasu proclaims his body's abilities, before attacking the Saiyan duo with lightning. Vowing to show them the power of a god, Fused Zamasu launches exploding blades at Goku and Vegeta. After the pair recovers, Zamasu tells them the Project Zero Mortals will be completed, follows it by attacking with lightning again, and withstanding Vegeta's attack. Deciding to unleash his godly might, Zamasu emits a bird-like ki figure, which repels the Saiyan's, damaging them to such a degree that they revert to their base forms. Overlooking the defeated pair, Zamasu directs his attention to Earth and unleashes his power in an attempt to clean the planet of its filth. However, Vegeta and Goku recover and attack, destroying Zamasu's bird-like ki technique in the process. When they attack Zamasu himself, he blocks their attack and follows it by attacking with his exploding blades again. When Future Trunks arrives, the two briefly fight, leading to Trunks being repelled to the ground. Insulting the mortal, Zamasu attacks with Holy Wrath, which clashes with Trunks' Galick Gun. As Zamasu's attack overpowers Trunks', Vegeta joins his son and the two launch a combined Galick Gun, which pushes Zamasu's attack back to him, but causes little to no damage at all. Frustrated at their resistance, Zamasu attempts to attack Trunks but attacks Vegeta instead when he steps in front of the attack. Afterward, Goku approaches Zamasu and fires his God Kamehameha, which clashes with Zamasu's Holy Wrath. Zamasu, however, is overwhelmed by Goku's attack, resulting in an explosion which surprises the semi-god, leaving the right half of his face and body swollen and turning purple. Goku then attacks Zamasu at close range, but Zamasu grabs him by the leg; Goku then enhances his physical attack by combining his Super Saiyan Blue form with Kaio-Ken, and kicks him to the ground, managing to destroy the halo in the process. Goku ends up too exhausted to attack further and collapses afterward. Zamasu then screams Goku's name in anger and hate, charging up by calling upon the Light of Divine Justice to spread his mutated arm. As Vegeta and Goku manage to fuse into Vegito, Zamasu wonders to himself why mortals would try and imitate the gods, declaring it sinful. He is interrupted by Vegito's punch square in the face because of getting tired of his talk. Vegito ascends into Vegito Blue, and the two begin their battle, and at first, Vegito seems to have the upper hand. Vegito mocks Zamasu, asking if this is really the power of a god. Zamasu angrily knocks Vegito to the ground. Zamasu then attempts to finish off his opponent with his ki blade, but Vegito counters with one of his own. After Vegito explains that Zamasu is technically also mortal due to fusing with Goku's body, Zamasu proclaims that's what his desire was; by obtaining the power of Goku, who surpassed the gods despite being mortal, he symbolized all the failures the gods have made, atoning for the sins of mortals and the mistakes of the gods. Zamasu cries (much to Vegito's disbelief), saying that his tears will purify the world, before powering up, resulting in him growing larger and his right side becoming more grotesque. As the two resume their fight, Vegito taunts Zamasu for not being able to keep up with his speed and fires his Final Kamehameha, but Zamasu emerges unscathed. As Vegito used up all his power to sustain his fusion into his Final Kamehameha, the fusion time runs out and Vegito defuses back into Goku and Vegeta, leading to Zamasu attacking the pair and defeating them effortlessly. Before he could kill the two, Trunks arrives and blocks Zamasu's attack. Fused Zamasu, whose mind had by this point completely succumbed to hatred and insanity, then fights Trunks, accusing the mortal of being weak, and mockingly asks where he will seek help from next. Trunks responds by saying that he is not ashamed of his "mortal weakness". As Trunks holds out against Zamasu, he unconsciously gathers ki from Earth's inhabitants. Upon noticing this, Goku and Vegeta contribute their ki too, and with everyone's power channelled into his sword, Trunks charges at Zamasu. Unable to defend himself from Trunks' enhanced sword technique, Zamasu is stabbed. While in disbelief of mortals retaliating against him and his "justice", and also asking Trunks if he'd dared to go against the "justice" of a god, Trunks declares his "justice" meaningless, before slicing Fused Zamasu in half. However, Fused Zamasu's will lived on, destroying his own physical body in the process to "cast away his mortal shell," only to be erased later by Future Zeno. |
Appearance

General Description: Fused Zamasu closely resembles Future Zamasu, while also incorporating several physical traits of Goku Black. He shares Goku Black’s height and build, along with Future Zamasu’s green skin, gray irises, and white hair. His facial structure leans closer to Goku Black’s, particularly in the jawline, and his eyes match Future Zamasu’s shape but feature darker lines beneath the eyelids and slightly smaller ears.
