Scott Pilgrim is in love with Ramona Flowers but...He must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends
~ The game's intro

Background

Ramona Flowers is one of the main characters of the video game Adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs the World, which is being released during the Holidays of 2020 by Ubisoft. After instantly falling in love with Scott Pilgrim, the two of them, along with Kim Pines, Stephen Stills, Knives Chau, and Wallace Wells, travel throughout Toronto Canada to defeat her Seven Evil Ex boyfriends.

Like other Adaptations, little is known about her past, and she doesn't open up much. However, exclusive to the game, Ramona fights and defeats Nega Scott so that she can accept Scott for who he is and help him improve as a person. In Scott's ending, she leaves an unhappy Scott after he refuses to improve as a person.

Powers and Techniques

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts (Has several martial art techniques from games such as Street Fighter), Acrobatics, Dimensional Travel and Teleportation (Can enter her personal Subspace and teleport away), Weapon Mastery (Can efficiently use a hammer in combat), Breaking the Fourth Wall (Is aware she is in a game), Cartoon Physics, Energy Manipulation and possible Heat Manipulation (Her attacks generate red energy), Statistics Amplification (Various food and drinks grant minor stat amplifications. Defeating more foes will boost Knives's physical powers for a brief moment), Flight (Has shown to be able to fly), Transmutation (Can turn people into money (and sometimes animals) upon death), Summoning and Soul Summoning, (Can summon Knives Chau and Mr.Chau along with a spiritual monster similar to the movie), Resurrection (Has extra lives that allow the characters to revive), Regeneration and Life Absorption (Low-Godly; Can steal a life from characters and reform from just her soul), Supernatural Resilience (Can survive having her entire body burnt to a crisp and regenerate just fine), Personal Domain (Has her own Subspace which she can access at any given point), Sheer Will (Those who can access the powers of Subspace in the real world naturally require a strong will and determination to control them), Perspective Manipulation & Observation (Unconscious Manifestation; Potent Subspace users can use the perspective-based powers of Subspace to overwrite reality to fit how they view it in the real world), Subjective Reality & Dimensional Storage (Whatever the user can imagine will be created in subspace. For instance, Scott manifested his love for Ramona as the Power of Love, which he can pull from and store in Subspace), Portal Creation & Summoning (As the powers of the characters originate from Subspace, they can create portals or summon beings and objects from their subspace), Dimensional Travel and Space-Time Manipulation (Characters can manifest doors directly to subspace, or even move between subspace and the real world through sheer force. Breaking the walls between subspace and the main universe).

Resistance to Fire Manipulation and Electricity Manipulation (Takes minimal damage from having her body burnt and being electrocuted), Pain (Can endure pain to the entire body), Space-Time Manipulation and Mind Manipulation (Unaffected by Crash and the Boy's music, which can bend space and time and force entire crowds unconscious)

All previous powers and abilities to an unknown extent. Abstract Existence (Idea, Primordial Source), Regeneration (Low-Godly; Subspace avatars are avatars of pure cognition[1] of one's true self and by extension can be restored by the true form at will[2]), Immortality, Supernatural Resilience, and Unconditional Time Travel (Life and Death Immunity; Concepts such as death are irrelevant to subspace avatars/dwellers as even if one dies[3] they will just be sent into subspace[4], with spirits being able to freely pass through and from Subspace. Immortal Metaphysical Aspect; All damage done to a subspace avatar means nothing to their true self. Someone like Scott could lose his limbs in subspace and be cut in half and would still be perfectly fine[2][5]. Reliance; True Self/Person; As the creation(s) in subspace ultimately have no major consequences on the real world self, the subspace avatar can be endlessly created[2]. Even if subspace itself is destroyed[5], the true self can simply restore it as well. Subspace avatars are avatars of pure cognition[1] created by one's true self and by extension can be restored by the true form at will[6], regardless of the damage they succumb to[2]) Alternate Replacements (Due to Subspace being an entire space-time continuum directly tied to the user's mind[7] mind subspace is therefore directly linked to the user's entire life, allowing for numerous versions of the same being to exist simultaneously[5]. Furthermore, psychic energies can traverse through the timestream to the present era, further suggesting that mental figments of one's past self can travel through the timestream), Acausality (Irregular Causality; Subspace is a different space-time where all rules are different (including death[4]), thus it should by extension be a different system of causality), Enhanced Perspective Manipulation and Observation (Unconscious Manifestation and Conscious Manifestation; Perception is Law. People, items, and Mind Subspace itself are based on the nature of the person's mind, therefore, however, a person imagines Subspace is how it will appear. A good example is Scott's Dream Desert[8]: this location is repeatedly used as a metaphor for Scott's loneliness but also is his projected image of Subspace at that time which Ramona is able to pass through[8]), Law Manipulation (One’s subspace operates under their rules[9] and systems[6] which can extend even to the real[10] world[11] with characters like Gideon affecting Ramona’s Subspace), Reality Warping and Mind Manipulation (Mindshifting; While Mind Subspace allows for others' own projected images of themselves to take on other forms[5], the individual whom the Subspace resides in retains all power and control within said mind. Through this, the character can shape themselves and Subspace to their liking all through their thoughts, perspectives, and desires), Power Nullification (A user of Subspace can completely nullify any connection an opponent has in that Subspace, regardless of if they're more powerful or not. This is how Ramona was able to expel Gideon despite him being a master of Subspace and able to manipulate it inside anyone's mind[5]), Dimensional Travel and limited Possession (Subspace users can unconsciously and consciously enter their subspace avatars[7], even after dying[5]), Power Manifestation (Gideon Graves was able to create the Glow from subspace[5] and use it to directly counter mind subspace[5])

Equipment

Her Hammer and Subspace purse

Notable Techniques

  • Super Attack: Ramona pulls out her Subspace purse and swings it around similar to Scott Pilgrim's Super Attack
  • Tech Attack 1: A reference to Street Fighter's Alpha Hazanshu. Ramona somersaults forwards with her left leg out and slams it down on nearby opponents
  • Tech Attack 2: A reference to Street Fighter's Alpha Kikosho. Ramona launches both palms forward releasing a small radius of red energy
  • Sledge Hammer: Ramona's go-to weapon of choice and her most efficient for combat. She can use it in a variety of ways
  • Subspace Purse: Ramona's purse can be utilized for extended range melee combat or to enter Subspace where she can store weapons are amplify herself

Other

Weaknesses: After realizing Scott's past, she begins to distance herself from everyone else until either Scott learns to be a better person, or she leaves entirely due to Scott's lack of responsibility for his actions

Note: All the playable characters, despite minor in-game stat differences and altered special movesets, are nearly identical stat-wise and fight evenly together as a team.
