~ Ridley's Prize Description

Background

Ridley is a high-ranking Space Pirate, the archenemy of Samus Aran, and one of the most common recurring characters and antagonists in the Metroid series, appearing in most of the games. He is the main antagonist of the Metroid series, although he is usually a secondary antagonist in each appearance and is only the final boss in one game. In the attraction Metroid Blast, he is a major boss enemy first fought in mission twenty. He is regarded as the commander of the Space Pirates.

Codex Statistics

Tier: 8-B

Name: Ridley

Origin: Metroid (Originally), Nintendo Land

Sex: None, referred to as male

Age: Unknown

Classification: Cunning God of Death

Species: Unknown

Occupation: Commander of the Space Pirates, Attraction, Robotoic Entity

Status: Has been both Active and Destroyed several times, with his final status being Destroyed (Was first defeated in mission twenty of Metroid Blast by the attraction goer, then would later reappear in mission twenty-six and twenty-eight (the latter of which also featured Ice Ridley), and would finally be defeated for the last time in mission thirty alongside Kraid)

Alignment: Chaotic Evil (Is directly based on Ridley from the Metroid series and is regarded as a villainous leader[1]. Directly fights the attraction goer in an effort to stop them and kill them)

Dimensionality: 3-D

Attack Potency: City Block level (Can harm the gunship and power suit-wearing attraction goer in combat, the latter of who can directly survive the epicenter of Kraid's death, which generated an explosion of this magnitude)

Durability: City Block level (Can tank numerous attacks from the Gunship and Arm Cannon, with the attraction goers even needing to target specific weak points on Ridley's body to even damage him properly). Regeneration and Resurrection make him extremely difficult to kill.

Striking Strength: City Block Class

Travel Speed: Superhuman (Can easily outpace the Power Suit-wearing attraction goer), possibly Higher (Can keep pace with and physically catch up with the Gunship, which is described as having galactic travel capabilities[2])

Combat Speed: Relativistic (Can hit the Power Suit-wearing attraction goer and the Gunship, with the latter having galactic travel capabilities[2])

Reaction Speed: Relativistic (Can dodge laser fire from the Power Suit arm cannon and the Gunship. The laser fire should be comparable to the inferior flashlight beam by proxy of being an offensive weapon, and both are massively faster than missiles)

Lifting Strength: Superhuman (Can physically grab and lift the attraction goer with them having a hard time breaking his grip)

Stamina: Limitless (By proxy of being a mechanical being, Ridley should have no energy-related limitations)

Range: Several Meters via sheer size, Tens of Meters with tail and claws, Hundreds of Meters with various plasma attacks (Can fire a massive plasma laser across the map at high speeds), Higher with Homing Attack (Ridley's homing missile barrage can theoretically target foes anywhere on the map)

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius (Is directly based on his canon counterpart and is regarded as highly intelligent[1], therefore he should have comparable intellect to his original self)

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Inorganic Physiology (Is purely inorganic due to being a robot), Human Achievements (Is the commander of the Space Pirates and is shown a capable strategist[1]), Genius Intelligence, Large Size (Supersize; Seems to be around 4–6 meters in size), Self-Sustenance (Respiratory Self-Sustenance, Nutritional Self-Sustenance, and Restful Self-Sustenance; As a robotic entity, Ridley shouldn't require any form of restoration demands of life), Flight (Naturally flies while attacking and likely can fly through space), Teleportation (Is seen entering the arena through teleportation), Natural Weaponry and Penetration Damage (Physical Penetration; Ridley's claws and tail are highly dangerous weapons capable of piercing Power Suits and the Gunship), Immortality and Supernatural Resilience (Regenerative Immortality; Can survive having massive chunks of his body blown off regenerate them quickly after being torn off), Regeneration (Low-Mid; Ridley could regenerate large chunks of his body after they were destroyed in combat and reform the core of his body after it was destroyed), Resurrection (Is consistently resurrected after being destroyed and returns in later missions), Energy Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Plasma Manipulation & Breath Attack (Ridley can fire a plasma laser out of his mouth and multiple smaller fireballs in repeated fashion), Explosion Manipulation, Homing Attack, & Curtain Fire (Can fire a barrage of homing missiles in multiple directions).
Resistance to Explosion Manipulation & Shockwave Generation (Missiles and Morph Bombs can't damage his skin, with them only being good for damaging his weak points), Pierce Resistance (Irregular Pierce Resistance; Ridley's body is immune to damage from the Power Suit arm cannon and the Gunship, and can only be reasonably damaged by having his weak points targeted)

Equipment

Nothing notable.

Notable Techniques

  • Plasma Projectiles: Ridley's most iconic and true to origin attack in his various fights. Ridley can fire purple flame-like projectiles which deal one hit-point of damage per hit.
    • Plasma Laser: A long and very accurate plasma laser beam that Ridley fires horizontally across the map for several seconds. The attack deals one hit-point of damage upon making contact with a player.
    • Fireball Blast: Ridley briefly pauses and then begins to fire multiple plasma shots fired in close-to-mid range combat. He shoot three per session, and typically fires in four quick sessions before performing a new attack.
    • Claw Plasma Attack: Ridley can occasionally fire plasma shots from his left hand to throw off his target, or when his hands still have a weak point to target.
  • Explosive Projectiles: These attacks are more true to Ridley's appearance in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 3, also known as Meta Ridley. Ridley will fire rockets and bombs across the map to hit targets.
    • Homing Missile: Ridley will fire a barrage of multiple missiles from his back, which will slowly approach targets nearby.
    • Spike Bomb: Ridley will drop spike bombs, carpeting the area, and damaging those who touch them.
  • Physical Attacks: These are Ridley's most straight forward attacks, with him utilizing his tail and claws in a dangerous manner.
    • Tail Jab: A forward thrust of his retractable tail which strikes the ground, along with those that are near it. This attack leaves Ridley temporarily vulnerable to attack before he retracts his tail.
    • Claw Launcher: Deploying his right hand to grab the player. If the player is successfully grabbed, Ridley will pull them and bring them up to his mouth before launching plasma projectiles at them, similar to one of his attacks in Zero Mission.

Other

Standard Tactics: Ridley will shoot out fire breath, fly around and use his tail to attack, along with physically attacking and dropping various different attacks.

Weaknesses: His body is riddled with weak points, which can lead to him getting temporarily stunned if they are destroyed. He can grow them back if they're all destroyed however.