Facial Features: He has green skin, gray eyes, and white hair styled similarly to Goku Black’s Super Saiyan Rosé form, with an added long bang on the right side resembling Zamasu’s mohawk. His expression is typically stern and composed.
Clothing/Outfit: Fused Zamasu wears Supreme Kai attire that mirrors Future Zamasu’s outfit but adopts Goku Black’s color scheme, including a red sash and dark undershirt. He also wears Gowasu’s green Potara earrings on both ears and, in the anime, a Time Ring on his right index finger.
Special Features: Due to his unstable fusion, his semi-immortal body struggles to regenerate correctly, resulting in parts of his body transforming into a purple, organic substance. This affects the entire right half of his body, giving it a deformed, mutated appearance. His right eye also changes color, with a yellow sclera and a purplish-red pupil. When using Light of Divine Justice, his right arm grows in size.
Alternate Forms/Disguises: In Dragon Ball Heroes, as a member of the Core Area Warriors, his right side shows further damage. He wears a modified outfit similar to the other members, including an eye patch covering his right eye.
Personality
- Arrogant and Self-Entitled: Fused Zamasu possesses extreme confidence in his own divinity and power. He believes himself to be the embodiment of justice and often declares his superiority over mortals and gods alike. This manifests in his tendency to hover above the battlefield, use elaborate attacks, and employ "divine" terminology in naming his techniques.
- Ego-Driven and Cunning: He exhibits traits of both Goku Black and Future Zamasu, including a focus on appearances and an abstract, philosophical view of the universe. His arrogance drives him to seek validation through defeating powerful opponents and proving his absolute authority.
- Hypocritical yet Self-Aware: Fused Zamasu is conscious of the paradox of using mortal Goku Black as part of his fusion. He views this integration as necessary to carry the sins of mortals and the failures of gods, framing it as a means to protect the universe.
- Unstable and Easily Enraged: Beneath his calm exterior, he is volatile. When challenged, especially when physically harmed or opposed, his composure quickly deteriorates into rage. This instability increases as his body suffers damage or conflicts between his fused souls intensify, leading to more erratic and brute-force fighting.
- Obsessed with Justice and Power: He places immense value on his own strength and the ability to vanquish evil, seeing any god who fails to do so as worthless. His sense of justice is intertwined with his ego, and he takes the greater good of the universe as justification for extreme actions.
- Pragmatic Cooperation: While often disdainful of others, he can work alongside allies if it serves his goals, though his trust is limited and often temporary. His cooperation is tactical rather than emotional, reflecting his persistent focus on power and his ideological objectives.

Though he has a maximum power level, his ability to continually transcend it makes his potential nearly limitless.
- Limitations: Goku cannot constantly transcend his limits and will have points where he is not strong enough to deal with the threat. Some examples include his fight against Cell where he knew he wasn't strong enough to beat him and opted for his son Son Gohan to defeat Cell. Another example is his fight against Beerus where even though he broke his limits a couple of times, he at the end could not overcome Beerus' power.

Merged Zamasu was able to fight against Super Saiyan Blue Vegito[10], Vegito as a fusion is a massive increase in power beyond anything Goku or Vegeta can obtain normally with zenkai boost, thus Super Saiyan Blue Vegito should be arguably superior to Super Saiyan 2 Kefla due to Torunament of Power and Goku Black Saga being only a week apart), becomes Far Higher overtime (Merged Zamasu didn't just get a massive boost in power from fusing, he recieved an endlessly supply of power that increases infinitely[11][12]). Varies: Skill with Strongest Charged Blast (Charged Blast have one focus all of their energy into one single point[13], putting the blasts power far beyond what their peak strength is[14], allowing them to destroy things they couldn't prior with their regular attacks[15], this also allows them to use charged attacks that can stop enemies far beyond their level, such as Tien Shinhan pushing back Semi-Perfect Cell with his Neo Ki-Ko-Ho[16], along with stopping an attack shot from Buu absorbed Gotenks[17]. Strongest charged blast can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[18], with blasts capable of[19] seriously damaging/destroying[20] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[21]. Charged Blast also rely heavily on emotional states for example Gohan not believing in himself[22] was having Cell overpower him in a beam clash[23]) | At least Planet level (Size) (Enveloped the planet. Was in a state where Son Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks was unable to harm him[24]), Varies: Skill with Strongest Charged Blast. Will eventually become Universe level (Zamasu was trying to become the universe, casting off his form as a god and trying to become justice and order itself, only being stopped by Zeno erasing him[25])

Travel Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Far superior to Super Saiyan Gotenks who flew around the earth a few dozen times in this time frame) | Massively Hypersonic (Zamasu was quickly spreading throughout space, with Gowasu's statement of him becoming the universe implying the timeframe wouldn't have been that long[27]). Will eventually become Faster Than Light (As he would become the universe itself, he would've existed in every period of time[28])
Attack Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Superior to base Post Black Arc Son Goku, who fought against a pre-Tournament of Power Son Gohan, who fights against a parasite called Watagash, who escaped Jaco and flew from an unknown location in the universe to Earth in a short timeframe[29]) | At least Massively Hypersonic. Will eventually become Faster Than Light
Reaction Speed: Massively Hypersonic | At least Massively Hypersonic. Will eventually become Faster Than Light
Stamina: Limitless (Zamasu's body is half immortal, with the other half of his body holding mortality, though this does not seem to affect his stamina at all, including when Trunks believed he defeated him and Zamasu became Infinite Zamasu in response by casting off his body)
Range: Standard Melee, Universal with Ki Attacks, and Shock-waves (Comparable to Goku whose shockwaves spread across the universe and reached the Kaioshin Realm, otherworld, and more), Interstellar with Instant Transmission, Kai Kai, & Ki (Instant Transmission, can forcibly send his opponent to other places such as heaven. Goku's aura could be seen and felt in the Otherworld[30]). Would eventually become Universal as Infinite Zamasu (As he would become the universe itself[31])
Intelligence: Genius Intelligence (Black and Zamasu were capable of forming of plan to take over the universe, betraying Gowasu and teaming up with each other. As a Kai, Zamasu should be comparable to the other Kais. Black is capable of using Goku's fighting techniques and abilities. Just after fighting Goku, he was able to unlock his own Super Saiyan form, and learn new abilities as he kept fighting)
- Chi Manipulation & Ki Manipulation (All beings in Dragon Ball[32][33][34] have ki, the very life force energy of all characters[35], ki allows a fighter to extend beyond their bodies limits, allowing them to even[36] block attacks that would otherwise[37] kill them from[38] raising their guard[39], higher level users can lower their own durability to allow people far below them to fatally wound them[40])

- Mood Reflection: Goku and Piccolo Jr. with their auras and their stern concentration on each other reflected in their electric auras, even shooting electricity at each other[45].
- Emotional Empowerment (It's noted that ki users can receive energy through one cheering them on[46]. Ki users can be greatly increased by their emotions and beliefs, Son Goku explains that Son Gohan needs to remember the time he fought Cell and bring out all of the power he has, this way he can lose to no one[47] where it's shown during the Cell beam clash that he was holding back greatly out of fear of destroying the earth but from being cheered on and using all of his power within him, he was able to overpower Cell[48])
- Attack Reflection (All Ki users are able to reflect attacks just by being stronger than their opponent[49]. Examples include, Nappa deflecting a masenko from Son Gohan[50], Son Gohan being able to bounce back the spirit bomb[51], Son Goku deflecting a crusher ball from Jeice[52], Frieza deflecting a Final Burst Cannon from Vegeta[53], Son Goku reflecting multiple death beams back to back from Frieza[54], and Future Trunks being able to completely repel an energy blast with his hand from a Frieza Soldier just by being much stronger than them[55])
- Homing Attack (Ki users can create attacks that will home in and chase a target forever[56])
- Penetration Damage
- Weapon Creation (Ki users can create energy weapons out of their attacks[60])
- Power Absorption & Energy Transferal (Ki users can transfer their ki to others and absorb the ki given to them from others[61])
- Attack Nullification
- Power Nullification
- Ki Energy Based: Through having greater ki, one can nullify the powers done through ki attacks, such as Frieza being able to nullify a hakai ball[65], which fully destroys a target[66], though he is unable to resist a hakai ball from Toppo due to him being stronger[67], this ability however only works on ki, attacks unrelated, characters cannot resist through being stronger, such as how Vegeta, Krillin, & Son Gohan are unable to resist Guldo's psychic powers[68], along with even the likes of Son Goku[69].
- Forcefield Creation (Ki users such as Cell can generate forcefields around themselves[70]. These forcefields can be expanded[71], and used to protect others and defend against attacks far higher then the user[72]. Forcefields effectivel allow the ki user to be able to block substances from other ki techniques, such as poisons[73]. Ki users can also project forcefields around themselves to protect themselves from ki absorptions that require grabbing them and bringing them into one's body[74])
- Super Armor (Through releasing one's ki, they enter a state known as "Hyper Mode"[75], in this state they do not flinch from weak melee attacks[76])
- Self-Destruction (Ki users in Dragon Ball are able to[77] release all of the energy within them[78] to cause a massive[79] self-destruction of energy that normally kills the user and turns them into dust[80] though one can control it to surviving but having no stamina or energy left[81])
- Dormant Power Reservoir (Ki users have a dormant power reservoir within them, as shown in arcs like the Buu Saga where Babidi saps this energy in order to use the energy to revive Buu and break his seal[82])
- Internal Destruction (Powerful ki users can overload enemies with their ki, causing them to swell up and explode from the sheer density of ki within them[83])

- Intimidation & Spirit Manipulation (Ki is the manifestation of one’s lifeforce[93], along with the aura giving one the feeling of being crushed[94], exerting fear[95] into the target, sometimes making them incapable of moving as their[96] body is instinctively stuck due to the sheer difference in power[97])
- Link Manipulation & Mind Manipulation (Characters can link their ki together and train within each other’s mind enacting in image training[98])
- Vibration Manipulation
- Electricity Manipulation
- Weather Manipulation (Powerful Ki users can generate entire storms through merely powering up alone, Nappa used this in order to conjure the electricity from the storm[103]. Goku showcases this when he first turns super saiyan, causing a massive lightning storm in the background[104])
- Energy Manipulation (Ki is the latent power in one's body, this latent power allows them to form and create energy from controlling their ki[105])
- Explosion Manipulation (Ki attacks can create massive explosions[108], or control the ki to set off a huge explosion under the enemy[109], or in front of them[110])

Went to train under Master Roshi and learn the turtle hermit style, a style training one to break the wall of humanity[148] mastering the art in both body and mind[149]. This style requires one to train in knowledge[150], work on one's stamina[151] work on their muscles and speed[152] dodge attacks even while tied to a rope in a short range[153] all the while wearing 20-kilo shells[154]. The Turtle Hermit Style are incorporated within this[155], allowing for students that trained under this style to be capable[156] of fighting against other martial artists[157] without needing to be taught any real fighting[158] along with taking no damage from attacks due to the style training their durability[159].
- Spiritual Arts: Told by Master Roshi to go out into the wide world and learn more about life, extending his knowledge and growing further for three years. - Flames of Retribution: Zamasu shines red and bursts out ki from all over his body, starting from his right eye.
- Super Saiyan Rose: As the Potara Fusion of Goku Black and Future Zamasu was performed while Black was still in his Super Saiyan Rosé state, Fused Zamasu is constantly and permanently in the Super Saiyan Rosé form. Because of this, the resulting fusion cannot enter a normal form nor power down. While this would normally cause a significant strain on the fusion's body and shorten his lifespan, the immortality from Future Zamasu, to an extent, eliminates this problem despite the "unstable" fusion affected by Goku Black (as his body isn't immortal).
- Haloed: In the anime, by creating the Barrier of Light, Fused Zamasu takes on his "Haloed" state. In this form Fused Zamasu is capable of utilizing his Halo for numerous purposes, but its primary function is defense - though it can be destroyed by a powerful attack and when this happens Fused Zamasu reverts to his normal Super Saiyan Rosé form.
- Gigantification: In the anime, by calling upon the Light of Divine Justice, Fused Zamasu becomes larger and more muscular. In this form he is named Grotesque Zamasu, Fused Zamasu (Right Arm Enlargement) or Fused Zamasu (Half-Corrupted). His aura changes from colorful white to that of Black's as Super Saiyan Rosé. Despite the great increase in power, the flawed nature of Fused Zamasu's body comes with a side-effect of his body mutating, resulting in half of his body becoming an oversized and purple gooey substance. Grotesque Zamasu also has his right eye to gain a purple iris and yellow sclera. As a result of his great anger at losing to Vegito, combined with the forced mutation from his Light of Justice, Fused Zamasu bulks himself up and grows to become huge. He is able to survive Super Saiyan Blue Vegito's Final Kamehameha.
- Infinite Zamasu: In the anime, after Trunks destroyed his body that was only semi-immortal due to Goku Black, Fused Zamasu still survived due to the immortality of Future Zamasu and re-appears as Infinite Zamasu, a bodiless, omnipresent form, becoming a reality encompassing entity in an attempt to become order and justice itself. This bodiless entity had the face of Fused Zamasu patterned along its corrupting presence that was spreading across the universe.
- Mouth Energy Wave: A powerful red mouth energy wave used by the incorporeal Infinite Zamasu.
- Chou Makouhou Barrage: An attack where all the heads of the incorporeal Infinite Zamasu fire Chou Makouhou at the same time. Infinite Zamasu used this to decimate the surface of the future timeline's Earth, killing almost all of the survivors.
- Eventual Omnipresence: Zamasu would've eventually fused with the entire timeline and beocome one with the universe.
- Immortality: The ability to remain unchanged by the passage of time, unable to die, and simply live forever. Obtained using the Super Dragon Balls. Due to his apparent immortality, Future Zamasu is only moderately unfazed by any injury, no matter how grievous. He is also apparently unaffected by energy attacks, as he took the full brunt of Future Trunks' Final Flash and Goku Black's Black Kamehameha without a scratch. However, he can still be defeated by sealing him away using sealing techniques like the Evil Containment Wave. He is also susceptible to being erased from existence by Zeno.

- Super Black Kamehameha: A stronger version of the Black Kamehameha used by Goku Black in his Super Saiyan Rosé form.
- Spirit Control: An advanced Ki manipulation technique that allows its user to achieve a multitude of potent abilities through their ki.
- Instant Transmission: Used by Black several times, in the manga in order to quickly get up close to Trunks and attack him and in the anime to avoid an attack from Goku.
- Sudden Death Beam: Goku Black uses Instant Transmission to dodge attacks and get close to his opponent, then fires a point-blank Divine Retribution ki blast as a counterattack. This move is used by him in a brief clash with Goku.
- Instant Transmission: Used by Black several times, in the manga in order to quickly get up close to Trunks and attack him and in the anime to avoid an attack from Goku.
- Shockwave: After engraving Goku's power into his own being he is shown using this technique while testing his new abilities.

- Violent Fierce God Slicer: After further refining his power, Black is able to use an enhanced version of the technique, he emits a blade of violet energy from his hand to slash and stab his opponent. It seems to be enhanced by the form's ki aura. In the manga, Black used this technique in his base form to mortally wound his former master, Gowasu.
- God Slicer: A rush attack used against Goku by Black in his Super Saiyan Rosé form where he chases the opponent while firing ki blasts at them, then attempts to impale them with his Violent Fierce God Slicer.

- Divine Lasso: In Super Saiyan Rosé form, Black can shoot out multiple energy javelins from his blade that first pierce the target and then explode.
- Sickle of Sorrow: A more powerful version of the Violent Fierce God Slicer technique, attained by Goku Black after he turned his anger into power in the anime. It became capable of opening a large rift in the universe to an unknown place or time which would release an evil energy.
- The Work of the Gods: The rift created by Goku Black using the Sickle of Sorrow.
- Mass Replication: From the energy of the rift, Black is able to form many clones of himself known as Shadows. The Shadows are unstable and if they were hit, they would disperse, but can immediately reform themselves after. They appear to have the same physical might as Black himself. The Shadows and the rift dissipate once Black goes too far away.
- The Work of the Gods: The rift created by Goku Black using the Sickle of Sorrow.

- Spirit Blade: A blade made of ki, can stab through users like an actual sword.
- Saiyan Power: Black is capable of gaining power boosts once recovering from harm caused by his enemies like other Saiyans. In the anime this ability appears more advanced than an ordinary Saiyans. Every single time Goku Black experiences pain, his power increases. Even minor injuries and moments of pain are able to cause noticeable boosts in his power. Even more, he appears able to recover from injuries much faster than normal Saiyans. In the manga, Goku Black works in the normal nature, as only recovering from more serious injuries will boost his power, to which he also needed aid from Future Zamasu healing him before he could return to battle. Each time he uses this power up it allows his "god mind and Saiyan body" to tie further together, first allowing him to access his standard Super Saiyan form before his power finally surpassed Super Saiyan God, evolving his standard Super Saiyan form into his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, Super Saiyan Rosé.
- Mimicry: In the anime, as an extension of his newfound Saiyan biology, Black is also capable of imitating anything that he learns from his opponent in battle to add to his skill and versatility in combat. During his first fight against Goku, "engraved the battle memories" on his body, and thus enabled him to refine his fighting style to become more like Goku's. This allowed him to use the Saiyan body to its fullest efficiency. He also applied a similar method when fighting Vegeta, recognizing anger as source of power for Saiyans and mimicking that to further increase his power.
- Thunder Shock Surprise: The user shoots a lightning blast towards the target using both hands and traps the opponent within an electric field.
- Telekinesis: Like Shin and Future Zamasu, Black is able to utilize telekinesis to hold down his foes.
- Super Saiyan Rosé: Goku Black possesses the ability to become a truly divine Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (in most media) or his own divine version of the first Super Saiyan form (in the Dragon Ball Super anime, as well as the Dragon Ball Fusions video game). In this form, he is able to augment his techniques into more elaborate variations. In the anime, Black stated that he fully mastered Goku's power to be able to achieve Super Saiyan Rosé. As this form is the divine version of the first Super Saiyan form in the Dragon Ball Super anime, Goku Black transforms into the first, standard Super Saiyan form to achieve the Super Saiyan Rosé form.
Other
Standard Tactics: Fusion Zamasu will fire various light and lightning based holy attacks along with using hand to hand combat, if he is killed, he will become Infinite Zamasu and attempt to fuse with the universe.
Weaknesses
- Standard Ki Weaknesses: Ki users that do not have sufficient training over their emotions put their power within a mental lock, with changes to their emotions can seriously limiting their powers or making them uncontrollable[181]. Their emotions can also have them instinctively block using the full power of their attacks out of fear of the destruction along with lack of confidence in themselves[182].Ki users can only sense targets moving at super speed through feeling their chi[183], with them becoming so accustomed to tracking energy that they've lost their eyes for movement[184]. Ki users can get hit by off guard attacks from characters far slower then them[185]. If ki users are paralyzed or their nerves are numb, they can be killed by much weaker attacks[186]. If a Ki user is inflicted with any kind of status, disease, or poison, powering up or transforming will put further strain on the body[187] and can speed up the process of poison[188]. Users of Ki Sensing cannot sense beings that invisible, even if the character is in front of them attacking them, they have a hard time countering them due to being invisible[189]. Users of Ki Sensing also have a harder time sensing the true being using illusions, requiring them to focus in on energy fields to see who is moving and who is casting the illusion[190]. Due to the nature of ki draining stamina and energy, Dragon Ball characters ki usage requires them to usually use their higher levels of energy in short bursts, using a large amount of ki overtime can greatly weaken them to the point that characters far lower then them can actually harm them with attacks[191]. Taking large amounts of damage can greatly deplete a ki users attacks, making it where attacks that would otherwise kill massively weakened characters, only pushes them back[192]. Ki users cannot put all of their ki and strength into an attack if parts of their body are broken/injured[193][194], they also lose half of their chi if something like one of their arms are badly injured or broken[195].Ki users that are able to ki sense cannot do it when their guard is dropped, such as when Vegeta was able to sneak attack Son Goku during the end of their fight in the Buu Saga[196]. Despite some ki users being able to reach blasts that can destroy planets through charged attacks or techniques[197][198][199][200], they have not shown to be able to tank such blasts themselves[201][202][203], with attacks that have[204] destroyed several[205] planets in the series[206] always killing the character. Even characters such as Majin Buu's body cannot withstand the energy of a planet exploding[207]. Using ki volley attacks come with the caveat of their aim being rather poor, making it harder to hit moving targets. If ki users are at all possessed, even by accident, their true self will be sleeping within, with the possessor needing to awaken them[208]. Even if awoken, they are immobilized and unable to move without the possessor giving them the ability to[209], even with them wanting to wake up, they cannot do it[210]. Specific waves can can suppress a ki users power, and put their consciousness to sleep[211]. If Ki users stamina is broken, they will unable to be able to continue fighting for a short while, this will also cancel out any ki attack they were attempting to use, including ultimate's[212], this also adds on that ki users guards are down while charging ultimate attacks. Their stamina can also be broken if a character moves far too fast and surprise attacks them while they're charging their ki[213]. Ki Users can also be grabbed out of charging their attacks[214]. When ki users radiate their Ki at its highest, their body is also freed the most, making them open to attacks and making them easy to possess[215]. Ki attacks can be blocked by magma based attacks, such as even when Vegeta's strongest charged blast, the final flash, was being blocked by Magetta's magma[216]. Ki users have far lower reactions and speeds when they do not have their ki up or are not on guard, such as when Mai's sniper would've hit Goku Black if she didn't miss[217].
- Super Saiyan Weaknesses: The Super Saiyan Form overstresses one's body, where if they try to fuse while in Super Saiyan they will end up shortening their lifespan[218]. This state also causes diseases to speed up[219], along with speed up poisons or any other afflictions wrong with their body[220].
- Unique Weaknesses: Due to fusing with Goku Black, half of his body is mortal, having an effect on his immortal one, making an unstable balance between his body and soul[221].
Note
- Some clips used on the profile come from an anime or movie due to the fact that some abilities from ki use shouldn't function much differently from how they can in canon, along with this sometimes the anime version/video game version of a scene will be used for cleaner visuals. Toriyama himself directly overlooks scenes in the anime and movies and gives Toei the thumbs up[222].
- The speed scaling for PLs are taken with a grain of salt as there are noticeable times where someone's speed isn't equal to their power, such as Burter being faster then Recoome and Jeice, along with Super Saiyan Grade 3 Trunks having his power greatly increased but his speed decreased.
Trivia
- Fused Zamasu is the first villain in the franchise to be created by use of Potara Fusion, the first fusion created by two alternate timeline counterparts fusing. In the manga, Fused Zamasu is also the first Immortal fusion (as Goku Black and Future Zamasu became fused at the cellular level). In the anime, he is the first Semi-Immortal fusion (as Goku Black half remains mortal while Future Zamasu is immortal).
- Unlike Old Kai and Kibito Kai, Fused Zamasu does not have a singular voice (until after being hit with the Final Kamehameha). Instead, his voice consists of two "Zamasu" voices overlapping one another. This may be due to the fact that both of his components were technically separate instances of the same being (albeit with one possessing a different person's body). In the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, an echo effect is added to the voice for Fused Zamasu.
- Fused Zamasu is similar to Super 17, in the sense that both characters are fusions of two counterparts of the same individual. However, in Super 17's case one of his fusees is an artificial incarnation (as Hell Fighter 17 is an artificial copy of Android 17).
- Fused Zamasu's, along with Infinite Zamasu's Super Saiyan Rosé forms possess white hair, rather than the light pink hair that Goku Black has when he transforms into a Super Saiyan Rosé. The reason for this is never stated. Fused Zamasu presumably inherited his white hair from Future Zamasu. In the anime he also does not possess the forms aura until after achieving his Half-Corrupted form.
- Originally before the fourth DLC for Xenoverse 2 was added, the form of Fused Zamasu being Half Corrupted was supposed to be playable along with Trunks's rage form.
- However, Fused Zamasu's Half-Corrupted form is playable in the training mode, but this is done only if you can beat Fu's crystal raids missions.
- Fused Zamasu shares similarities with Baby.
- Both stole the body of a main protagonist (with Baby possessing Vegeta).
- Both ironically become members of groups they despise (mortals and Saiyans respectively) in pursuit of their goals.
- Both have white hair when transformed into their Super Saiyan forms.
- Fused Zamasu is one of only two forms of Zamasu that does not have purity of the heart, the only other one being Infinite Zamasu.
Explanations
Codex Statistics Questions
Q: What about the planetary feats in Dragon Ball?
A: Planetary feats are normally done through their strongest charged blast, where they can gather ki to shoot out blast far beyond what the character is normally capable of[223], with blasts capable of[224] seriously damaging/destroying[225] the Earth along with completely obliterating the opponent[226], though they themselves are never capable of leaving this unscathed.
Frieza throws a destroy the planet death ball attack but it doesn't destroy the planet. Goku then interestingly notes the reason the planet didn't blow up is because Frieza was too scared of getting caught in the blast[227] . Vegeta's final flash is noted it's going to destroy the planet and Perfect Cell, who is beyond Vegeta, couldn't tank the blast and had to dodge it last second or it would've killed him[228]. Goku's kamehameha was going to destroy the earth and Cell cannot tank this blast, needing to regenerate[229]. Semi-Perfect Cell explosion was consistently noted it was going to destroy the planet and Gohan and it killed Goku[230]. Ultimate Gohan dies to an attack that destroys the earth, his guard was up too since this was when he was fighting Super Buu[231]. Kid Buu shoots a blast trying to destroy the planet, with Vegeta noting he's going to take himself out with it if he lets it off[232]. In Dragon Ball GT, Great Ape Baby Vegeta shoots a super galick gun that he claims will destroy Earth, when Goku is hit by it, he is knocked out to the point that he can't move for a good while, Elder Kai and Shin later state that Baby is going to shoot another blast that will destroy the planet on, greatly injuring Baby if he's caught in the Blast and will kill everyone on the planet if done[233]. Frieza destroyed the entire earth, killing Vegeta in the process[234]. In the Dragon Ball Super Manga, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't need to hold anything back and can go all out because anything that happens to the Earth can be restored with Dende and the Dragon Balls. Yet, none of Goku's all out attacks destroy the planet but just heavily causes shockwaves around it[235]. Semi-Perfect Cell unleashes a several blast that destroys several islands Android 16 notes that the attacks are just strong enough to not kill Android 18[236].
In the fight of Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza, who is far stronger than his final form, Mecha Frieza immediately goes for his strongest attack, the Supernova. In the original Z anime King Kai even states this is ten times stronger than the power he used on Namek:
- DBZ Kai Version[237].
- Original DBZ Anime Version[238]. The attack is directly noted that it could destroy the planet, but doesn't because Trunks catches it, when Mecha Frieza proceeds to detonate it, the explosion is massive but the planet is still intact, implying Frieza must target the core in order to destroy the planet.
